  1. Overall, my total favorite experience is just meeting everyone I know (OOCly & ICly) and gaining friends. Specific RP, I will never forget the first time I met Darius Bivins at Bayview. Second to this, is back in 2020 when gangs would enforce color, I was putting blue on my car, and at the same time watched some Zetas gun someone down in LSC with an AK for having his car blue and refusing to change it. Some may say that could be a negative thing, but as a newplayer/new to the server player, it struck fear into me when it came to interacting with Zetas. I have never swapped the color I chose quicker than that moment. Here's a funny clip of me starting turmoil between a good friend of mine from Africa (yes, actually) and someone putting on the accent. Bayview days were top tier. 2. Personally I wouldn't be opposed to this, I believe that due to the scarcity of criminal role players ordering and using armor it may show beneficial to lower the armor points for PD/SD whether it's a 'for the time being' change or a permanent one. However, if LEO armor points drop, I believe that weapon prices should NOT lower/raise, because then after a few weeks it will inevitably be the "LEO don't have enough armor to combat the amount of armed criminals that are running about!" argument. Below I will touch on each point raised by OP, and (I don't think I need to say this but I will), this is my solo opinion as a community member, not as a staff member or member of the LSPD. SWAT/SED Armor: Speaking as a member of SWAT myself, I do still believe that divisions like SWAT and SED should of course have the highest armor option(s), as out of anyone in any department, as those are the divisions that often insert themselves into situations where they may face high lethal force and be outnumbered. Naturally, they should have higher AP armor paired with their weapons - they are meant to be the division(s)/unit(s) to end situations like that (to the best of their abilities of course). (To preface, for those who don't know, SWAT and SED have two (2) 'versions' of patrol, PASSIVE is when they are on standard patrol and ACTIVE is when they put on 'their gear' for operations for situations that call for it.) SWAT/SED Passive (current): 150 AP SWAT/SED Active (current): 150 AP SWAT/SED Passive (suggested): 100AP (highest AP a criminal can order armor for) SWAT/SED Active (suggested): 125AP (25 AP higher than above) The reason the "Passive" uniform should still be 100AP, is due to the fact that whether they are active or passive, they will still respond to high threat scenes where high lethal force may be present (and we don't consider every situation (such as a bank robbery) to be a situation to go 'active' for), so they should of course still have somewhat of a higher hand, being that 'team' that trains for situations such as those and inserts themselves into it if it makes sense. The 'Active' armor should be 125AP, because if we put those uniforms on, we are 85% of the time inserting ourselves into 'one of those' situations. General Officers: Speaking for standard patrol officers, they may find themselves in some situations such as those more scarcely (as they of course do general duties as patrol officers and not big bad SWAT bois), I don't see a reason to patrol in anything higher than 50-75AP armor. If this is done, three things may come of it; 1: GOB (General Patrol) officers will need to be more careful of which situation(s) they insert themselves in due to the possible threat of life (i.e waiting for SWAT to arrive at a Bank or Store Robbery before 'going in') 2: GOB (General Patrol) officers will implement calling units such as SWAT/SED more frequently - giving people in those divisions more 'action' and RP interaction(s) 3: There won't be a constant predicament of 'every' officer running around with the highest AP number that criminals can order (again, doubling back to #2) Regarding SWAT & GOB armor, there will be times that MANY officers even go on patrol without ANY armor on at all, including myself. It's hard for me to put a decent 'balance' in my opinion, as there will inevitably people who disagree with SWAT/SED's use cases and armory (armor, weapons, etc), but