  1. @jason just to be a pest... those ooc currency is buying IC vehicles though all good either way! I am impartial as someone who has donated in the past and used credits to gain house slots and/or character slots... never considered buying a car though!

    this is not fair

MY apologizes, your original message stated you ran into the locker room, perhaps its a language barrier going on here. Officers are suppose to remain IC as much as possible, we dont go OOC when someone doesn't comply with us, as we are not suppose to based on server rules. Cant help you with the ADMIN thats between you and them. As for wearing a mask, the LSPD did not make that decision, we do not write the laws, we just enforce them.

    this is not fair

I am sorry you had a bad experience. Reading what you wrote allow you to explain what I would of done. 1. you stated you ran into the locker room, - This is an employee only area, and going through into there would be considered Trespassing. (Do it RL see what happens) This alone would of been enough to put you in jail, search your car, and your person. 2. someone mentioned you were parked in emergency parking - While yes the server was laggy around the voip, and rarely players would pop up or teleport around... the fact that you parked there in the first place is consider illegal parking, which can have your car towed and impounded, and ticketed. The fact that multiple officers requested you to remove it, then becomes failure to comply with a lawful order. 3. an admin choose not to void the rp meaning that it had to continue, and players do not have the authority to void rp. 4. strongly suggest you go through the internal affairs bureau, as this is an IC/OOC matter that they will resolve for you either direction it takes, and is the only way short of an admin voiding the entire RP. @Captain TofuI am so happy to see that you enjoy slandering the LSPD for attempting to keep some sort of order to the city. Allow me to rebut some of your comments. "This is not fair indeed, and it's the way criminals get treated on the daily." Criminals get treated like this due to their own accords, if you are respectful and don't escalate every situation to shooting, or evading, and non-rp driving you will be treated better... If every-time a cop pulls you over for speeding you and your pals shoot them, then you can expect to be treated poorly. We RP based on past experience and criminal records, as they are all IC and you build relationships with players. "As for your situation, they escalated the shit out of it just to find a reason to search your vehicle (which shouldn't have happened)." If this was server side issues, I can see this being true, but that being said you broke 3 Misdemeanor laws, and then appeared to be resisting arrest by running away.... Thus by the force continuum which is IC, the appropriate amount of force was utilized, and done by the book. "Why they do it? Just because they can and there's no one to stop them." We signed up to roleplay as law enforcement, we are held to a high standard by internal regulations, and by server staff, we are not doing this because we can, we are doing this because its our IC jobs, and she broke multiple laws. "Wearing a mask in winter? Hey that's illegal, let me search your entire car and stack the most charges I can on your ass." I am glad that you choose to pick only 1 of the 3 reasons officers had to search her. A mask on its own is not enough to search a car, but trespassing, and failure to comply certainly is, running into the employee's only area is clearly trespassing. "Never made any crime? Hell, you're still a criminal, you had a mask, 1 marijuana and leftover meat that has no purpose on the server anymore." Not exactly sure what this is, but marijuana whilst armed is illegal, "Possession of Narcotics Whilst armed" and human meat is also illegal "Desecrating remains" You go around with a joint, a gun and a human hand in your pocket and see what cops do to you RL. "This could have a been handled way simpler by the LSPD but you had to cross ways with a particular officer that enjoys getting people in jail for the littlest cause." This is not the case at all she was charged appropriately for her actions, this is an RP server, where actions have consequences, it is important to remember that each time you log in to play. I cant see the charges that were placed as I have no idea who this player is ic, but based on the time, it would seem appropriate for the crimes she self admits to here. As mentioned Tofu, your actions directly impact how officers will treat you, you treat them with respect, and provide good rp and you will likely get a few charges "forgotten" to be applied. Officers are required to charge people to the extent of the law, as frankly we are lenient with the charges. And players with extensive records wouldn't be out of jail in RL. "This is sadly one of the reason why I lost motivation to play the server." Based on your above response to her original post, it would appear that you choose to be one of the "HARD" criminal types and the "F 12" types, thus your going to get no respect from a cop. Sorry you feel this way, but as I mentioned multiple times, your actions IC impact the actions of others... thats why we play, for the RP, dont choose a path unless you wish to see it to termination. @Machete The PD factions focus on IC development we do not look at the OOC requests of players often. If you wish to truly make a difference, make yourself an ALT, prove you can RP to our standards then join the faction and get to a position where you can directly impact the faction. Until then throwing salt is not the best way, you don't see PD coming into gang discussions and throwing shade around, please do not do it to ours, when clearly you don't understand the faction or the efforts it takes to even join it let alone make it to a mid level position.
