  1. AI is not supported with RAGE.
  2. How could it make it easier if they're not working directly with LSPD/LSEMS/etc? They could be teaching wrong or outdated ways compared to active curriculum.
  3. This is an unrelated faction started by ex-members.
  4. No. If you don't want to get scammed, use Highend or the markers outside the property to sell. This is caused by greed, because people don't want to pay the tax. Pay the tax, or risk getting scammed. It's a give and take. You want to not pay the tax, and have no risk.
  5. Anyone can CK or abuse system without CKing, there is no approval/vetting system.
  6. "Fair" is subjective. Some people might consider it realistic for them to overpower two cops while they're trying to cuff them. What you're describing is roll/dice RP which is possible with /roll, however a good majority of players (including myself) frown upon it, as it leaves to RNG what shouldn't be left to RNG. Using this system I could do all sorts of crazy stuff such as /me attempts to flip the car /roll. That's an exaggerated example, but less obvious powergaming can easily be facilitated by the seemingly "fair" nature of dumb luck.
  7. Logically, the namechange and records wipe command at the LSPD, would've only been used when you CKed, to reflect the fact that you're a new person. However people abused it and added one letter to their name, roleplaying the same exact person, but with a clear criminal record. Some of them even tried applying for a gun permit. As far as I know, no one received a punishment for this. In the same community, how many people would change the shade of their eyebrows and then reset aliases for everyone? "Oh it could be me, but it also could be my imaginary twin brother with slightly darker eyebrows, you don't know." Until such silly scenarios get punished severely by the administration, I don't see how we can welcome such easily abused systems.
  8. The over usage of "/do success?" is a relic from NGG, which most of the staff comes from. It is in fact possible to roleplay at a high level without /do success, and it is in fact considered fail RP to RP this way on many serious RP servers. However, this is the way the community was built from the ground up, and I don't see it changing any time soon, nor is there a desire to get it changed by the vast majority of the community. The short and long of it is that regardless of the state of the other player, you have to ask in /do if you are successful. On to the point about FearRP restricting RP scenarios. It does, by definition, all rules restrict RP scenarios. What if you wanted to roleplay a serial killer? You can't do that because of the DM rules either. That's fine. The fact is that in real life we have all sorts of people that live outside of the norm: serial killers, people with a deathwish, daredevils and so on. The thing is that if we allowed everyone to roleplay in those ways, everyone would, because in contrast to real life, you just respawn on the server, with very little penalty for dying.
  9. -1 The way the namechange system has been abused, I can't even imagine how abused a clear alias feature would be.
  10. The latest wave of screenshots and accompanying stories are truly amazing. Great job!
  11. Date and time (provide timezone): 24/AUG/2019 GMT+2 Character name: Jason Steel Issue/bug you are reporting: Puting a mask on and joining the farmer job results in the mask being invisible Expected behavior: The mask should still appear over your face Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Your name will still be hidden Equip any mask Join farmer job Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  12. The issue with the old way was that people went to unrealistic lengths to protect the frequency. I think @JayGamble can attest to how many times I had to get a moderator to obtain a frequency. I remember having an incident in which a person said that his radio's screen was broken, that it did not have any usb slots as it was vintage, and I couldn't just use it because it also was broken, also if we tried to switch the screen, we had to provide screenshots of learning how to switch radio screens with /time. It was incidents like those that eventually resulted in what we have now.
  13. I never said that's good RP. I think we both know that there's a middle ground here, and it's not the status quo. Perhaps you could have special radio imports that come with the screen scratched off, similar to how unique weapons are imported. That could be a good compromise.
  14. It's almost as if there's going to be drawbacks to having a huge gang instead of all positives, no one is forcing you to have 60 people in your gang. I also like how you never challenged the fact that changing your frequency instantly is bad RP, only the fact that it's inconvenient to not do so. I should think that we should all strive for better RP, and not just convenience.
  15. We used to have an issue with people hanging on for dear life for their frequency and resorting to questionable roleplay such as scratching the radio screen of every radio they ever got, and when that got corrected by the announcement, people started playing fair with the frequency, but now it seems that people are once again trying their best to win over good RP. You will have people at gunpoint changing their frequency, injured people changing their frequency and even people changing their frequency mid falling animation. I suggest we add a ten second timer to changing radio frequency.
  16. I think if you're interested in racing you'll go with the Wanted. They had a week or two when they hosted public legal races too but now its mostly illegal races. Most definitively the most active group that partakes in this kind of activity.
  17. A good amount of weapons are available for official factions in the form of custom imports. You'll have to find out IC exactly which and what price they go for. Vehicles get added every now and then, but there are a number of "realistic" vehicles which have very good performance to the point where we'll have another comet retro situation. (where a sports is better than most supers). I'd say a more important thing would be to update the modmenu to get access to more customization options on the cars already in.
  18. If you did that, under the current interpretation of the rules, you would be guilty of deathmatching.
  19. The solution to a perceived unrealistic amount of robberies is to make vehicles godmode? It doesn't make any sense. If you have an issue with people robbing too much, address that issue directly. Propose a rule that doesn't allow street robberies when the bank is open (during the day), that's it, you cut unrealistic robberies by like 70%. Vehicles are used by a very wide range of people, from criminals to cops. They should not be safe heavens.
  20. I for one believe that if someone aims a gun at you/your car and he tells you to do something, if your engine is on, you may choose to not follow it, but he can shoot you for it. Anything else does not make any sense. You're making the demand with a gun, the other party makes a choice to ignore it, he should face consequences. I don't see why people in vehicles are being granted special protection. You are creating a situation in which you are never allowed to shoot at someone that's in a vehicle. If his engine is off, he will be FORCED to obey FearRP and get out, and if his engine is on, you can not shoot him because he's not under FearRP? It is very puzzling.
  21. The money is all spawned.
  22. That uniform looks familiar.
  23. It's like you said. "but someone who is getting a large sentence should be a trial thing" exactly what a large sentence is could be up for debate. Most people do not get large sentences, it's only the really egregious ones that do. If you just run from a traffic stop (which is a common chase/arrest reason), you would realistically receive an 80 minute sentence, if you also had an unlicensed gun on you, it's 110. I don't think that's particularly large, since it's still under what the old cap was. Would you have a trial involving all of the required people over a sentence less than 2 hours? I wouldn't, I don't believe it would be practical.
  24. That will almost always be SWAT during a special operation, and almost always in response to someone evading on a Hakuchou Drag themselves. If you want to argue that the bike is unrealistic, fair enough, remove it from the server, but you can't have criminal characters abuse it every day and when a cop does it, its very NonRP.
  25. Why? Check youtube for helicopter chases. Most of them the guy won't even know there is a helicopter. He'll do stuff like change clothes and walk past cops, and then the cops get told its him. Spotting a helicopter, especially in the city is very hard.