heyho, it's worth at least hearing the opinion. Weapons: - I do not know the exact weapon damage values as per the server defines them, I'm just doing math with the calculator app with knowledge available to anyone :^) - References are linked in each weapon name. - I will not talk about Pump shotgun, Pistol(s), or SMG & Micro as those are available to anyone. I do understand the 'issue' with weapons available to LEO, but, (and I hate to be cliché), it's what is realistic for the department(s) to have and I don't think there is a large-scale / game breaking issue with the weapons allowed. I'll briefly go over a few weapons; Carbine Rifle 32 Damage, 65 Fire Rate, and 55 Accuracy. Looking at the AK, it's 2 damage points higher than the AK (AK fire rate = 60). Looking at the damage numbers POST weapon damage update, the AK was boosted by 50%, and the Carbine by 20% (AK=45 DMG, Carbine=38.4 DMG) The reason it seems like carbine is better than the AK, is because you are shooting an AK at someone who has armor, compared to LEO shooting at someone with (normally) no armor, so inb4 "4 sHoT cArBiNe", think of the differences with armored v non-armored. Marksman Rifle & Sniper Rifle It's hard to put these in comparison of another weapon, as there are about 2 (that I OOCly know of) sniper rifles (Heavy & Standard) on the server owned by non-LEO. The use cases are restricted, and only members of SWAT/SED can use them - even at that, it's restricted as to how many can be out at once, and the proper usage in non-hostage related situations is rare. The usage of the sniper rifle actually being used is the rarest I've seen in PD, I've only seen it used ~4-5 times in my year in the faction. Special Carbine (G36C)* To make this next statement abundantly clear, this is not meant to be a "yOuRe WrOnG" to the OP comment --- the LSPD/SD/DOC does not have access to any MK2 weapons what-so-ever. I won't go too into details, if you click the hyperlink you can see it's ranked higher than the AK by 3 weapons. I personally hate having the Special Carbine in our armory, not because of it's power, but for immersion purposes (it's damage can be argued, but so can 30-man banks and lab shootout scenes which we involve ourselves in from time to time and us needing to escalate our end for those). To those who don't have knowledge of OOC ATU (Anti-Terror Units), the G36C is used by the GSG-9 (a German Anti Terror Unit). I despise being a representation of the LAPD using a weapon utilized by a German ATU. Personally, I'd like to see the Carbine Rifle MKII be implemented, and have the damage dropped to the same level as the carbine mainly for immersion/aesthetic. At that, we also have heavy restrictions on using the Special Carbine - we do not allow members of SWAT (I cannot speak for SED as their protocols are different) to carry Special Carbines on standard patrol due to it's statistics. Vehicle(s): I don't have much to say about the vehicles, SWAT/SED have protocols in place relating to when a specific vehicle can be pulled out or not. Additionally - the Insurgent (no gun) is the only vehicle with bulletproof tires (no bulletproof windows), and the TARV is the only vehicle with bulletproof windows (non bulletproof tires). Normally in most situations, those vehicles will be pulled out for operations such as drug lab raids/explosions or DOC HVT transports, where even at that, people won't try to intervene due to the chances of breaking their friends out < getting caught doing so. The only personal PAST distaste towards vehicles (and this is the rarest vehicle that gets used, I've seen it 2 times in my year tenure in the LSPD and one other time outside of being in the LSPD) is the usage of the Insurgent 50 cal. It's not used a lot, and we require heavy permissions, so the use case is EXTREMELY I cannot stress this enough EXTREMELY limited (you'd have a higher chance to see 12 different 1 of 1 supers in a day than to see this). Even with it being pulled out, it's meant to only be a deterrent and 'persuade' people to leave an area/not get involved. The TL;DR, is that in my opinion LEO should ONLY use what is accessible, nothing where only one/two ranks in the department can pull it out.

