Ranger's Super Epic Idea! [Rework] Prison Times - Speed up active in-game prisoner activity, when offline prison time is real time. Set it at a minimum of 5 hours. Some people may hop on eclipse for a couple hours after work, when in game the time is cut or just for however much time they may have to dedicate to gaming, so if people cant dedicate time to spend in game at prison for an extended amount of time, they can opt to spend that time offline, with the time being longer and/or the full 5 hour sentence(+) that they were given. It still holds the "punishing" effect for an IC consequence, and they can choose to spend that time in game Roleplaying, or spend longer out of game not playing at all, or developing more of a story on another character. Pros: - More motivation to spend time RPing in prison - Better fit for some of the people who cant afford to spend 5+ hours in a prison instead of roleplaying (As we all know, prison RP can be hit or miss). - People still hold the punishment for committing crimes, and at the same time get a minor reward for staying in game to roleplay with the sped up time. Cons: - People may not be as 'afraid' to go to prison as they can spend time offline rather than play the game (although they don't need to play, its still a decent punishment to not be able to play the character you would like to for 5 hours!) (Its a very controversial topic that prison times are too long, or in some cases people think they are too short. I ask that we don't divulge into that conversation as its not healthy for what the suggestion is, so stay clear of that please. Leave it to a downvote or an upvote.) Another idea I have is more of a rule suggestion, so it will be posted in the correct section. You can view it and leave comments/feedback HERE.

[Rework] Player theft Rules Rework [Player Theft, Kidnapping] - Allow players to commit crimes in 'public' from XX:XXpm to XX:XXam [ex./ 9pm-8am] with valid reason. I think a lot of people can agree that the original change has done a bit of 'damage' to the criminal side of life, as it cuts down the ability to rob people for their goods, and on top of wanting to rob people just for their items, robbing/kidnapping people for RP reason [ex./ Robbing/Kidnapping someone for leaving a gang, robbing/kidnapping someone for doing you wrong, Kidnapping someone for an initiation, etc]. With this change, it will allow players to commit crimes in 'somewhat public' areas AT NIGHT where IRL most crimes are committed on the 'nightly'(daily) level, and brings back the aspect that most criminals want, where robberies can happen more often. Pros: - Increases activities for criminals/PD - It possibly will add more immersion. Most players will walk around/wonder freely at night, while in some places you should be somewhat afraid of being there, as you can get ran up on or robbed. - As long as the rule is followed and players hold valid RP reason, there should be no issues with the rule being questionable/hard to enforce. Cons: - There is a chance that players may get robbed more at a higher rate, but that's where more RP comes into play for PD/SD/DOC - May or may not prove to be difficult to track when something happens using in game time in reports. (This is a modification, not a revert/removal. As this may be a somewhat controversial topic, please leave comments to be constructive and/or left to a simple +1/-1. Any Pros/Cons are fine, just keep it civil is all I ask.)

It’s been a year since Burnout was formed. Don had the idea to go on a cruise, not just a normal cruise, but a cruise that brings back good memories. The idea was to cruise around to old spots that the Burnouts went on the day that they officially went public as a group. During their meeting, he informed all of the Burnouts about it after talking about the Summer Showdown Car Show, and everyone was ready for it. Don began to send texts for everyone to meet up, and they all met up at The Lot and hung out for a little bit before leaving. After goofing around for a little bit, Don rallied the Burnouts and let them know the plan for the night. “We’re going on a cruise to different spots that we visited a year ago today, so let’s get to our cars and head out!”. The Burnouts followed, and everyone got into their cars and they began to cruise around from location to location. As the Burnouts traveled around the state and stopped at numerous locations, they took pictures in a few notable spots of when Burnout went on their first cruise together as an established club. The First Location: The Vinewood Bowl - A nice area that Burnout decided to go, and where a few new members met the founders and existing members on their first cruise a year ago. The Second Location: The Pond - the place where burnout was talked about even more as the founding members got serious and developed what it is today. Burnout would sit at the pond day after day when the members weren’t out or at their jobs just hanging out. Members of Burnout still say that they are responsible for making The Pond a popular fishing spot for the time that it was. The Third Location: Purm’s Pumps V2 - This is where Burnout hosted a club favorite game, hide n’ seek. Burnout would play this game numerous times, and from time to time invite other groups to come to join in and enjoy the fun and games with the club. The Fourth Location: The Pier - As this wasn’t the most popular location, it was one of the first locations Burnout went to on their first cruise, to try and give themselves some exposure in the city. But also, it was a notable location for one member in particular; Gary Taylor. Gary is one of the longest-lasting members from the original recruitment that Burnout did as they established themselves. He was recommended to join by Don, and since that day on the Pier, he has been with Burnout for over a year. Gary wasn’t so sure about Burnout at first, as he was focusing heavily on LSPD, and was recently reinstated at the time, but he found himself to enjoy the club deeply. The Final Location: Observatory - This is where Burnout took their first pictures of the club as it began. The first picture was exclusively Founders, but Burnout is at the point that its more than just the founders. Burnout is proud to have been up for over a year, and there are no plans to stop any time soon. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together, but together we stand as a family. As the Burnouts drove around from location to location, they joked around about events that happened a year ago on that day and talked about how much the other founding members and old members were missed, and how much they wished that they would have been there that day to see what the club became. The End Side note: Asbo said it all pretty much in the post he made, but all of the founding members of Burnout are very happy that Burnout has gotten to where it is today, and how proud we are of the mini-community we built inside of ECRP. We are excited to bring more car shows and car culture-related RP to the community. Thanks for the read! I’m a bit late with this post

