  1. The argument can be made the other way that a tiered indicator instead of number would mean more people go to the mechanics for preventative repair instead of running it as close to 400 as they can before getting repairs, because let's face it, so many people do that "it'll only stall at X number so no need to get a repair yet" then end up stalling still and requiring roadside
  2. I'm unsure how the way it's displayed has any relation to whether there's mechanics or not. This suggestion isn't modifying anything to do with how it works, just how it's displayed I think.
  3. Completely remove it in place of a check engine light at say 500 imo. Mechanics on duty could "service" a car for a low price or even free to see what the current actual number is to see if it requires repair or not maybe.
  4. Honestly, the fdos for advertising are bad enough right now and require a lot of moderation. I feel like this is a solution to a problem nobody really has. If this gets implemented every property would have a giant billboard on. Furniture like a small poster or for sale sign that has a more permanent fdo text on would be nice in-between that you can place on your property would be cool.
  5. That's exactly how the punishment system currently works. People generally aren't banned without multiple chances before, and even then some people get unbanned to get another chance. Not sure why we'd want to facilitate to people who can't go by the rules so much they get permabanned.
  6. No it's fine, it's not something that's very public but you do have a point about 5 fuel stations being empty. You could totally pursue the suggestions ICly though as well as the government faction does have people dedicated to business stuff like this. The suggestion is definitely noted!
  7. This is already a thing, and you can find it happening on the government website somewhere if you look around. But I do agree, the activity of most (not all) scripted business owners is abysmal.
  8. This kind of already exists within an IC capacity as there's no script support for doing jobs for time off. Talk to some guards about doing work for time off and see if that gets you anywhere, you might get lucky Maybe not 3 hours down to 10 minutes though lmao.
  9. This would still be so good
  10. If this gets considered then it should be the same for weazel offers. And by extension an /ame for accepting said offer
  11. Vehicle classes have different volume capacity, and whilst there are some outliers that don't make much sense, this is how it's balanced primarily. For example, and I don't know the exact numbers, sports cars could have 20 volume and trucks 200. What you're likely describing is a weird edge case where one of the 2 vehicles you speak about is in a vehicle class that it looks different to. I could use my sultan rs for oil mining and go very fast, but I'd only be able to fetch 1 barrel at a time. In terms of the rule suggestion itself, it would be rather hard to limit people from using their inventory space available Personally I'd recommend finding out a specific sports car and pickup you're on about, and their storage values and make a game suggestion about modifying the capacity values to make sense.

  13. Everyone please stop finger pointing from all sides and keep this discussion productive. If the target to the problems you face is the RP of LEO then here's a reminder that you can reach out to Legal Faction Management with suggestions and criticisms (check the staff roster for who is LFM). Someone mentioned lack of staff commenting here, keep in mind at the end of the day we don't really dictate script changes (which a LOT of these are) and that lies mostly with the developers. But still, I imagine several staff are following this thread to read people's thoughts to see what we can do to improve areas people talk about. I personally don't have an awful lot to contribute to the topic at hand being a civ roleplayer primarily (as opposed to criminal or LEO) but that doesn't mean I can't respect the criticisms and difficulties that come with criminal roleplay so let's keep discussion on track and productive!
  14. "You cannot mitigate this as someone else is already doing it" Would be a neat simple QoL change. __ A beefier upgrade would be if you do >50% of the time alongside someone who has already started it you get 50% of the pay as well. (Up to max of 1 helper to avoid everyone stacking) "You helped your co-worker mitigate the site, you earned $xxx"
  15. Few benefits of owning one rather than renting: You can max your own truck. You can just park your own truck In a personal parking area instead of needing to return it. You can do what you want with it as it's not a scripted job vehicle.
  16. The 'realistic' gun noises are gross -1 personally
  17. Just to build on it, maybe don't limit it to pd. Have them go between various sites: PD, SD, MD, DOC, DCC, Weazel, other vehicle related freelance jobs, maintaining government owned vehicles.
  18. Feel free to go comment your thoughts on the other threads though, this was just my opinion Archived
  19. But it's extremely low risk and low reward already? You get one very minor charge if you get caught doing it correctly, the fines which can be made up in like 1 or 2 atm's. So you literally just don't need to get caught for like 3 ATM's and you're running profit until the next time you're caught. It's a petty crime and I think we shouldn't make everything a big money big risk crime. Normally I don't have much say in criminal stuff but ATM's are one of the scripted criminal things I've done a fair few of and if you don't incriminate yourself beyond them catching you smashing the ATM it's super low risk for a bit of extra money. Especially when theres a fair few atm's that are basically "free" due to the location.
  20. There might be a technical reason why not but...it's weird that /vr 1 needs to be a command at all. For a while now if you /vr 1 when you don't need to, it changes nothing (it used to mute you) so I'm not sure why the server doesn't just auto-vr characters every now and then when they do an action
