  1. I think the content and opportunity of the server is very dry at the moment. Not much for people to do unless they plan on sinking 40 hours a week into being a cop which seems to be the only consistent and fun way to make money without dealing with being screwed over as a crim or grinding farm fields as a civ. I suggested change to the business system to create an as real as possible approach to the economy. Expanding types of business and adding manufacturing. Also where tf is the huge drug update! People should be able to create whatever business they want and the server should give them the tools to do so . Make everything able to be manufactured and sold. Allow these businesses to hire employees. Have a more robust government branch regulate these businesses. Allow for competition this will get people on and active. How its been for the past few years of the same stores and ways of money making is boring people offline. Allow people to make money they way they want rather than being a cop or miner. I invite you to look at
  2. I make this massive suggestion as someone who has over 2k+ hours on Eclipse alone but has taken a long break from it. I've seen what some servers are capable of and I am 100% sure with patience and good feedback my suggestion can be capable of giving Eclipses that edge over its competition. I am also fully aware of the vast amount of time it would take for my suggestion to be implemented and the brainstorming it will require. PLAYER RUN ECONOMY / Realistic Mixed Market Economy Create a system where all items are to be made from materials that players must gather. Otherwise known as a fully player run economy. This is a complete overhaul of most of the server as it is but would be extremely beneficial to civilian rp. This idea is popular in many MMO games and influences players to think like entrepreneurs to achieve riches. It allows for everyone to have a stake in the economy and lets those who have the right game plan build an economic empire. This starts with all places of commerce that can be leased out to or bought by players to run (Some already are like gas stations and corner stores). All goods in these stores must be created at another location. For example, a corner store sells beverages and snacks. Dedicate factories (They are all over the map) that manufacture these products that players can own and hire employees to manufacture these items. Want alcohol? Create a brewery and allow the government to distribute brewing licenses to give to owners of said brewery's. They can brew all sorts of beverages and sell them to the stores. Want guns? Create armament factories that are regulated by the government that work off of materials gathered from a mine. These items once created can be shipped to the store locations similar to how the trucker job works except this adds the extra step for civ rp. This can also allow for logistic organizations to come about and hire truckers to work for them to streamline deliveries or even organize miners. This same idea can be incorporated into literally all aspects of commerce to add that player run economy system. Some could argue that no one will do the job, I would say otherwise as it can be a great economic opportunity for the money minded individual and would give someone a reason to work. If people play their cards right they can advance as a miner and maybe open their own mining company and hire people to work for them. This opens up the idea of player run unions and politics. Also, it allows for further trade and competition to bring prices down. The government would have the right to abolish monopolies of course. Make a mixed market economy on the server with government oversight (Helps create more stuff to do for the government like inspectors, finance departments, public works, etc.) This idea is already incorporated in other servers and adds to realism. However, I do understand the time it would take to price these ideas out in order to gauge profits over retail prices while keeping prices for players reasonable. I would just think that players would want to have some sort of real life experience and opportunity in the server as much as is physically possible for a roleplay server. The reason why I feel it should be put on Eclipses is that I still have a special connection to this server as it was my first introduction into GTA V RP. If you agree with this idea or not and have further suggestions regarding it please leave them below. I am open to all criticism. OPENBUSINESS COMMAND Create a /openbusiness command that allows places such as Night Clubs, Bars, Any business which does not have a business script set up, or any creative shop selling low value items such as ice cream shops, restaurants etc. I'm imaging this command to create a painted area where a store menu can pop up and the owner can put items in the menu for those to roleplay and buy. This would make it easier and more viable for nightlife to actually be worth the money you put in. With this new system it will need advertisements to recruit. I suggest making a menu or simply using weazel news to put up targeted ads. Also, these business owners could benefit from an automated system similar to the faction payment system for government jobs to pay their employees. I could see this only being allowed for prominent businesses such as manufacturing plants or brewery's that are regulated by the government. EXTRA Allow general stores to be able to be worked at by players similar to burgershot. Players should be dealt a commission and regular pay. Create a passive tutorial for new players that takes them around the map and gives them tips and tricks to ease the learning curve. This can help those encounters with a new player who is absolutely clueless about what to do or how to get around the city. I think to help civ and crim rp, I think more gambling options should be put on the server such as blackjack, craps, and other casino games. Also, I think a game of shooting dice would benefit street gang rp. This idea can also allow for player-run casinos that can obtain a casino license from the government.

Sheriff cruiser are rear wheel drive an feel like your skating on ice off-road. And only the highest of command (AKA the Sheriff) can use their personal vehicles.
  6. Ehh, sport bikes don't have the tires or traction to handle off-road. That's why there are dirt-bikes made for "dirt" because of the tires and suspension. The video posted above this is a prime example of how unrealistic it is for bikes to drive off-road and be able to handle with ease. It would be like driving on ice at the speeds players are driving at in-game. Its the most OP and unrealistic thing, making a quick turn in an off-road environment would cause any regular motorcycle to slide and tip over. That's why there were dirt bikes created and sport bikes created. One of road and one for off-road. Riding dirt-bikes on streets can be very dangerous because of the treading on the tires not having enough contact to grip the roads (Not saying this a problem or anything on the server lol just using this and a example).