By @Ranger and @Asbo It was the night before the big show, and everyone was excited for the day to come. Don was hanging out at LSC and chatting with his buddy John Styll about The Summer Showdown event that was to happen the next day, and was seeing if he would want to play music at it. As he was talking to John, Hazel hopped on the Burnout freq and asked what people were up to. Don told her to come to LSC and hang out as John was about to show Don some music. As Hazel showed up to LSC Don and John were already vibing heavily to some music. As the music went on, Asbo texted Don to see what was going on, and Don called Asbo and had him come to LSC as well to come to hang out and listen to music. Once Asbo arrives, the mini party was alive. A few LSC employees came over to listen to music as well, and everyone was dancing and having a good time. Once John stopped playing music, Asbo said “Let’s make this a Co-Concert” as he chuckled and set up his speaker system. Asbo started playing music, then after his song, John would play a song. After a little bit, Don jokingly said “What if we opened Insignia right now?” It was a bit of a stretch because of how late it was, and the effort it would take to open the club and offer security, drinks, and music all at once. Hazel then said, “I mean, we could just do it at The Lot since it’s closer and we own it”. Don got excited to hear that people were in agreeance to the impromptu party becoming more of a reality than just an idea. Everyone started to head to The Lot and parked up their cars once they got there. Asbo and John promptly got to work. Asbo brought his Moonbeam Custom with a custom speaker setup in it. As they began music, Don biked to parking to get his Novak to haul some music equipment. He then went to the furniture store and bought some lights and a DJ stand for the boys to use while they performed. As he got back, Hazel had already called Weazel News and ordered a blip and a few ads. The party was starting. After a while and as more people showed up, a TARV rolled in. Don got worried that they would be shut down, then saw the people who were in it. Church, Jamie, Darion Rueb, Gary Taylor, and a couple of other officers that everyone knew got out, and began to join in on the fun, as it was a slow shift that night. The friends from Metro decided to head out and do some patrolling, which is when Asbo and John decided to have some fun with the music. Asbo took the stand and started to play a fast-paced song. Naturally, Don got everyone to start running around like they were from a cartoon. The party started to die down, and people started leaving. It was a chance for Asbo to go a bit off the track of music and get into some different music. He began playing some music by request including a bit of metal. As a couple of songs went by, they all decided that it was time for the party to end.