    Burnout Nation

After getting the property, Don and Asbo headed out to Motorsports to pick up the prize car for their 2-year anniversary event, the Jugular. Shortly after, they split off for the night. Don soon began brainstorming ideas for how to remodel the place, the first step was the shop floor. With Asbo’s recommendation, he bought some flooring to install with a checkerboard pattern to make the place look nice. After building the shop, Don spent a while inside, creating the ultimate chill spot which includes a bathroom, a CCTV/Gaming room, a pool table, an air hockey table, and finally a chill corner with a TV and couches. Once completing the interior remodel, Don spoke to Asbo and decided it was time to show the members. Texts were sent out, and a cruise was established. Once it came time, a few members met at the lot. Don began to lead the cruise around the state, stopping at a few places in the city, then making their way to Paleto where they stopped at Bayview, and then the Sheriff’s station to take a picture with the fat guy. After hanging out in Paleto for a little bit, Don then directed the cruise to the area of the shop, surprised the members, and told them all about it. Don and Asbo proudly showed the members around, and soon after, everyone split ways for the night. Throughout the week, Don showed all of the members he could who couldn’t come on the cruise.

    Burnout Nation

Burnout Nation has always been about cars. Most of its members are ex-mechanics, one of their members even being the Owner of LSC. The one thing Burnout was missing, was a garage to call their own. Asbo approached Don, asking if they should purchase a garage. Don was initially skeptical, but after time and thought he decided that it may be a good move for Burnout, as they did not have a space to work on their vehicles themselves. Don and Asbo looked around multiple garages, and couldn’t find one that wasn’t owned, as there was an organization with a “monopoly” on most of the garages as they started off as a group that worked on cars. Naturally, they will own a good amount of the garage space in the inner city of Los Santos. Don and Asbo searched and searched, and eventually lost hope of finding a non-occupied garage in the city, and they stopped searching. Don was assisting Asbo with a part shipment he received for his Jester Classic rebuild, and Don found a garage down at the docks that was clearly uninhabited. Don showed Asbo and he got pretty excited, as the garage had a good amount of space in it so when it came time to work on a car, there was no worry about not having enough room. Don called Tyrone Cox down to check out the property, and Tyrone told Don to make a property request. Don created the request, and after a short week’s wait, Don got a reply that it was accepted, all he had to do was give the go-ahead. Don met with Tyrone and Asbo at city hall and discussed the garage deal. Don went and wrote a check for the lease, and they all headed to the garage and Don was given the documents and keys by Tyrone. He gave Asbo a key, and Don and Asbo shortly left to prepare for a large event that is planned for Burnout’s 2 year anniversary.
  13. +1 (with stipulations previously mentioned). I do agree, having this option adds very small, but sometimes meaningful interaction between Civilian/Criminal Roleplayers and LEO Roleplayers with just such a small thing. I do think it would be nice to bring this back in, however, I am in agreeance with @alexalex303 that there should be some form of a 'mutual' command to it (/approvepayfine [ID]), just to prevent the past issue of people doing drive-by /payfine's.

    Burnout Nation

Don has a deep enjoyment for his cars. To him, it doesn’t matter if the car is an $800,000 performance model sports car, or if it is a daily driver, where the owner would have no worries about putting 150,000 miles on it. Although Don owns a handful of high-performance sports cars, there is one car that is different in his collection. His 190z. In the fall of 2020, Don had the itch to try something new. He was getting bored of his car collection, as he found himself choosing essentially the same thing whilst deciding what to drive. “Will I drive the Schlagen GT or the Elegy Retro?” his issue wasn’t figuring out what to drive, but his issue was that he didn’t have as much variety in his collection as he thought. That’s when one night he was laying in bed watching car videos when he saw a built and tuned-up 190z. As soon as he saw that car he knew that it was the car, the car to spice up his collection. He found a foreign dealership with low import rates and ordered the car, and after waiting about 2 months for it to be delivered, a local dealership had emailed him to give him confirmation that it arrived and was at the dealership for him to collect. Once he got a ride to collect it, he brought it to his parking garage to immediately bench it from the road, as the weather was starting to become unfit for it to be driven in. During the winter he ordered and installed the custom parts himself, including custom wood paneling and dials, and custom engine bay fittings. After finishing the build, Don couldn’t have been more proud. What started as an idea, turned into something that he would consider to be one of his favorite projects he’s done. Don normally won't drive it around as a daily car, but he brings it to any car show that he can to show off his work. (To see the stories about the build, feel free to read The Winter Project Pt. 1, The Winter Project Pt. 2, and The Winter Project Pt. 3 if you haven’t already!)