  4. shouldn't be storing cars in an NCZ when you log off. Thats not what an NCZ is for.
  5. if they are a 10-15 they should be cuffed... but yes i understand... rather then dragging carry them inside!
  6. I can understand the merit for this, but that being said if you die, you shouldn't get your items back... thats part of dieing, and also your items 99% of the time are taken from your body and as such not in your "bodies possession" let alone throw NLR into the equation... you wouldn't remember you had X.Y,Z... let alone that it was insured.
  7. Exchanging RP for automation I can't agree with, there is generally DOC guards online. And whilst it is an inconvenience it is still RP, and guards aren't always going to be available same as cops and impound. Removing a player interaction in favor of a "bot" is something I can't ever agree with if there is an alternative, which there is in this case.
  8. @gmtavares Use the command /drag then /undrag and they will become unfrozen same as when your cuffing someone on their knees.
  9. well when I went in there was no one, a couple guys logged in were afk, but as soon as rp kicked off they joined in. When people realize that jail isn't a place to afk and start to rp thats when you will see it increase in activity. When the majority choose to afk thats when it becomes an afk place. Like DOC has said, less trying to jump the guards and more trying to rp with them will increase their ability to come in and rp with you!
  10. I was in prison this saturday, (on my crim) I had a Jtime of 85minutes, and the entire time I was in RP with other inmates or doc guards.... I dont recall any of the guards names as I icly called them nick names. "Bud", "Bert", "Doc", "Cutie" we all had a good time, and the guards were constantly in and out of the cell block to interact with me and other inmates. I think there was maybe 5minutes where I wasn't in RP. I was attacked inside and rather then fighting back I called for guards who came, saved me, isolated the attackers, I had been attacked with a crowbar so we did some medical rp, then I got labeled as a "snitch" so prisoners were constantly trying to catch me alone. It was actually a good time I truly enjoyed it and passed along the positive feed back to the guards and fellow prisoners that were present during my time. And all agreed they enjoyed it. This all started because I showed a willingness to RP rather then just AFK in my cell. I will and have thanked the DOC members, whilst some were interested in just chilling, it was clear when RP was presented for them to participate in they were 100% ready and wanting to be apart of it. Hats off to the DOC guys... its a shame people dont follow the RP rules in prison... DM... give me your stamps... give him my 5 stamps then punches me even after complying... or talking to someone in the cell block and then instantly getting beat and killed... folks need to start reporting this and admins policing DOC more would help.
  11. It isn't doc's responsibility to generate RP for you, you can make your own RP. Why not join DOC and be a guard on an alt and see what its like, its easy to make suggestions but hard for them to be implemented, join the faction on an alt... work there a while, earn a position and work to develop a plan! 100% the easiest and best way to get an idea for change to occur that requires no scripting.
  12. So I have found this to be related to CPU lag... least that's when I experience it most... its more recently predominate since the new clothing system was put in place. It effects not only inventory but all popup menus (clothing, houses, cars, MDC etc.) Its annoying but not game killer. Least for me. I have adjusted settings to reduce its frequency by adjusting the CPU heavy graphics settings.
