add private drug tables back

I know this isn’t gonna get good feed back, but I feel private lab tables should be re added in some form. Make them so it possibly takes 2x as long to cook things, and only be able to be placed outside of houses or maybe RVs. We can have private chop stations but I can’t be walter white again in my RV. I feel it could give more RP scenes to LEOs because they responding to a meth lab blowing up. Or maybe even add smoke or something that can give away your location similar to how you can hear chopping sounds. Idk but i feel the whole system is still there but just got rid of a part of the crim world. If you adjust it properly and make it longer to cook, i don’t see how it could hurt anything

-1 Private labs are awful for the server in so many ways.
A) Inflation. For very minimal risks long-standing crims of the server made millions upon millions of dollars with relative ease. You could say you're always at the risk of blowing up but well-knowledged crims knew how to avoid this and did so.
B) Roleplay/engagement on a roleplay server. We should never encourage someone to sit alone in an interior to make money, in doing so is the antithesis of a multiplayer environment that thrives off joint storytelling.
C) De-valuing drugs/influence. This simply offers a way to gain influence with little to no risk involved.

I don't feel private tables are good for the server.

If more access to drug cooking is desired, I would rather see ways to be able to activate a currently down lab for a limited amount of time (such as paying x amount of cash or other means). This would allow for smaller groups to be able to use a lab that isn't currently known by other groups to be open and make use of some of the labs that are either never open, or not open often.

don't agree with private labs, but do agree with Requiem's suggestion.

I voiced something similar recently, place an NPC somewhere where you can pay x amount of money to open a lab of your choice, the more tables the lab has the more money it will cost, for an hour then it closes again. Just have the hp of the tables go down over time until they break, that way if people came across one that they didn't open, they'd know how long it has left.

I'd be cool with Requiems suggestion. Another would be up the limit of labs open by 1 or 2. We had 6 open for a bit which was nice. Also get more rotation going cause its the same labs even when one closes. We have all these labs and only a few of them are ever open. Also these new ones and ones that are old that haven't been opened since release. I dont know if theres an issue with the rotation but I thought it was supposed to be fixed but here we are with Island and Grabage open again for months straight.

Bring back the use of tables, let them be used anywhere outside.

People will have to find different places on the map. (Could even put your tables in pre-established labs such as cove or container)

This will bring back the importing of tables which will have more roleplay in getting them.

Make setting them up/picking them back up locked behind a timer, so people can't just pack up the labs fast, Sort of like a chop shop.

Tables being priced the way they were, a small operation wouldn't be too pricy for a newer player/but a large operation would be extremely pricey/risky to operate.

Huge -1 to actually having private labs themselves. While yes, if this feature were reimplemented, I would most certainly use it, I don't see anything good coming from having a private lab. The original reason they were removed was to promote more roleplay, rather than sitting in a property for hours on end every day. The current daily player count is also lower than it was at the time of the original removal, so I don't see why it would be a good time to bring this feature back.

I like the comments made by Requiem, Kon, Earl, and Carl. I think what they spoke about could actually be really cool and different. Currently, if we get a shitty lab rotation, we can't just call the cops to the lab and get it shut down. There is actually no real way of getting a lab shut down on purpose if it's a shit lab. Having a way to open our own lab for a short period of time, and/or place our own tables in place of the default ones, would be quite different.

This suggestion was mainly towards beijg able to place them outside with extra cooking time, but it would be nice for more of a variety in lab rotation or more labs open. It’s been forever flower shop and other labs were open

Its not like there is much happening regardless, before labs where a deadmatch lobby, now even that is dead.

Instead of this the original public labs should have the most valulable drugs to bring up north side of the map alive more.

+1 I agree  if private labs were as powerful as public lab it would lower the engagement a lot and will bring inflation to the server however, I think considering the state we're in, where it's nearly impossible for a smaller group to make drug money without being loaded with guns or backup is like, 1 in 10 times. I know some people do it successfully still in whatever way they want and criminal roleplay must come with risk but plainly speaking, private drug lab are not free of risk, Maybe restrict it to RV only and the exploding table mechanics also provide another way of interaction and it takes forever to cook drugs. I don't see it as opportunity to stop engaging but rather having more options, The private drug lab in an RV with limited space and the constant need for water could simply not serve as a bigger source but rather allow the smaller groups to have SOME sort of alternative than forming an entire militia just to cook 500 Coke lol.

Cooking as a solo (unless the server is extremely low pop and even then labs are held most of the time) is fighting an uphill battle. Solo players or players that there gang is not active at a lab should have the choice to cook drugs as a money maker instead of default to house robberies, ATM’s or rob stores.

Also with this being said, imagine you are a new player and find out recipes, where to buy drugs, where labs are, only to get run up by multiple players with heavies giving demands. This player should be able to cook by themselves if they choose to, if you are outgunned at a public lab that is one thing but being locked out of a huge part of content on the server because you are alone or in a small group is not ideal for anyone besides the big gangs.

Public labs should have some sort of benefit for being held and increase risk for sure, but as of now, it’s definitely an “if you can’t beat them, join them” scenario.

Ultimately I’d say -1 but I do see how it is annoying for solos and or new players so I think a good compromise could be adding the ability to cook in rvs and make it so the smoke shows on the outside of the rv to allow for ic interactions.

It's annoying but everyone has gone through this at some point on the sever. It took myself months of playing/meeting new people before I could join a decent gang & cook with ppl back in 2019/2020. If new players can't do this then they need to up their social skills.....

I loved the private labs. But they caused inflation. Meanwhile putting every best car up for credits, might cause a different type lf inflation. “Every dolar not spend ingame moves into a different direction.

This post is made out of good faith btw

dont go bashing

very much agree, but it comes from 2 ways, gangs should also interact with newer people more

A few years ago when private cooking was a thing, it meant that people could essentially AFK for hours and cook hundreds of drugs at a time with very little risk. This also meant that a lot of crims would spend countless hours alone in a house or warehouse cooking, which limits the amount of RP that could take place.

I understand the desire to bring back private labs as it was very easy to make money, but for RP and interacting with people and gangs it's not a good thing.

i actualy feel that it brought more RP to the server, gangs where constant popping up doing propper RP in order to be official and then gangs would be doing business with eachother. now..... nowdays its clapping and clapping an clapping and even that is decaying slowly. so it really did not ADD RP it added interaction and manny perma bans over DM
