  2. I did mention all these 4 things needed above in my post
  3. Hey, I am aware that this suggestion has been brought up in the past, but I think its time for it to be re-visited. As the crim updates kick in a lot more people are found active with their gameplay, both crim wise and ems wise, which sometimes results in periods where people spend an hour waiting for an officer to release the vehicle that was just illegaly parked which doesnt seem fair considering PD irl doesnt even handle impound yet people spend their irl hours waiting for it. As I played and still play both sides for quite some time now( Crim and PD ) I think I can speak for both, now lets move on to the suggestion itself: The way I suggest impound to be scripted is fairly simple, impounding vehicles should remain the same, but release should be as follows: An NPC should be placed in a booth object at impound, once a player approaches him and selects the vehicle from the list ( for example same menu from garages used in houses ), the script checks if they have any charges placed on them and if their drivers license is valid, if they do, they are told that the release is impossible at this time and sends a call to PD/SD ( Depending on Impound location ) same way the shipment calls come in. If they do not seem to have a valid license, they are instructed to renew it at DMV and come after they have obtained a valid drivers license. In case of them being clean, NPC releases their selected vehicle with them paying the fee as they do at the moment in case vehicle hasnt been safely impounded. I feel that this way both sides would be happy, as PD/SD could focus on more hands on approach with the calls and crime, while players can have a guaranteed release if they meet conditions to do so instead of waiting for a cop to come by, especially in dead hours where there are few units on duty sometimes none for SD in the early hours.
  4. Dont wanna necro but feel like I have to, because people here are just complaining and saying stuff for the purpose of complaining and saying stuff First of all to all of you saying " you wont see this IRL " a simple answer is, you also wouldn't see so many different groups in the city as small as this ( size wise aka how long it takes u from triads hq to lsd for example ) and also bigger issue, characters. If I was able to have indefinite amount of usable clothing options or vehicle modifications on any vehicle I have I could make myself 100% unique compared to legit anyone else around me but as we are all limited to a specific amount of identical modifications/colors/clothing, and we encounter each other 50+ times a day as the city is traversed so fast, it gets quite easy for people to blend in with each other specially with gang members who preffer to have ie: fast 2 door for cop chases, so obviously they will be going for rapid/comet etc. and not a sentinel or moonbeam. Second thing I'd like to address is the " its our color " ... It's not even about that, never was, as I have said above with limited character creation + clothing options + vehicle modification options as it is a game and not real life where new things are created daily, we are all limited to same things. So yes maybe I can recognize someone I've known for a while lets say Jay or Maria or Larry or Langley or Sanchez just by their voice, but at the same time there are people with voices that are not that specific and is easy to get confused if they are who you think they are or not ( specially with masked alts ). But the most important reason for this is because of the gang aggression. For example if a civilian rocking blue clothes/car does shit to an allied/neutral gang it causes not needed and time consuming drama for people from Zetas to deal with, or just in general does stupid shit which gives the Zetas a bad name. Same can be said for any gang, for example during wars or during any sort of aggressive behavior from any gang towards another whether its at a drug selling point, house raid, drug lab, or any other situation like that, entire wars can start over people wearing specific outfits aka faking a groups identity to sturr up shit... All and all, there are more than 10 different reasons as to why gangs usually stick to a specific color, specially as they are growing up so they can be clearly distinguished and create their image in the city and underground scene, but it is never just as a flex or show of dominance, its mostly to avoid dramas, conflicts and confusion between members of the said gang and allied/neutral gang members. After all, I still believe and always will that it is an IC issue, if anyone ever wanted to fight for a color they could've and they always will be able to, there is a reason why some groups are rocking a color for more than 2 years and some groups lost it in a matter of weeks.. Stop taking IC into OOC, and start building for yourself ingame instead of on forums/discords
  5. I will just repeat what I've been saying for past 1-2 years, crim rp is way too scripted ( as in predictable, repetitive etc. ) and not nearly enough dynamic and impulsive/natural.. Almost 90% of criminal interactions with an ENEMY gang/group are predictable, with the rules limiting what u can and cant do without consent or some other reasoning behind it, every situation ends up in the receiving end already knowing all 2-3 possible outcomes and just bases his gameplay off that knowledge. He knows that he cant be shot if he puts hands up, he knows he cant be kidnapped, he knows he cant do this or that, so whatever he does or says or the people engaging the roleplay doesn't matter, because the roleplay has already been presented to them via restrictions that are in place, which leads to situations where during robberies people put their hands up, talk shit, act disrespectful etc. usually followed by /b I got my hands up/ I am complying you cannot do anything besides take my stuff etc. Which is the reason why the criminals here have mostly become businessman with a .50 or a heavy on them, because whats the point of watching a movie if you know what will happen already ?