  13. Well I can say I rp alone some... with /me and /do ... thats why I am comfortable rping my character as being in really good shape as I rp working out a few nights a week alone.(mind you its like 20mins not 4hours) I dont think a time reduction based on occupants/guards is a suitable suggestion, but perhaps activities to keep people busy I like the idea of keeping prison currency... perhaps with a bribe penalty for each time you come in... Example. Go to jail Make i dunno 100 stamps that you dont spend 10% bribe fee for guard to store stamps for you Get Released Go back to jail Get 90stamps back, repeat. I dont see it practical to be able to save up a mess of stamps inorder to eventually reduce your J-time to 0 as soon as you go in, as no prison would instantly release you...
  14. its plenty fast, and enough to throw you in jail for 3 years, get your license revoked, 5k in fines along with impound fees as well as triple your car and life insurance rates....
  15. That is because in RL a police car can hit 200+kph while the average civilian car is governed right around 164kph...max 200kph, and if your driving in excess of 160kph you better be super strict with the maintenance of your vehicle. I don't know your driving history, but I have in the past raced motorcycles and can tell you at 200+kph you best be 100% certain of what is ahead... and you aint gonna full send into a corner and pull an ebrake make it... let alone fly off a road at 200. I also have a car capable of 190kph but would never dream of driving it that fast, at those speeds you need to have completed a plethora of tests and inspections to even consider it... otherwise you will kill yourself. Thus your chances of witnessing a High speed interception unit or the justification for one is EXTREMELY low in RL... and considering if you take Germanies autobahn one of the fastest roads in the world, you will find they have access to some incredible machines. Whilst you have said your not the driver of the car, but are actively engaged in the rp and must accept the actions of your driver and as such must understand that as said, we aint gonna drop a pursuit because your buddy decides to take you into a rally driving instead of pavement.... realisticly that car woulda hit the first sand pile and that woulda been it... so complaining that we can use a super to follow you when you drive off road is not really a valid argument... and your previous statements around "20 cop cars, 2 811, 2 t20 and heli" seems to be purely for the intent of insulting another faction. If you have proof of this I would truly appreciate seeing it so I can speak to the people involved to find out why so much was used... especially considering to my knowledge SD does not have access to the T20 which means both would be PD, and I haven't seen 2 used in a single pursuit in a very VERY long time.
  16. But in rebutal to this, how many times have there been pursuits in Dubai that require a car of this calibur? Yes Pursuing a vehicle with 4 people is a small pursuit and is completely acceptable, if you wish to compare this statement to what we see as cops happening daily, I will provide you an example. 1 gang car from one of the opposing gang is being chased by 10 hakucho drags, 2 kamacho's and a plethora of random sports cars. We keep the helicopter in the air as much as the pilot wishes to fly and that helicopter can patrol, act as back up for traffic stops or actively search areas to flag cars. We are contrary to what some may feel in a city with a crime rate that is EXPONENTIALLY larger then any other city in the world, and as such with a felony evasion rate of 83% of all traffic stops and interactions we respond with additional units to prevent this, as would a real police department. Also when taking into factor a persons previous interactions with the law we escalate to a level appropriately, some folks are chronic evaders and as such warrant additional support to talk to. -I run on 120+ frames all the time, my cruiser when using the bumps on the highway maxes out at 226 and that is intermittent and non maintainable, so perhaps i need to turn my graphics to potato mod but I am not in this to win everything thus I will not, and accept losing people often. Example, last night we lost a rhapsody because he was smart, a pink shafter pulled a smart move, unfortunately got his friend caught but the car got away for a short while until he drove past units again. -X-ray I would truly love to see a video as evidence for these allegations that it can maintain 260kph full time, I consider myself a good pilot and know the best ones in the department and they do not agree with your statement. (video must be on eclipse rp in the polmav) -Cops do not have unlimited ammo, body armor or heavy weapons, we are limited to very few bullets when we take out a gun, our armor for anyone save SWAT is equal to that which you can buy. While yes we do not have to purchase our own weapons and armor, this