    Burnout Nation

Burnout and LSMC have always talked about working together for things, whether it be hosting an event, or just something as simple as bringing people to a club night to help make the venue alive. After many months of “yeah, we’ll set something up for sure”, Don approached Ava and Johnnie during a burnout event and said “I’m fuckin tired of me procrastinating this, let’s get this going and get some serious planning started.”. The LSMC buds were excited to finally get something going, as Burnout and LSMC had a tough upcoming as friends due to some past events, so it was key to Don, who had not been involved in the past issues to get something going with the two clubs to make something awesome. Burnout ended up running a club night, and afterward Ava, Johnnie, Don, Matthew, and a couple of others spoke briefly about running an event. A quick idea of a motorcycle race popped into Don’s head, as it made sense for the car club that has run legal races before, and a motorcycle club would combine those two into one event. After the idea was brought up and everyone showed their interest in it, they decided to hold a small meeting with both of the clubs to plan deeper. (Don speaking to LSMC, talking about planning an event.) As the day came closer to the meeting, Don got a couple of Burnouts together and headed to The Lot, which is where they were later met by LSMC. They spoke more and decided to head to Heavyflow, a subsidiary of Assured Services, which Burnout Nation has worked with many times. After heading there and speaking with Marco Davis (the owner and proprietor of Heavyflow), Burnout and LSMC took some Reevers that he borrowed the clubs to the drift arena to test out. They messed around and raced them around the track down there, and decided that they would want to use Reevers for the race. After being at the drift arena, they headed to the Observatory and ran the ‘small’ track, when they decided that was the location they wanted to use for the race. After sorting out the location, they headed back to Heavyflow to return the bikes. They spoke to Marco about buying one from the dealership for a lower price, and since he is a giving being, he decided to agree to those terms, as long as Heavyflow was marked as a sponsor. After securing the bike, the two clubs headed on their separate ways waiting for the day of the event to come. Don emailed PD and asked if they could get approval for the event to run, and after a day wait it was accepted. Don emailed everyone that played a part in the setup and let them know it was time to race. (The map that was made and sent to the LSPD, which had mapping of where they needed help.) As the day came, Don got a few people from Burnout around and met with LSMC at their southern HQ. After talking for a bit with them, they headed to Observatory, which is where they met Bruce, Liam, Asbo, and Durry. They sat at observatory waiting for the LSPD to show up, but instead LSSD showed up and assisted as PD was unable to assist at the time due to numbers being low. (A picture taken of the start area.) (Lewis Langley and Emily Whitehorse speaking with a spectator and an officer during the event.) Once everything was setup, people slowly began to arrive at the observatory. Don and Liam sat at the signup tent and began to take names of people who wanted to race, and marked them down. (A picture taken with a drone of the parking as the final races were about to begin!) After collecting roughly 45 names, they started calling names up for the races. A couple races ran, the crowd started to slim down a bit as the semifinals were beginning. During a couple of the races some people were hitting a couple of the turns too hard and injured themselves. Luckily MD and SD were there to assist. (Jimmy Solicetto assisting one of the racers that got injured on a turn.) Once the semi finals ended, a small situation happened where Darius Bivins took an officer at gunpoint and attempted to hold him up for some reason, but he was quickly taken down by the other members of SD that were there. (Darius holding a gun to an officer before he was taken down and arrested.) After dealing with that, the races continued and eventually the finals began. The final four racers were Cheng Izumi, Chris Morgan, Donnie Drakk, and Lucas Laney. Once Matthew counted them down and sent them off, all of the tensions got raised at the line as spectators were excited to see who won. When the final lap came, Cheng Izumi came out on top and passed the finish line first, being crowned the winner and receiving the prize, a maxed Reever! (Cheng and LSD posing next to the prize Reever.) After taking a picture with the winner and his group, everyone that participated cleared out, and Burnout and LSMC took a moment to congratulate each other on the success of the event, and took one last photo before splitting their separate ways. (A picture of LSMC and Burnout Nation after the event.) (LSMC's Thread Story about the event!)

  24. IIRC PD/SD only see MD calls if the person calls for 'both' (Shows as: [MED/LAW]). I do agree with Aldarine's statement that it would be cool to only show the phone number, as I've commonly seen PD/SD respond to MD calls because of someone's name showing up (I am NOT saying PD/SD only respond to MD calls purely for arrests!). In return, I think it would be best to scriptly implement a way to search phone numbers so investigations on calls can be performed if necessary. With certain stipulations, +1
