  1. This wouldn't make sense ICly. Same thing. Internal affairs cannot ignore IA reports against their own officers, unless they are corrupt/have corruption permissions from their faction leader.
  2. Having their hands up doesn't mean they want to comply, they're doing it because they're most likely under FearRP. Stalling could get them reported - for example, you use the first macro of cuffing them, they will be forced to respond, whether it was instantly or within 30 seconds, otherwise, they'd be stalling and could catch a punishment. Resisting will get them tazed which will affect their character, or, they might get reported for breach of FearRP. Adding a delay could fix the issue. Correct, the second you start ((Typing)) that means RP is in effect. If they run away for example, that would be powergaming.
  3. This was discussed before and the current stance is that you are allowed to use macro RP as long as you're not interacting with players; so only passive RP such as taking a bodycam, putting on your uniform etc. This is to ensure fair RP for both parties, as there will be a small chance that using macros will shorten the RP scenario which might affect the final outcome. For example, if a suspect gets arrested - you attempt to cuff him. Writing the /me line will take roughly 5-10 seconds. In those 5-10 seconds, his backup/allies might be responding. If you used a macro, you'll manage to cuff him, potentially, before his backup arrives, but if you were writing the RP, there will be a chance that you won't be able to complete this action before backup arrives. This is one of the reasons why macros aren't allowed.

  5. If criminals can retaliate by kidnapping or killing the cop, then they wouldn't be submitting IA reports. But they find IA reports the only way to actually do something to the cop, as other options aren't allowed due to server rules. I agree with you that it does sound weird, but there are no other options on the table.

  13. Add script support to stores where LEO's that have the ability to take prints, to scriptly be able to check cash register and collect any prints on it by providing a UI point to interact with. In the event of multiple players have touched the cash register during a store robbery while not wearing gloves, the script will offer several interaction points. For e.g. If 3 players were grabbing cash - You'd see 3 UI points on the cash register and close to it. This will only occur after RP of checking the cash register for prints have been done, to which the player/detective can use a command to reveal the UI points. The same applies to banks too, if any prints can be found on the table.
  14. Detective RP has been around since forever. It's not about how long can you put someone in prison, it's about the RP that you'll be doing; I couldn't care less about the prison time of the charge that I'm going to place on someone, and I don't think anyone does. Furthermore, some cases take days and some weeks to eventually charge someone with a misdemeanor or a felony. In short, a lot happens behind the scenes, and since you're not a detective, you wouldn't know that. Lastly, people are allowed to do whatever they want, if they want to evade cops, let them be. At least they would be giving LEOs something to do. I'm always down for a chase.

  17. I think upping the salary cap to 10-12k with the current economy wouldn't cause any damage, in fact, it'll make things look more realistic, for e.g. each respective rank should have a their own salary. A Chief of Police and a Commander shouldn't be paid the same amount of money per hour. This ain't about the money, it's about what makes sense and what doesn't. +1 for me.
  18. @Thunderboss where is part 10???????
  19. I think private labs should get fully removed from the server, however, before doing that, stores and chopping must get a decent buff so things are balanced for smaller crims that cannot hold a lab without getting robbed. Once that's done, create a self-refunding command like the attachments one and allow players to refund/sell their tables and vents and get their money back. Simply purge the server. Players should focus on having interactions with each other, not hide inside a property and print money. Just get rid of the private labs and encourage people to do stores, chop cars and do other activities. Stores are fun, but they're not worth it at this moment. Also, now the Public labs are buffed, it makes total sense to use them instead of the private ones. I personally own a private lab and I only used it not because I don't wanna get robbed at public labs, but because it used to take so much time to cook there, but as of now, that's not the case.