is due to us being employed by the state and not acting as independent entities like other factions. Remember you choose your career path and we choose ours. -Super cars can be deployed for a set list of vehicles, and of course those cars are the fast ones. So if you drive one of these of course we are going to deploy them, as we are law enforcement our job is to catch you, utilizing the tools are our disposal. I am not going to chase a comet retro in a warner, same as you wouldn't. Not exactly sure what your expecting here, you are clearly insulting someone's mental state and that is poor behavior and shouldn't occur on the forums at all. Again we are PD not SD, and can not speak on their behalf, your issue appears to be with the 811 being used to chase a sports car off road, you are asking again for a double standard of RP between gov' and criminal. The reason the supers were given to us was to combat the massive amounts of supers and unchecked sports cars. (before the speed cap). As the previous responder said we have a pile of other ways to entertain ourselves, we have internal RP, Rp with businesses. I would take a traffic stop or a casual conversation over chasing you across the country side. It is a shame to think that criminal players believe they are generating "fun" for us, when truly most of us would rather RP internally or with small groups of players rather get into shot outs and gang situations. Sorry but criminals whilst are an important aspect to the server, we can keep ourselves entertained pretty well without escalated situations... I wish everyone a good day, and perhaps an opportunity to view it from the opposing sides viewpoint. While I admit I do not frequent my criminal character and he is not a member of large scale gangs but I do use him, I do get into trouble with police, but have plans in place to get away if needed. I haven't to this date been caught in over a year, mind you only have about 40hours on him this year so not much. But still an accomplishment.
  17. but i also dont see criminals driving porsches or stretched motorcycles off road either... soooooooooo as for masks at the bank... pre covid, you do that and see what happens.
  18. Alberto as I have mentioned multiple times. PD AND SD HAVE DIFFERENT POLICIES the use of a super is in response to increasingly fast cars on the server. You show me a city in the usa where a cop car is always slower then the ones its chasing. I can tell you from talling to police on my area their cars far exceed 90+% capability of those of a civilian car. In cities that have excessive hyper cars cops have them in response. Have a look at Dubai's police force. You are asking police on the server to maintain a higher level of rp then that of other players. Which we already do with our hundreds of policies ic and ooc, yet offer no solution other then make it non rp for a cop to chase me off road. I am sorry you feel that cops have an advantage over you but in rl tell me they dont and then we can compare.
  19. Firstly that is SD, that is not PD. Secondly you want us to not drive our sports cars/super cars off road yet you feel it is acceptable to drive your sports car off road, seems like a double standard. The 811 did not ram you, it was struck and collided with you. Still would love to see the one with the 4 supers though and the 20 officers and helicopter. Based on server rules when it comes to driving off road, if the server scripting permits it then it is acceptable by rp standards set forward by server staff. (as of my last reading surrounding that rule). In that incident if you wished to have people rp to the highest level, and had it been me on my criminal, when that kamacho collided with me like that I would of RP'd Injuried as I have many times in far more minor collision but this isn't' about my or your rp level. PD and SD are managed by different groups, I am a Senior member in PD and have witnessed a pursuit of cars that RL would stand no chance off road on their own let alone in a pursuit going 200 off the side of a highway straight up a mountain. In these instances PD supers wouldn't follow you if there is a helicopter and/or other units in the proximity that can. I cant speak on SD's behalf nor would I as I have zero involvement with their faction. Nor am I in a place to provide guidance to said faction, and based on the report you linked server staff has deemed it as acceptable use.
  20. @AlbertoPanchinoIf you can provide some footage of a 811 chasing you off road whilst you were not in a supercar/sports car then I would appreciate that being sent to me so I can approach the person. Without evidence I cant act on this. As for losing 20 police cruises 2 811 and 2 t20 and a chopper. I would like to see evidence of this as PD we have a policy, only 1 HSIU (Super) is permitted to be deployed at once... I cant speak for SD though. Please provide evidence to back your claim or stop slandering a faction as we can all slander without evidence.
