  1. I agree with Osborn. I do not support this.
  2. Didn't have many interactions with ya, but could tell you had a good heart. Rest in peace.
  3. I think that I just might be able to give my two cents here. I play as more of a legal player (though not a great driver, so I've amassed quite a bit of reckless operation charges) and know many of the intricacies that come with such a play-style. With this said, though, if we're looking for more realism and similarities to real life, then a way to expunge felonies makes perfect sense. I understand and agree that felony charges should be a slap in the face and motivate people to begin living a cleaner life. Right now, though, this doesn't make much sense because once you have that felony charge, you're done - that's it - you can't join any legal factions and are basically reduced to either starting your own business (which you can't do without a stable source of income), or doing scripted jobs, which aren't much fun. I think that this leads many to continue their criminal ways and why at least 85% of the server RP crimainls. Having a way to prove that you've truly changed and in a way, expunge your records would be a giant leap for the server and RP on ECRP in general. As the Head of Administration for the LSEMS (the side that looks at recruitment applications), I'd love to see someone RP being a criminal who has changed his ways and is now looking to start a better life as a medic. When I started on ECRP not too long ago, I was robbing stores with my friend and was caught once. In this instance, I was only given a petty theft charge (thanks @heartgg and @Tomis13lack). This allowed me to RP something like this, but having a way to expunge the charges, possibly with the implementation of a judicial system would allow more people to RP something similar. Hell, if an expungement system was implemented, I'd do so myself. Obviously, I don't think this would be for hard criminals coming straight out of factions with hundreds of felonies to their name, but mainly for people who've RPly made a mistake and want to change their ways.

    Death

-1 from me Chief. In real life, when you die, that’s it - you don’t respawn with NLR rules in place (RPly comatose). As others have mentioned, people will attempt to forcibly get shot in the head or escalate a situation just to avoid jail time. Sounds good on paper, but really not a good idea in practice.
  5. Try using the /vehiclestats command in-game. This might provide you with the status of your vehicle. The "Not Found" bug on the ECRP Panel is quite common, but doesn't mean that you don't own the vehicle.
  6. I'm kind of undecided on this one. I'm not sure whether this is a necessary change. Seeing as most of the RP that happens at the current parking lot is "hends up out of car," at least from what I've seen, I don't think there's really a point in adding this. If they're all locked and immune, then there isn't really much of a point in having them be spawned in regardless. This isn't to mention the immense amount of server resources and lag that this would cause for many people. I'm not sure about this one, chief.
  7. +1. Tired of rotting with my big black dildo by my side.
  8. I 100% agree. I’m kind of tired of seeing name changes for the one and only purpose of clearing a criminal record.

    Masktoggle

Would also be nice if you could be able to /masktoggle and it automatically took the mask from your inventory (if you only had one) and used it.
  10. This can be fixed by medics or police officers through the use of /invehicle and /eject. If you're online right now, PM me (/pm John_Newton) and I can help you out. Your best bet would still be to /report and try to get an admin to your location, though.
  11. This thread has become... something. I personally feel that we need a solution that works for all parties. In the LSEMS Discord, we've been discussing this very topic. I think that we can all agree that there needs to be better RP from both criminals and cops. Part of this is making sure that crimes are accounted for. Even though it's been memed at this point, if you do the crime, you have to do the time. While it's true that this is a roleplay server, and many people want to RP outside of the prison, there is still a lot of roleplay to be done. I remember a couple of weeks ago, when I was playing on my criminal character, an old dude, I actually had a lot of fun and dreaded my sentence ending. I remember getting a little coalition of guys, and even though I was locked in my cell, I managed to encourage them in the fight against an opposing group (hey Sonny). While I wish DOC guards didn't just pull out tasers and lock you in a cell, I guess it's part of the RP. Now, with the addition of mining and poker, there's so much more to do. I actually developed my character quite a bit when I was just sitting around in prison (apparently he's a former mob boss now). With that said, here's my suggestion (based upon input from others): Let jail times go down even when logged off BUT only to two hours and at half the speed. During the two hours (or more) that you're logged in, you MUST show good RP, which would be judged by prison guards (if there are none on-duty, you just get taken out automatically). This would not only promote good RP, but also give DOC guards more to do (other than AFK sim). They could choose to RP corruption, but they both them and the person they're releasing early would still have to show good RP. DOC IA could also get some more work (@Liam Crawford wink wink) and purpose. Remove the AFK timer (easy enough to understand). Cap the amount of prison time amassed through server-applied charges (such as Reckless Operation) to four or eight hours (could be debated). If this was implemented, you would probably see better RP overall, since it would have to be developed in prison, though I cannot confirm or deny this on a scientific level. Even though I'm speaking to you as someone who mainly RPs as a civilian, I think that there needs to be some aspect of criminal RP on the server - it not only gives PD more of a purpose, but it allows for good character development (depending on the player). The problem right now is that at least 80% of people on the server are criminals and there are no repercussions for their criminal actions. Implementing a system that not only helps them develop their RP, but also helps civilians is one that is necessary at this point.
  12. +1. If something like this is possible, I'm all for it.
  13. I like this suggestion a lot, but just have some quick questions. How would the labs be acquired? Through illegal imports and the like? Also, would these function like the drug labs we have now, in which you can craft everything, or would they be limited to a single drug?
  14. +1. I think that the possible RP opportunities that could come from this suggestion are great, as well as the ones further expanded on in the comments. I think that the ammo benches and mini-drug labs would have to be acquired through illegal means, and not just bought from the furniture store though. I don't really know what these means would be, but if someone has any ideas, please expand on them further in the comments. I don't personally like criminal RP, but this is a great suggestion regardless.
  15. I am fond of this idea. Could also lead to some community service RP for both criminals and people who want to help out.
  16. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your time in our community.
  17. I don't understand how that's funny. This is a roleplay server, any chance to expand on roleplay and make friends is a good one in my book.
  18. Maybe not, but that’s part of the RP. Obviously, you wouldn’t trust someone that just came in, but what if you befriend them? There’s a lot of chances to expand on RP that I think having a test-driving feature would take away.
  19. -1. I think that one of the things that not having test driving promotes is more player interaction and roleplay. When you have to ask others if a car is good or not, or whether you can drive their car, then you get more opportunities to meet new people and expand your character on the server.
  20. This would be the wrong section of our forums to ask this question, but I'll help you out regardless. You can join the server and take our roleplay quiz, as well as create your in-game account using this video tutorial. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have in this thread, and I'll do my best to answer them.
