  1. Stop AFKing and ignoring calls, and you would be active the entire time. Fishing is 90 seconds between dings. I throw beach parties while fishing all the time. And it is easily 8k an hour. And you don't need to log on duty, have bosses, deal with customers, call in codes, and can't just stop immediately if you need to go do something IC or OOC. Gov job and fishing both have their advantages and disadvantages, and doesn't change the base argument here, that fishing income shouldn't be greater than Gov. manager pay.
  2. Or.....PD can look at their own operations and talk to civilians? See if they can improve? It shouldn't take formal complaints and people rioting in the streets for Cops to self-examine what they are doing. They are there to protect and serve. Not harass and bully.
  3. No comment on the reward parts of this discussion. But....Yah the cop presence and behavior is a bit ridiculous. I was in a cab yesterday and did an "illegal" U-turn (US law it is not illegal!!). So....2 unmarked cars followed by 2 cruises come speeding at me. I thought the 2 cops were chasing the 2 unmarked (they didn't have lights at all). I tried to turn off their course, but they followed, so I tried to get to the side and out of the way thinking they'd fly past me in pursuit of the unmarked, instead they surround me and run me to the side yelling to pull over. I hit the curb as I did. about 6 officers jump out. Keep in mind.... I was in a Friggin Cab, going under 79 (I know this because my cruise was set and passed a camera that didn't ticket me). And of course....give me 2 citations, for "illegal" U-turn and hitting a curb. They were rude and condescending the entire time, and had no interest in RPing with a civilian. They just wanted to speed off to their next chase or gunfight. These cops are so hungry to get in car chases and gunfights, they act completely crazy on the roads, and have ZERO concern for regular citizens. I do believe, the PD can and should do better.
  4. If I put in 3 months of time to work up the chain, with increased responsibility, and additional requirements of time, I think that should make more then a job anyone can do at anytime. You really think its a good thing that I should choose to fish over a management job that took 160 hours of play to earn? My position stands, fishing should not be raised unless the gov salary cap is raised also. And treasuries increased to meet the higher pay scale.
  5. For the love of god, yes please! Any sort of Outfit UI would be great...…. ^^ Me with all my bags of cloths. ^^

It is ALWAYS the choice of the customer. Privacy: We have a STRICT privacy policy, and no information discussed at our center will leave our center. We strongly believe in trust and safety of our customers, and as such will go to the grave with the secrets and stories entrusted to us. 11. Its capped at 8k. And the funding was barely enough to pay us last month. If the gov caps hourly pay at 8k, then my point is completely relevant. Farming is 9k.
  12. Updated the guide to include GPS and Map info.
  13. Reducing control over what a gang can do is not something I think that should be done. Not to mention it would create a monopoly over that area (weapons gang could control all guns...huge financial and tactical advantage). Instead, I think there should just be more options for gangs to do. Right now, actions a gang can take to make money is limited, especially for newer gangs. It has been requested over and over for more gang/crime activity, including more interaction between civilian and criminals. Hopefully it will happen eventually.
  14. Fishing is already one of the highest income per hour as a civilian. I am a manager at DCC after 3 months of wrking there and making it up the ranks....and make less than fishing. Fishing income is fine. Gov jobs need a serious raise. Variety of fishing, or a bit more exciting experience would be great though.
  15. Don't love the idea of getting super powers for taking drugs....but would be nice if they were not just a thing you turned into an npc. But not sure how to make them worth buying, outside of the RP value.
  16. You guys disagree. Move on. You both have valid points. Going back and forth saying the same thing in different ways isn't helping. Food and water heal, but really shouldn't. If a medic just gives painkillers and Band-Aids, why cant we have first aide kits? they could provide a small HP boost, say 10%. Adds something to the economy, makes it more realistic than food magically healing you, and would limit abuse because you couldn't just heal up in combat, if its 10% and they have a action bar. As for the "serious injury" debate, serious injury is when you actually get "injured" across your screen. Anything up to that point could be treated with a first aide kit. And, like it is now, if you choose to RP more than that you can. (a different issue exists, if you think hitting poles with a car should injure you, that should be the argument, and has nothing to do with the OPs suggestion)
  17. Although I agree with this, and definitely think it would be a cool idea to be able to progress as a side job, and make it your main RP JOB.... There is only one issue: The pay for side jobs is much higher than the Gov jobs at the bottom rung. In order for this to work, side jobs at base would half to be cut nearly in half (DCC employees start at 4k, go up to 7500k.....yet money courier starts at 6500-7k) So for this system to take effect, new players to the server would take a serious pay cut, which I am not a fan of at all. (or Gov jobs would need a raise, which is highly unlikely) The main benefit of joining a Gov faction is that if you stick with it, it will eventually outpace side jobs. If that advantage was removed, there would be little reason to join a gov faction, which some of them (DCC included) has issues finding long-term, stable employees. -1
  18. DCC runs these buses, and I can tell you first hand, there are very few people who will use them. The time it takes to wait on the bus then get to your stop (if the stop is even on the route....and YES we will reroute for customers) is greater than simply calling a cab. I run them during the heaviest times on the server, and still rarely get more than 3-4 customers in an hour or more. I stopped doing them because the reality is, people don't use them. But by all means, try and prove me wrong, and create the Bus Company of your dreams.
  19. All side jobs carry risk. Farming more so than others, because the pay off is higher. I hated being robbed at the farms, and hate that the risk is too high now for me to do it anymore. However, I don't think removing the risk of robbery should be considered from any of the side jobs. It is actually one of the few interactions between gangs and civilians that I think is healthy for Eclipse. At least with side jobs, robbers have a reason and a reasonable target for the robbery. Which is much better then the random attacks on people in the streets. There are IC means of doing farming safely.