  21. I'm not sure about which 811s your talking about but when it comes to PD 811s ours do not reach that kind of speeds, I have driven the faction ones extensively. and max i have ever seen is 220 (if im lucky) that being said if someone knows the bumps and all that perhaps can push it past... As for a heli, they max at 220 unless your in a decent which I've managed 240... but it is in short bursts... that beings said, you get on a highway in the comet, and there's nothing gonna catch you. I think your mixing up PD and SD on the drags and the personal 811, as to my knowledge (and i have good tabs on all the supers) there is no PD HC (only people that can deploy personal cars for pursuits) that have an 811 sitting in the garage. Drags are not a vehicle that PD has access to, we have the standard hakachu, and only HC can permit a drag being used and to my knowledge that has occurred in sometime. But we are working on a counter measure to the drag situation as they are very difficult to catch. As for the barricades, these are placed rather then cruisers as you all know sometimes there is desync at crazy speeds meaning things don't load in, thus because of fear rp and dm rules it was decided that a destructible barrier out both permit the player to drive through it if they are smart about it, and also prevent putting officers at risk of getting creamed at 200+kph. That being said non destructible ones will still be used on static scenes to prevent people from flying through the scene and killing everyone and potentially being reported for mass dm. (to protect players in the scene and the player that may experience desync) PD opening fire is only for pursuits that have caused injury to a civilian, cop or has posed a TRUE threat to the public. (extend pursuit times with collisions, or risk to the public (driving on sidewalks, wrong side of the road) you will also notice that 95% of the time the shots only occur on the highways, where there is less civilian player traffic, and no residential properties. (obviously there are excruciating circumstances that can provide deviation from this.)
  22. Okay, so we utilize equipment in response to a criminals actions. You shoot we shoot back with a bigger gun.. You run away we chase you with a faster car, if we don't have a faster car we call in the heli. You out run the heli, we use the radio and get everyone looking for you. That 15mil 811 that chased you up a mountain, I would love to see the evidence of it, and see what you were driving. As currently if you wish to weigh the RP sense of driving an 811 up the mountain please go take a stretched hyabusa and drive up a mountain and see how you do... bet you don't make it 20feet onto the grass at 50kph let alone 200+. We respond to your level rp, if you focus on the roads we wont go off road to catch you, you go off road we will follow. We still don't have a car that can keep up with the comet retro when its being driven at 300+ kph which happens daily... or the Drag in the city. Even the heli cant keep up with the retro. 90% of cops play on high or ultra settings for better quality over performance unlike some of the counter parts. As pertaining to the gang HQ... if cops knew/know of a gang hq in RL... they gonna swat raid that and throw everyone in jail for decades... not 20mins to just let them go back there. Surrounding losing stuff... while yes we do not lose our equipment when you kill us, as mentioned we respond to all calls based on severity level... whilst I can't speak for all the members of the faction but personally I know myself and a large portion of the faction (PD) are here for the RP, not for cops and robbers. I would take a traffic stop on a good RP'r over a shoot out every day... hell a poor RP'r traffic stop is better then a shoot out... at least there is something other then "broken legs"... (legit had someone RP a broken leg after getting shot in the back with a shotgun on a scene the other day.) Whilst you may feel PD needs nerfed, and criminals need buffed... Criminals have it easier then they ever have, almost zero risk to getting caught on weapons imports, or manufacturing of drugs. (assuming you use some common sense) getting away from cops is not difficult if you know how and plan it out. My criminal evades in a exemplar, and I have out run the 811, the t20, and the Zentorno. It is all about knowing a route, and getting away... I have literally witnessed people evade and successfully in warners. So telling me its "impossible" to lose cops... Sorry... (at that was with multiple officers and a helicopter.)
  23. I am sure the guards would be happy to rp, if folks RP'd it appropriately and didn't' just instantly grab hold of them for a prison break.
  24. Perhaps something that would be best to reach out to a member of city hall with IC'ly as they would be hired by the City Authority.
  25. I think this is a good idea, but should be something that if a court comes into play that a prisoner would have to try and obtain and would be a case by case thing.