It’s been a while since the city has seen a car show. Don was thinking about hosting another one for a while, and he spoke to Asbo about it, and they both had the great idea to host this one. A car show at the beach, and the theme being foreign cars vs domestic cars. After getting the base idea set to get the meet going, it was now time to find some sponsors to help Burnout plan the event financially a bit better. Asbo spoke to Jonathon Purminelli to sponsor maxing out the raffle vehicles, and James Erikson to sponsor the domestic car to be raffled, and Don called Paulo Witherfork to see if he would sponsor the foreign car that would be raffled since he knew that Paulo recently became a shareholder in HeavyFlow. Don, Asbo, and Hazel waiting patiently as Paulo arrived at the spot. He and Asbo told Paulo, and as they were explaining it, Paulo stopped them and showed those two the poster he had made for their own event that was similar in idea. After learning that Assured Services was looking to host a meet, they decided that it was a good idea to merge together and co-host the Summer Showdown. After the short meeting with Paulo Witherfork, Don began texting all the burnout members and letting them know that they would be hosting a meeting at the ranch. After hearing back from most of the members, they scheduled a day to have the meeting. As the day approached, all the members began heading to the ranch to have the meeting Don spoke about. During the meeting, Don let the Burnouts know about the plans for the car show, and they briefly talked about some other activities they want to plan including a movie night and some other fun activities. After talking about activities, a few members were promoted from Burner to Blazer, and Gary Taylor was promoted to Cruiser after almost 10 months of being in the club. Once all the promotions and activity topics were said and done, Don told the Burnouts that they would be going on a cruise to the meet location, and showing everyone where the cars would park and what the plans were for the show. As the time approached, all of the Burnouts met at the location of the meet. Paulo Witherfork was already there and everyone was ecstatic to get the event going. Ads have been running, a blip was ordered, and Don had just got the tables set up. Once Paulo and the Burnouts were all at the car meet location, he briefed them all on parking locations, and raffle documents. Shortly after that, people started arriving en masse and began parking their vehicles with the guidance of Paulo and Asbo. As the show went on, Don called for the judges to start going around and looking at cars. Gary Taylor and Josh Durry for foreign cars, Paulo Witherfork and Asbo for domestic cars. As they went around and judged cars, Don began marking names down on a couple of wheels for the raffles. Once Don finished with that, the cars were chosen, and a couple of cars needed a tie-breaker to choose the #1 car from each class. As the judging was ending, Don called for everyone to come to watch the raffles go off. As he announced the winners for the raffles, he then got word on the winners of the judging and announced that. After giving the cars to the respective winners, Paulo decided to have everyone that worked the event, and the raffle winners take a nice picture together.

First time GTARPer, but I hope to get to know y'all.
Ranger replied to Homast's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome! I also started as a first time GTARPer! This is a great community if you are willing to learn everything! My advice for a new player (I wish I had someone tell me this so I caught on quicker) is to check out the server guides thread so that you can quickly grasp onto commands, proper ways to use /me's and /do's, and much more. You can also press "F5" in-game and it will list some commands for you. The link will be connected here for the Server Guides. If you also want to check it out, there are some cool threads in here as well, that kind of give good ideas on how to further your roleplay and how to become fluent in how things may work. It still may take time outside of forums to learn your way around things, but if you ever need assistance in game, feel free to use the /report feature and one of our members of staff will help you out! (We also have #i_have_a_question in discord if you aren't in game or if no-one is free to respond to an in-game report). Enjoy! (And don't be afraid to reach out!) -
Welcome!

The rain hit the windows of Maccy’s Vinewood mansion. A downpour of that nature was unusual for the state of San Andreas but it perfectly encapsulated Maccy’s inner turmoil. His phone began to ring, it was his wife, calling at the same time as usual; same as every night. Ever since she’d left to move back to the UK things hadn’t been the same. He’d collected numerous cars, even managed to purchase properties, but none of it brought the same sensation it had once before. In his age he’d realized that the finer aspects of life, that assets can’t provide the same feeling that relationships could. Maccy and Bez talked for a while on the phone about how burnout was going and about how his duties were going as a sheriff. She expressed her concerns as normal over his safety whilst on duty but he ensured her that shootings in Los Santos were becoming less frequent and that the job was becoming safer. He’d spent much more time engrossed in his work as Burnout reminded him too much of his wife and whilst he was proud of what they’d achieved with the club and considered some of the members to be family, they couldn’t distract him from the fact. He began to realize that his position as Chairman might be better suited to someone else, someone who could put more effort and time into it. He spoke to Don and Asbo briefly regarding it and they all decided that Don would be the best man for the job. After a small amount of time filled with planning, the Burnouts set up a meeting at their OG spot “The Ranch”. Everyone arrived at the location, and got comfortable on the couches. Don began to talk to everyone about ideas he had, and asked if they had anything to add. Shortly after Don finished, Maccy stepped up and broke the news to everyone that he would be stepping down, and that Don would be the new Chairman. Everyone was shocked to hear this news, but understood the reasoning. After everyone soaked in the news, they continued the meeting. As the meeting ended, everyone decided to go on a cruise, and as they were about to leave, Maccy called Don back to the parking area. Don walked into the back and asked Maccy “What’s up?”, and Maccy raised his arm, and flashed his keys to his Seven-70 to Don. He told Don “It has the Chairman plate, and I think you should have it seeing how things are changing.” and dropped them into Don’s hands. Don nodded at Maccy, knowing that it wasn’t just a car, it was a commitment. Him and Maccy exchanged a few words, and as Don looked over his shoulder, he saw everyone standing behind them watching, and Don didn't just see people, he saw his family.
