make drive-bying less easy

Recommended Posts

Currently you can driveby in 3rd person, with a 360 view with 0 recoil with automatic guns. This is extremely unfun to deal with no matter if you're the one doing it, or the one on the receiving end, essentially because there it is too easy. I'm suprised it's taken this long to fully catch on by the majority of the server, but now it's at a point where every crim has a driveby at all times, and most fights are extremely boring.

Everyone should need to be in 1st person to driveby, also add some recoil while you're at it, make it rewarding at least.

We need to change alot of shit up tbh but let's start here.

Recoil script in vehicles is the solution, make autos have significantly more recoil then pistols when drive bying. The only practical use should be point blank drive-by, if your far away you should be firing single shots etc. Adding the recoil will prevent getting beamed out the car by a AP pistol from 50 feet away.

the problem is the passengers and the fact there is no recoil with autos

This is a roleplay server, if you want perfect pvp balance you should play Valorant. If you switched your focus from winning fights to having fun in fights you might not have such thoughts

huh? i made the suggestion for that exact reason, the fights aren't fun, that's the issue.

Diabolical view. It's a roleplay server and people fight on it, since its semi optimized for that; this means that we should make those fights fair. Everyone enjoys fighting, even people who roleplay. He's clearly made a suggestion that is about making fights better. I personally think you should only be able to drive by in first person even as a passenger. Get people out of pay to win meta asf cars 24/7.

Exactly, it's a roleplay server. Are you gonna be able to shoot out your police car IRL with a 360 view of everyone and hold the gun that steady you hit every shot? Drivebying in third person as a passenger WITH recoil would make it so fun to learn in fights, it would also stop it being abused not just by criminals but by LEOs too with their tac smgs which are also abused due to the no recoil. I'd love to see a cop beam me out my car with added recoil and limited views from the passenger seat.

W suggestion Kon.

"would make it so fun to learn in fights,"

learning recoil patterns has no place on a roleplay server, that is quite literally a csgo/valorant mechanic

PvP is healthy for roleplay as long as it’s not the main focus. Conflict RP can progress gang beef.

This would be beneficial for everybody for RP purposes. PD would get wiped less because taking tires would require actual skill, and criminals wouldn’t get beamed by a zero recoil AP pistol from 200 meters away. Also it would be beneficial because you couldn’t just spray someone down in a helicopter with a rifle that has zero recoil.

Passengers should also be required to be in first person to shoot. Zero recoil is something im not sure how that could be handled but forced first person is a good start.

+1000000 if u cant change the recoil or make it so its first person, remove automatic weapons from being able to be shot from vehicles. pistols are fine

first person shooting in vehicles is the only way, recoil or removing automatic weapon fire from vehicles completely doesn’t seem ideal at all.