  6. You do not understand where are we coming from, the point of the matter are not specific rules, but the mindset and mentality of people basing their IC actions on their OOC Knowledge of the rules, instead of following the RP the way it is already going in... Take a look at the problem going on for years regarding gangs shit talking other gangs/people at bank. You are safe because you are in under an NCZ, you are not really doing anything illegal so RPly u got rights to do it, but people abuse the fact that they know other gangs cannot touch them there to trash talk them sometimes even for hours. It is just one of the many examples where peoples ingame actions are based on their OOC knowledge of the rules and their abuse...
  7. +1 been an issue for a long time, specially ncz abuse
  8. @Kyle White Raven The reason why it is player money and not government, its because to make people understand the value of THEIR inventory, if it was payed by government how would 1 individual feel responsible for his vehicle or weapons when again he wouldn't lose anything by doing it? Some things might not have a " reasoning " icly but make more sense oocly for the sake of gameplay improvement
  9. I believe the simplest and easiest way to make both PD/SD/SADOC more realistic and " nerf " them is to just make people pay for their inventory. Now what do I mean by that, well as it is done IRL both cruisers and weaponary is signed out by an individual when taken out of the weaponary inside the precinct, so the change I would be really happy with both RP and Gameplay wise and I am pretty sure most would agree is to assign a monetary value to both vehicle and guns/ammo which would be payed for from their SALARY ( IE: If you are about to be paid 100k at the end of the week, removing the cost of Crown Vic + Carbine + ammo you end up with 50k for example obviously numbers are a subject to change but its clear enough for example which means if you haven't earned enough money through salary aka playing the game, you cannot just log in once a week and take a carbine and a super car out unless you are high rank ie: high command+ which all this wouldnt apply to) For example : On the first time when I take a vehicle as a member of PD during a week ( When salaries roll out ) depending on the vehicle of choice I pay a certain amount of money for it ( Look at it as leasing/renting a vehicle ) so for the argument sake let's say Crown Vic costs 40.000$ and make it so every time I " spawn " in crown vic it will be that specific one and in the same condition as it was when I have parked it ( same fuel, same state visually and same state engine wise ) What is the point of it? Well quite easily it will make people do several things : 1) Value their vehicle as they will have to repair it and refuel it making both their driving regularly and in pursuits different as every time they'd flip bcs they would go for an insane ram or go in a turn 200 km/h and slam into a wall they would be losing money out of their pocket 2) As vehicles wont be free, the swaps of vehicles will be lower and departments inside PD will be considerably more distinct both RP and gameplay wise as you wouldn't see high rank members taking cars/vehicles as they please and parking them 10 minutes later to take a new one Same goes for weaponary and I will list examples bellow as how it would work : Taking a Carbine out would cost 10.000$ with every 100 rounds costing the same amount of money criminals pay for their ammunation ( STOCK PRICE ) so in this case Carbine ammo = AK ammo price wise. With this introduction, it would not only make people carry less weapons around with them, but also selectively use them and not for example use a carbine for every situation, or spray 100 bullets when 10-20 are needed with a bit of a smarter playstyle. At the end of a shift both weapon and vehicle are remembered to the specific character and every time they'd take that weaponary out in the same week they wouldn't pay a fee but they wouldn't be able to obtain a fresh vehicle/new carbine but would need to take more ammo from weaponary inside precinct ( which they'd pay for ) and repair a vehicle inside LSC/Bayview back to its original state. I am prepared for people to disagree with me but I am pretty sure that many would see this as a very nice way to both increase and highly differentiate RP inside PD/SD/SADOC and divisions inside each of them and at the same time " nerf " both the mentality and playstyle of legal factions. ps: i am typing this in a rush so grammar mistakes are possible, if somehow this idea goes through I will be more than happy to make a more detailed post on how everything would work and explain my idea in depth.