    New rule

Yah I have to agree here. I have seen people in person IRL pretty severely wounded, fight off attackers. It is a bit silly you can fall down and twist and ankle, but have absolutely no way to prevent people from digging in your pockets and taking all your shit. I don't see an reason that a /frisk and approve should be negated during an injury. Add on top of that, it is rare people doing this show any sort of RP at all.
  21. As stated by others, if there is enough interest, this could be implemented IC. And is currently being worked on by The Wanted. If you have the energy and passion to make this a reality, I recommend joining up with them and putting in the time and effort to make it come to light. Its unlikely the Devs are going to create a faction for you/us. The best way to create new factions/organizations/business types is to create it ICly, and if it gets enough attention, it is possible Devs add some support for it. An example of this is the casino which is now an NCZ.
  22. If a robber does not have KOS, and wants to kidnap me..... I can give permission for it to happen. You can give permission for anything to happen to you. That's what I meant by permission. If they don't have KOS, I can deny them from kidnapping, because of the rules. But if a robber does a good scene, and has some reason for it, I would be all game. What I don't want is 2 new players just out being idiots and causing as much chaos as possible and ignoring all rules running into me and taking me on a kidnapping joyride.
  23. Disagree. The rules already allow you to kidnap people if you have KOS. I am speaking from a Civilian perspective, and we already have our money/time/car/sanity taken during a robbery. I don't need criminals then taking me on a joy ride for no reason, because they want to force me to go on some RP journey with them when I have no control of the situation, and no prior RP reason to RP with said criminal. If they create a great scene, and have some semblance of a reason for kidnapping, then I will agree to it. But no, I don't want any random jerk taking control of my time.
  24. Thanks for the support everyone! I changed the image for Impound, and made a few grammar changes. If anyone has suggestions or feedback, feel free to PM me!
  25. This job would be the end-all be-all job is this ever happened. No other job, even gov jobs provide this level of security. The security of the job plays a factor into choosing what job to do. I believe it should stay that way. A change like this would have to come with a serious nerf to the money you can make doing it, which I don't think anyone wants. A good example of how this works, is the money courier, which is about the safest job but one of the lowest paying. Versus fishing which is rather unsafe, and easy to get robbed, but pays several K more per hour. I think this is a good model.
