  1. Thank you for your suggestion. You are more than welcome to post individual suggestions for individual features that you wish to suggest for either side of the field (crim/civilian/legal) (to make it easier for developers). I'm not sure where you are getting your information from but National Guard isn't a thing, and will probably never be an official thing. The only time you'd ever see that is if there's some type of alternative role-play going on which Senior Staff can approve, but there's no development effort needed for that. The same goes for the San Andreas Aviation Service, there is no development effort that goes into it. It's something that @BallinByNature has created and it's purely role-play with the script support that is already in place. Again, there is no development effort that has gone into this, he has been making use of what's already on the server. It's important to keep yourself informed through accurate sources. For the record, we will not limit ourselves to implementing new branches in factions and/or new legal factions if they require no development effort to implement, and there's a specific need for it. Our Development team that consists of NBDY and Osvaldon is trying to update the server with as many features as they possibly can create, and that we want to have. While the criminal side of the community is eager for updates, we also have a civilian side, and legal factions (DCC/Bayview/LSC/DOC/Weazel/LSSD/LSPD) all who wants old features updated and new features scripted. This next update will bring some new and updated features for those who role-play as a criminal, and some for civilians. - Osborn.

Thank you for your suggestion. A bolt cutter system using your suggestion for advice, will be implemented next update.

Hey, out of curiosity, what was your thought process when you put these down together: How come you put panic alarm at 1.5 seconds and the other two, at 1 second? When panic alarm is just a button on the radio that needs to be quickly pressed, which is the same as changing your radio frequency if you have it binded to a SHIFT+KEYBIND. Just trying to get an understanding of what agenda you had when you made this suggestion.
  4. Hello, as I replied to your message, we are comfortable with the response times on appeals right now. Some situations are more controversial than others, some situations are larger than others et cetera, there's plenty of reasons that prompts further deliberation with other Senior Staff. Just because an appeal is pending a Head Administrator, it does not necessarily mean that it's not an appeal that requires further discussion. With that being said, I'll go ahead and archive this. Thank you, - Osborn.
  5. Hello, thank you for your suggestion. At the moment, we are comfortable with what we're offering to new players or current players for questions. We've got a report option for questions that Support Staff handles (and sometimes Moderators+), and we also have a questions channel on our discord server. Those two things should be sufficient for a player to receive answers for their questions. - Osborn.
  6. Thank you for your suggestion. This is something that would need to be suggested In Character to the Police Department. - Osborn.
  7. 2/APR/2020 Changed under 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP): OLD: Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof. NEW: Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof that would give you a valid reason not to return. CLARIFICATION: No major change, just wording. If you cannot return to a role-play situation after crashing due to circumstances, you need to have some form of proof to provide a Moderator+ to potentially be excused. We have also added a discord channel #crash-reports where you can notify staff and players of unexpected crashes from role-play scenes, so that they know when they can expect you to return to conclude the role-play. It's still the player's responsibility to make an effort to inform staff / players involved. Changed under 11. No Crime Zones: OLD: Players may not go to a NCZ after engaging in criminal activity resulting in an ongoing chase. NEW: Players may not go to a NCZ within 15 minutes after engaging in criminal activity, unless you are turning yourself into law enforcement. CLARIFICATION: No Crime Zones weren't meant for an OOC safe haven against retaliation and so forth. If you've done any form of criminal activity within the last 15 minutes, whether it results in a chase or not, you should not take advantage of the OOC protection that No Crime Zones gives. They were not intended for this purpose. The only reason why you'd do this is if you are turning yourself into law enforcement present at the area.
  8. Thank you for your suggestion. This has now been added! - Osborn.
  9. Hello. As previous suggestions, we have no intentions to let legal factions be looted off weapons which this essentially results in. It has been explained in detail on about 5 suggestions already why we don't want this to happen. While we appreciate the suggestion, this system sounds like a system tried on SA-MP which was supported by an army faction, which had access to weaponized vehicles that was often used to protect the transports and facilities holding the crates. This is something that we don't have and most likely won't have in future, and I am sure that the criminal side of this community appreciate the fact that we don't (an army that is). As for equipment (weapons / vehicles) having a cost to the faction, it's simply not supported by the script right now, but I'd imagine that the developers has planned for weapons and vehicles to deduct a certain amount from the faction treasury. I will go ahead and close this before it kicks off, and refer you to read previous suggestions on this subject. - Osborn.
  10. 14/MAR/2020 Changed under 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP): OLD: Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water. NEW: • Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for anything other than its intended purpose. • Submerging any vehicle in water or unrealistically beaching any watercraft. CLARIFICATION: Wording change and separation of submersion rule.
  11. 08/MAR/2020 Changed under 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP): OLD: Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason. NEW: Baiting Government Services - Provoking a reaction from faction services without a realistic reason / or calling faction services to e.g. rob them. CLARIFICATION: Included calling mechanic / taxi / medic etc. services to bait unrealistically or for the sole purpose of robbing them. It got too excessive and ruined game-play experience for taxi drivers and mechanics alike.
  12. 22/FEB/2020 Clarification on Powergaming (Carrying Players) Carrying bodies / injured players without writing /me's and /do's is no longer considered as powergaming due to the recent server update which imposed timers onto /carrybody, /storebody, /dropbody. The previous clarification written on the 10/JUN/2019 announcement which said that it was powergaming, has been removed. We are applying the same principle as looting injured / dead players through the server script, they are too injured to resist.