    Los Zetas

@JayGamble Sad day to see this happening brother
  11. It is not redundant, usage of /time gives a more accurate and easier way to see time without having to convert the unix. I do not see the big deal of typing /time every 48h to support your RP ? If you are doing same type of action that can influence potential RP ie: putting on gloves, throwing away your license, burning your fingerprints etc. etc. you will be doing it or encountering situations in which that RP will be needed daily, so by doing 1 simple command of /time as an addition to the RP you do anyways every 48h to extend the validation of it is not that big of a deal, to be honest this post feels more like a try to get a way out and to make something that is currently easy, even easier because of laziness
  12. +-1, they should just add CCTV to the clothing stores, so cops can do their /ldo RP
  13. In what world it makes sense for there to be government placed cameras monitoring a Farm?
  14. Exactly which is why I think this would benefit everyone not just criminals, because yes people might get out of prison earlier, but for the cost of money which would benefit economy in a span of few months, not to mention that since it would be available only for " hardcore " arrests of over IE: 4 hours, they would still have to spend certain amount of time in prison instead of being set free instantly
  15. I love the idea of it, but I think making a call for a spot to arrive is kinda busted as if its remote enough or away would make it too easy for us to get people revived I think maybe a better way to get PD/SD to approve of this would be to make it same as chopshops with certain amount of locations around the map at which the doctor would have his office for a certain amount of time, let's say 6h IG so we would still have to deliver the injured person using a trunk but to a more secluded area ? PS: Bruce u're on a roll with these suggestions
  16. I love this, but I would only dedicate this to faction HQs and not public hot spots, because it would remove the point of parking tickets and fees regarding that
  17. With the infinite amount of possible hours in the prison with very little to do in it, and current state of the Economy I believe a system like Bail or something similar would be beneficial for both criminals/legals and the economy itself. Suggestion itself is as follows: Add an option to reduce the time in prison using your own money or having someone pay it for you. IE: 10k per 30 minutes in prison, with this being an option for only prisoners with the jail time over X ( A number of hours to be chosen by staff if this suggestion becomes accepted and implemented ), my suggestion would be for this to be an option for sentences over 4 hours. And with every 30 minutes you wish to reduce the fee builds up by 25% of previous one, so IE: 10k for first 30min, 12.5k for second 30min, 15.625 for another 30min etc. I believe in a long run this would affect the economy of the server as it would serve as a money dump because I believe most criminals that end up in situations where they are placed for 5+ hours would rather pay certain amount of money than stay there with the current lack of content inside the prison, and it would also make the criminal lifestyle a lot more enjoyable specially in the situations where gangs are at war or in general fighting, which makes people carry heavy weapons, pistols, get felony evading or reckless during chases etc. so charges do rack up pretty fast even if no actions
  18. +1 EDIT: Personally I think the afk should be brought back to prison untill we have a more established system of RP activities inside the prison, because at the moment Poker is empty as it requires 1500 buy in, stamp exchange for reduced time is useless as the time it takes to mine 1000 ore to reduce 100 seconds is more than the reduction itself and makes no sense to do it, and even if Guards did some sort of RP there is only so much they can do via /me and /do to provide entertainment because not everyone inside prison has same take on RP or sees same activity as having FUN

    NCZ Change

Hey, I just want to make a quick suggestion regarding NCZs as they are now after this long of a period since their introduction being abused by mostly criminals and civilians. What people do is run away into an NCZ either after a crime or just to get away, and yes it's okay to do that to find safety if u were a victim of a crime, but at the same time I think it's pretty dull and counter immersive to run into an invisible barrier. What I suggest is to make NCZ be only INSIDE the building itself, as IRL a simple street camera would not prevent a crime from being committed, but an indoor secured area would ( not including major scenarios like bar fights, bank robberies etc. ) . PS: I am not only talking about RP being paused as a person walks/drivers into NCZ but also the OOC arguments that arise from it On a side note, to not completely disregard the NCZ safety outside for civilians who just come there to chill and talk with mates, make crimes committed inside the NCZ itself double the time/fine, so myself as an individual can make a choice if I am going to go and shoot up a guy outside the bank but face the double fine and jailtime if caught later on. I am fully aware that I will get a lot of negative comments or people disagreeing with me, but I believe that in order for RP to evolve and to become actually GOOD because players become better and more immersed at it, it shouldn't be SCRIPTED. More freedom people have with their day to day actions, more fun people will have, and I think NCZ would be a first thing to change for any sort of immersion to occur.