  7. I agree, our cruisers are lacking in handling and stability. Without these we stand little chance against any bike. I would think it would be non-rp to drive crazy off-road with a bike that isn't the bf400 or another dirt bike. IRL I don't think bikes with street tires can handle well off-road, they would spin out on the dirt and rough terrain but in GTA they can handle with ease off-road. I honestly would just want our cruisers to be able to handle off-road cause right now they cant at all.
  8. I think SD should be given off-road vehicles to use. If a criminal is driving a BF400 or any bike it is basically impossible to catch them unless they crash and we had Vc of them crashing. Sheriff cruisers can barely drive up a mountain and most of the time will just end up sliding down the hills. Its gotten to the point that SD and PD wont even chase bikes because there is a 99% chance of loosing them because they will just go off-road, mostly SD has to deal with this because of the terrain in their jurisdiction Multiple times I've seen crims on bikes baiting cops to get into pursuits only to then just sit on top of hills and honk their horns at SD cause they know they cant chase them. I would suggest changing to AWD cruisers or getting off-road tires for cruisers. If a cruisers even goes off road and taps a bush or has to turn its very likely you will just spin out. I know irl police in the country have access to 4-wheelers/ATV's or dirt bikes that can be used in rough terrain areas. I feel that would help SD be able to even have the chance of being able to pursue a bike or off-road vehicle. I know SD has access to specialty vehicles but they aren't worth the time to take out because the crim will be gone by the time they can spawn it. Lastly, I think its very unrealistic that police cant do anything when it comes to a bike. This would not make SD overpowered it would merely give us the chance to be able to even pursue the person. Most crims will drive around bikes nowadays cause they themselves know they wont get caught.
  9. I understand but the issue the player faced was that the law only mentions external issues like broken headlights or turn signals. I was just using this as a example of the rights of the player being violated. The issue is that it doesn't state anywhere what rights civilians have. I just though that adding the bill of rights to the server would clarify this or even changing the law to include a scrapyard vehicle as unroadworthy. Its not that the car has physical complications but merely it not being registered. Moreover, I would just want to have a place that civilians could see their rights and examples of violations of those rights. Hence, the bill of rights. I know this would be better argued ICly but there is no means of doing so. An IA report wont change the law or add to it. I think a server side addition to the IC dimension would fix it as its something I believe should already of been in place if you get what I mean.
  10. I've noticed that Police have the ability that even if they conduct a illegal search whatever is found on the person still gets charged against them. There was a case where a player was pulled over for driving a scrapyard vehicle but was then told they were under arrest for a crime that wasn't stated in the penal code. The player was given the charge of unroadworthy vehicle and then searched only to find a few drugs on their person. The unroadworthy charge doesn't state anything about driving a scrapyard vehicle. Which in term means the search was illegal due to the fact there was no lawful stated reason for the search of the person, but I'm not sure about searching the vehicle itself as no where in the penal code or readily available documentation does it state such things. If we were to incorporate a bill of rights it would stop these unlawful search and seizures. I only thought this because of the fact LS is a representation of Los Angeles in the US. I would only assume the bill of rights would be incorporated to players. According to the police rules the Maranda rights must be read before a arrest. This means that if the criminal was to confess or show the officers something before their rights are read it could be fought in a court system and get the charges dropped for the fact they didn't know their right to remain silent and anything they say or do could be used against them. I feel this would be related to searches as well due to the 4th amendment. Traffic citations in the real world do not allow the officer to conduct a search of the person unless probable cause of a criminal offense is committed. This could all be fixed by changing the penal code to incorporate a specific law for scrapyard vehicles or editing the description of unroadworthy vehicle. Let me know what you guys/girls think about adding a bill of rights to the server. I just feel you cant just have the Maranda rights and none of the other ones. I think this would add more rp opportunity's and give civilians the knowledge of the rights they have as a citizen of LS. The bill of rights could be modified to fit the server and placed in the penal code or as separate document. I wasn't sure where else to post this as I couldn't find anything on the gov forums to state this in. Link to the United States Bill of Rights - https://billofrightsinstitute.org/founding-documents/bill-of-rights/ Of course we cant let people open-carry ak's so we can change it to fit the servers needs as I mentioned before unless we could incorporate a legal way of purchasing larger firearms for sport or home defense purposes which could be a goof idea if developed correctly with a gun license that is very difficult to obtain or maybe even is an OOC corruption offense to sell once purchased.
  11. +1 Cant the devs just adjust the stats of the cars?
  12. Im fine with the snow as long as its not foggy af like it was a day ago in-game where you cant see infront of you.
  13. I like also that its a /manual command to switch on and off so players aren't forced to use it
  14. These are just some scripts I found that I think could be nice to have on the server. Lmk what you guys think. Pushing Vehicles File - https://rage.mp/files/file/252-perfect-for-rp-servers/ Example Video - https://streamable.com/ab2v5 This would allow for player to push their vehicles if stuck somewhere and can be configured to only allow during specific states of the vehicle. Also, it works rply as it has its own animation. Manual Transmission File - https://rage.mp/files/file/114-manual-transmission/ This would be amazing and could be used for drag races to add more of a skill requirement to racing cause if two people have the same cars the winner I whoever has the best connection to the server tbh. Client-Side Door Control File - https://rage.mp/files/file/137-js-client-side-door-control-system/ This would allow for more buildings to be opened and locked. Firing Mode Changer File - https://rage.mp/files/file/55-firing-modes/ I think this could be useful for Police and Crims to save ammo when shooting.