    Cops ruin RP

Hello. This is what you need to do if you feel that somebody has metagamed your name. Anyone can be reported and potentially punished for rule violations, everyone has to follow the same rules. However, as Dawpi says above, like anyone else on this server, if you meet someone at some point on this server, you can set an alias for them. This will allow you to identify by this alias in the future. That feature is not restricted from Police Officers, they are too allowed to make use of it. I hope we cleared that up for you.
  14. That's a bit taken out of context. We only had 48 members online because we have several scheduled things on Sundays. It's the day when people come online from all timezones to attend their IC meetings, you didn't have 48 members patrolling in the city. Supervisor Meeting Command Meeting SWAT Training Investigations Meeting This has been the case for several months now. Recruitment for EU in PD is closed at the moment but we will continue to recruit for NA and OC as we lack members in those times. PD is expected to provide the server with 24/7 service to all players, PD is not expected to just focus on a single situation, they are meant to be able to take care of multiple situations at once.
  15. Hello, thank you for your suggestion. All of our staff are volunteers and all the time they contribute to this community is purely voluntarily, we appreciate what they do every day. Depending on the volume of punishment appeals, and the nature of them, it may take longer in some cases to receive a response than usual. As for technical issues etcetera, we've got a fully staffed Support Staff team to assist you with that - and the easiest and quickest way to get assistance regarding technical issues is through #i_have_a_question on discord. As for player reports, they are done on regular basis by Senior Support and above. I will not comment on your ban on this suggestion, if you are still an active user and wish to appeal this, you may attempt to do so. - Osborn.
  16. Hello, thank you for your suggestion. We have since the creation of this suggestion strengthened our conflict of interest policy and situations involving persons whom staff members may have a conflict of interest with should be handled by another staff member, unless of course it's an emergency and/or there are no other staff members available at the time, or that they're a senior member of the Staff Team (Administrators). This has and will not be an issue, but you can always reach out to a member of Senior Staff if you have concerns about a Staff Member and a potential conflict of interest. - Osborn.
  17. 25/JAN/2020 Changed under 13. Fear Roleplay (FRP): OLD: Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover. NEW: Driving a vehicle into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover for a friend or yourself, or fleeing with it. CLARIFICATION: Following a staff team meeting, we recognized that the wording of the old line made it seem like you could circle back into an active shootout and ram players in that shootout using "the intent of protecting a friend". This now means that you cannot drive into an active shootout more than once with the intent to ram players in that shootout, unless it's unavoidable when you are trying to flee from the active shootout. Added under 15. Player Theft, Prison Breakout, and Kidnapping Players can give consent to other players to be kidnapped outside of the stipulations above if the roleplay makes sense, but they should in such cases avoid involving law enforcement in any way due to the consented roleplay. CLARIFICATION: There has been times when two or more players have been involved in a roleplay where one party has wanted to kidnap the other party, but being unable to do so because they hadn't met the stipulations to do so. We are now allowing players to consent to being kidnapped, however, due to the consented roleplay, we ask that all players involved tries their best not to involve law enforcement. (No longer valid since new rules update).
  18. ECLIPSE SERVER RULES CHANGELOG All changes to and clarifications on our official server rules will be documented on this forum thread. Previous updates (not covered in the changelog): 10/JUN/2019 17/JUL/2019 17/DEC/2019
  19. Thank you for your suggestion. We do not believe that the current timer needs to be changed, it's part of the whole mentality of fearing over your assets - Use your vehicles wisely, and leave them in wise spots or utilize scripted parking lots to despawn them while not in use. - Osborn.

  22. It has already been explained in the past why jail times are like they are, we even lowered jail times for individual crimes. The connection between drug labs and jail times is irrelevant, because majority of players that go to jail isn't in direct result of a drug lab. There has to be consequences. for constant action role-play, our previous jail times did not have sufficient consequences. Role-play in prison is nothing that we can force through a script, players are always going to have to be the main source when it comes to role-play and it's up to them to carry on their role-play into prison, when it's their role-play that lands them inside those walls in the first place. There are plans to make drug labs and chop shops more portable and relevant to official factions, it will come in due time, but that is not going to be some magic wand that fixes everything. The mentality of criminals will have to adapt that they cannot go around like it's The Dark Knight Rises, it's the unfortunate reality of things. If you have a gun on you, and you're being approached by an officer, it's your choice if you want to surrender, accept that you will most likely to go jail for 25 or 60 minutes (depending on the gun), with the possibility of reduced time (which is a reward officers can give for good RP) - If you don't surrender, shoot your way up, evade, commit all these crimes in result of that one gun, it's on you. Community leadership does not believe in the previous jail sentences, our vision for the immersion we seek would not work hand to hand with 2 hour jail sentences. - Osborn.
  23. And have you seen how the police deals with those cartels? E.g. Mexico. If you want that, by your logic, we should also gear up the police department to deal with that properly. I assume that's something we don't want to see, so let's not have criminals driving around in imported insurgents and PHANTOM WEDGES. Aside from the vehicles and AP Pistol, I agree to the suggestion. TEC-9 is already a custom import for official gangs.
  24. I can support /pw being changed to only have 1 of each weapon and for the ammunition in them to save, so if you use ammunition up and store it back, it wouldn't let you take out more ammunition of out thin air. I do not support what Rubsmeister suggested as physically storing a weapon in the vehicle inventory means that it can also be stolen, which we've already said is not going to be an option on several suggestions.
  25. I like this! I think it could be fun thing personally.
