It involves making a website outside of the game - which concludes of in-character social media. Below I'd like to state some of the features this site could include. -Tweets (with trending hashtags) -Simple imagery uploading from within the game, allowing for people to better admire GTA's scenery and share it with others -Market for players to list items they are selling (vehicles, housing, etc.) -Ability to add friends and (maybe) allow DM's -Post events, whether it be last minute ones, or well-planned ones. -Create groups (kind of like the forum has already, except lift the limit and have the default page sort by members) -Business Page, one for government (or official businesses) and another for player-run businesses. -Application system for businesses, players can state achievements, past work, education, etc. on their page and submit applications through the social media. -Profile to display place of work, friends, posts, gallery, and albums. This is just some of the ideas I've come up with, and if you guys have anymore, PLEASE post them down below, also if you think any of the ideas I posted above might not be that great to implement, feel free to share criticism. DiCarlo Posted April 22, 2019 Report Share Posted April 22, 2019 Although this is a good idea, the level of devlopment it needs might be a bit beyond what the dev team is capable of doing atm. Especially when there are other things that they are working on that are a lot better. In saying that though I do think it would be pretty cool to have like an instagram type app where you can share photos and shit. All except maybe have a twitter app cause then it kinda defeats the purpose of the weazel news messages. Twitter with @mentions and #hashtags would be interesting and could lead to some enjoyable interactions, plus in the current age of social media it just makes sense. Simple image sharing is possible through third-party applications, doesn't seem majorly useful to have an app for specifically for them. DM's seems unnecessary since there is text messaging. Events can be posted on twitter. Business pages and applications are just more easily handled through the forums. Profile I assume could be Facebook/LifeInvader, could have it as an opt-in feature rather than everyone having a profile. Wouldn't be too bad. Could add some interesting rp on many coasts. I've gone through their website 'FaceBrowser' that you have mentioned. It's based off on a template/pre-made script which you can get it for $100. We can make some modifications to it to match our community and its rules. That pre-made script uses basic html/css/js/php so its easier to modify. As a web developer myself, I can volunteer if no one in the development team wants to do that. Social media website for our community in my opinion brings a lot of opportunities to the players and increases their daily interactions with other members of our community much more.
