  1. Coincidentally, I just recently added the Palomino mountain range as part of my patrol route! On a real note, no need for a discussion here so I will lock it to prevent toxicity - but if you ever notice a situation that feels a bit odd, or unnatural, please forward me evidence/description of the situation via Discord (MrSilky#0001) and I will review it. PD and SD leadership have been very vocal in pushing for development focussed on Criminal content, so we don't want to see the new features getting saturated with police constantly. Obviously, police will respond if they suspect/witness/get a report of something, but once that roleplay is concluded, it's over and although the location can still be ICly remembered as a "dangerous" one (so they don't solo hero cop the area) - the expectation is that they will ICly not know it's a drug lab again, until roleplay naturally leads to that confirmation.
  2. Just to add a reminder here that RP doesn’t cease when you are prisoned. You are prisoned per the actions you committed in your RP (usually negatively impacting other players) and now have roleplay opportunities within the DOC. The discussion can obviously continue, I just wanted to drop that reminder in as it seemed an entire faction was being disregarded who are dedicated to creating the RP in DOC.
  3. Can you go back to Valhalla pls?
  4. We can look at the length of suppressions as a sign of goodwill to the criminal community, but what needs to be understood is that law enforcement is reactive, meaning that if you do not wish to be the target of the gang unit so heavily, then you shouldn't make it your personality to murder officers. This, and the issues of NLR, will be discussed by senior staff in our next meeting. I will be locking this thread to prevent further toxicity - thank you to all sides for the constructive comments and thank you @Oli especially for raising this issue.
  5. Two questions just so we can steer this back on topic: What actions did you do that resulted in the harsh suppression? Are you aware of the IC process, review and approval of Suppressions by an impartial board? I’ve also seen the statement “it’s just a game” thrown around a lot in this thread, but then the original post speaks of how going to prison for an hour is RPly 60 months so doesn’t make RP sense to keep a file? What are we striving for here? Gameplay sense or realism?
  6. Whenever I get domed, it bypasses my armour and I’m rolling on the floor after 3-4 shots of a .50! The only logical conclusion here is that Coral is built different. Jokes aside, best thing I think to do will be to await the upcoming weapon changes, and feedback how that works and feels. The issue, in my opinion, isn’t the level of armour - it’s the consistency of damage.
  7. Hey! These changes were discussed with many people prior to implementation including current and past criminal faction leaders. The idea is to make labs still be valuable, but to work collaboratively to maintain a "mega lab". You will still be able to maintain a realistically sized lab solo, but I'm sure we can all agree solo maintaining 100 tables was a bit wild. Implementations are subject to change following review and feedback - Just try it out and work together, see how you go. You might enjoy the interactions a bit more Silky
  8. I think this is a good idea! @AnakinB- What do you reckon?
  9. This would be a nice feature, and allow more immersion for all styles of RP.
  10. I’ll just jump in here and say we do hear you and we do listen. I appreciate not knowing is the worst thing, but I can assure you lots of change is on the horizon. A key example is that we currently have a chat dedicated to criminal roleplay changes. This chat consists of criminal faction leaders and historically notable criminal role players with a direct point of contact with the dev team. Here discussions have been ongoing to make the criminal role more rewarding, fun and interactive. Last night we had a long management meeting discussing most points made in that chat and have agreed to implement, develop and change a long list of points to achieve the above goal. I also must note that we recently had the highest intake of server applications since after the COVID lockdowns resulting in higher concurrent player counts - but don’t worry as we are not being complacent with that, we aim to capitalise on it by giving all players new and old a reason to stay. We hear you.
  11. Interpret what I said however you want to. I won’t be saying yes or no to individual circumstances. Faction Management can raise concerns with your faction leadership if they see the pings are excessive or promote pvp RP.
  12. @Harley - if faction services deem your pings to be excessive, they will direct you to adjust.
  13. You’ve gotta stop twisting my responses - that’s wild. See @alexalex303’s clarifications.
  14. As long as not excessively done and not used to summon numbers for “clapping” have at it. Don’t twist my response though to justify clapping pings though please! For example, here is the PD pager channel, averages at 1 ping a day, if that:
  15. Hey there! There is no advantage here whatsoever as we allow all players to ping others OOCly for “RP opps” and it is not restricted to just the Gov factions as you have mentioned. The gov factions simply roleplay it as a pager to make RP sense, other factions be that criminal or legal don’t even need to roleplay a pager! There is no issue with notifying friends/faction members OOCly about roleplay opportunities in game, as long as the OOC ping does not contain any IC information - which the Gov factions don’t as they simply say “You would receive a page” or something along those lines. Not only that, but these pagers are restricted to SED/SWAT meaning that less than 25% of the faction even gets them. Hope that clears up the confusion! MrSilky

Thank you. Please do not fuel slanderous topics with false information in future. I take my role in IA very seriously as I know that is the point-of-contact for players to question the legitimacy of PD's actions. This counts both OOC and IC and if I fuck up in my role in IA it can lead to many negative interactions and precedents. I have played on both the crim and the legal side (admittedly it has been a couple of years since I played criminal properly) but I have experienced both sides to a good extent and I believe you need to see both sides to understand. This topic is full of many assumptions made entirely to justify personal narrative or further slander the factions being discussed. If you have concerns IC or OOC with how PD carry themselves, my DMs are always open. I want everyone to be happy. I absolutely agree to DOC is needing some love and it absolutely will be getting some. I also agree to having the PD/SD factions have to fund more of their equipment to balance usage. I do see both sides, but fuelling slander against the factions with false information to justify your argument isn't the way to go. We see the issues, and we are working on it.

I am not being hostile in the slightest, I am just hoping to steer this discussion into a factual one - and when you state you have had multiple IA reports ignored when there are none on record, I want to clarify that. Do you have multiple accounts? I would like to review these reports you claim to have made to ensure they were dealt with in a fair manner - if they exist of course!

Hi there, I run the LSPD Internal Affairs and I have just searched all of your posts on the gov website and cannot find a single IA submission. I assume you have multiple gov accounts? Look forward to your response.
  19. Hey there, thanks for the suggestion. Paying to win is never and will never be the direction of this community therefore this will not be implemented. Appreciate the suggestion nonetheless.
  20. I am personally in charge of the Internal Affairs division and find this quite slanderous and hurtful. I urge you to provide any proof of this bias because I can hand on heart say that there is none. My team work extremely hard upholding standards in character and faction integrity out of character. I strongly suggest you review the statistics of IA and also the notice board for officer punishments to collect actual evidence before making such outlandish comments based on assumptions.
