I think this is a good idea, and I would say if you start it out and get it rolling you could easily develop it into an official faction and eventually earn government funding via an ic contract with the government! Would like to see someone take this and run with it!

there is plenty of opportunity to make this a business where you interact with each other. Obviously as in RL there would be free lance truckers, but there is already a group RPing as a truckers union. Perhaps find them IC and see what you can find out!

1. Interesting concept. 2. Night clubs do hire body guards, this is not a scripted job but one that is player generated and already exists. 3. When the casinos were open this was a job that occured but the owners haven't opened it back up in a while. 4. This idea was batted around by PD a while ago, and was decided it wouldn't be a good idea as it would be considered vigilantism and people would abuse it and would just cause more issues for PD to deal with. 5. Dont like this idea, you'd have players stealing planes, landing and crashing them all over the city.

I can confirm the Itali GTO is in the server. IT was auctioned off for 14million about 10months ago. I see it everyday! No its not mine, but i know whos it is. This was auctioned off as a one time car, so i dont suspect it will get added. They also did at the time 10 other vehicles including a submarine!

Mike i use to run the original Irish back in the days of Irish, and Exiled running the city, that criminal has plenty of play time, and isn't as active as i use to be on him as the criminal life well, I got tired of being robbed for going into a general store and my radio, phone battery and food gets stolen, kinda ruined it. Whilst I can not speak to the day to day life of criminals, but a criminal that is self conscious and doesn't want to go to jail for a life sentence. (which murder should be) Isn't about to walk into a clothing store to rob someone of a burger, radio and a water... just doesn't make sense, even as a criminal. Back when I was a gang member we avoided actions around where we would be seen doing them, made sure no one was around, made plans not just on a whim, that being said the server was less populated and silly crimes didn't happen like they do now. PD duty was quite most evenings where you'd have 20mins of no calls... now days, if there is 10calls pending to get answers then its a slow day. If folks were to act according to witnesses and such then I don't think this would be an issue to put it back in place, that being said there are to many players that don't care, and will just rob anyone, anywhere. I guess you would need to offer some form of policing for abuse of the robbery rule in said conflicts, you cant say that it makes sense for you to attempt to rob someone over a burger or a t-shirt in a clothing store, or a general store that has video surveillance. Currently with the CCTV system we need to actively be watching it to catch a crime, and a witness needs to be able to provide an id so we can /ldo for the investigation.

I appreciate your concern about our pd members and groups. The state of San Andreas is not a small populated area and is made to mimic Los Angelas (how ever you spell it) as such based on the LAPD, vs LSPD, we are understaffed compared to the population of what would rply be in this city, and based on crime rates. If one was to use serious crime rate vs PD members and than translate that ratio to our server... you would find that we need what would equate to 5 officers on duty per civilian to match the LAPD crime-officer ratio. The 7 pd's your taking to... There are 2 departments, each with multiple branches, these are not separate entities and are governed and monitored by the members of City Hall. I am a strong support of the robbing rule, it was ridiculous getting a 911 call "i've been robbed at LSC" we get there and there are 30people there saying they witnessed it... Sorry but a smart criminal isn't gonna rob someone in a busy place, either in game or in real life... there is a reason my criminal has only been arrested 3 times in 3 years.... and has committed more crimes then i can recall. This rule has opened up so many avenues for civilians and criminals alike to interact and rather then just shoot, talk. Eclipse is not intended as a PVP server... you want that go to GTA online! Folks that join Eclipse with the intention of staying are here to Roleplay... not just shoot. I would take a good RP situation over a shoot out any-day. Truly enjoy a nice long conversation with some RP thrown in and a story... especially when compared to the old robbery system of "Hands up this is ROBBB, you have 3 seconds.... 1....2....3" BANG BANG... press I (now search) take stuff... run.

@NeverMind i would never get to rp, then, as 9 out of 10 situations I could call admins for excessive /b or fear rp or non rp... im here to RP not to make form reports or sit in ooc situtations for hours. ( and believe me ive had some that last 2-3hours, taking up 20 players, standing there whilst someone doesn't understand what they did wrong.) Yes i can report folks, but as I said, im not here to dicker in form reports, I am here to RP. "Nevermind" officers 99% of the time wont take their eyes off a person, as if you have your hands up your getting cuffed, meaning he is rping with you and focusing on you, and if I turn 180 from you, and im talking to someone, they are looking at me and will see you behind me moving. Perhaps if people RP'd a bit more instead of the "get it over with" mentality this would be different. I apologize I have strayed from the initial topic. @krooks365 never thought of that, perhaps there needs to be a timer set then, from time of downed to when you can utilize your phone, would be like 2mins, then radio 8mins or something... not sure.

I would disagree Pheonix, what kind of creative rp would allow you to use your radio whilst cuffed or in the hands up position? As is stated in the rules or at least it was in the last iteration, that if your downed your dying and need to RP as such, being shot repeatedly you would be in pain if your lucky enough to be conscious. My issue is that players do not understand that cops have the ability to put players under fear rp, they choose to ignore both tazers, pistols and heavy weapons. I know that this is turning into a rant but what happens is we will have guns drawn and people will talk on their radio and all we can do is /me grabs the mans arm and radio... guy keeps talking.... Anyways, I think this radio thing needs modification and updateing.

I'd really like to see it so when your cuffed/ziptied you cant use your radio and when your hands are up... that would be good change, as it happens more often then it should a person will be under gun point and we will hear them . "I'm near X location, send help im being robbed" in that instance generally you shoot em, but when its ""I'm near X location, send help im being arrested". Well cops cant shoot you, because instantly we get reported both ic and ooc.... so limit radio use while hands up, doing any animation, (under fear rp, which is impossible to limit scriptly), that as it is straight up powergaming to use a radio in your ear, if your cuffed, and secondly your under fear rp... so yea..

If someone sees someone using a panic alarm when they are down'd please take a picture and pass it along to a Command member from the players respective faction, and or make a report on the forums as this is a server rule, obviously it is a hard habit to break, but that being said if they hit it by mistake they can delete it and void it via /f chat. so just remind them first, as we all try and help each other make the adaptions to rules.

The lspd process has been in operation for 3 years with multiple changes during that time, should you wish to help with it I'd suggest you join the department, work with the recuritment team and then talk to its leaders about what you want to do. Alot of us have put hundreds of hours into this faction and of course are open to change.

Still stands as an IC question and is a constant changing item, best pursue it ICLY if you want to know... otherwise i guess you won't find out.

okay, I can see why you'd feel that way, but get a trucker faction going and then the server staff might make it a faction meaning to handle jobs you need to be apart of it I would personally love to see it become a thing, before the new update came out, I had put together a huge list of things I wanted to see for the trucker job and 90% got implemented the other 10 require IC work, and unfortunately I don't have the time to put into it currently.
