  1. +1 Having this implemented with no animation would still be better than not at all.
  2. +1 I see so many people using /s after the no-radio was implemented not revealing it's powergaming. /s should just be completely disabled when injured, or a rule change either allowing it, even if just for depending which injury you're RPing (for example if i fell from a height and RP broken legs then you'd be able to shout but if it'd make sense to be unconscious then /s would be PG)

  5. Honestly, I like the idea. Whether you stage yourselves as DCC competition or try and be more specialized than them it could offer good RP. Your "xp in the company" system seems a bit weird, There's a reason pretty much every other job uses a merit-based rank system for promotions and pay rises. You can most likely kick this off without any need for any script support initially as setting up your own company is pretty straightforward, especially one where your only real need would be vehicles to start with.
  6. -1 for perishable items (Food & drink) +1 for personal belongings, clothing, radio, gps...things unrelated to the crime committed. Would make DOC stuff way easier as there's only so much stuff we can keep hold of and we still get complaints from those we cannot keep.
  7. So as someone who's main character is high command at the prison, there's a few reasons for this. Firstly, when we don't take accessories off people, they remain scriptly on their person when the inmate outfit is added, so this results in people with scarves, glasses, watches, hats etc on their person whilst in prison, this is very unrealistic and people then proceed to use them to create makeshift weapons. To combat this we had to start removing them off people. (Sometimes we RPly remove them and oocly let them keep it in their inventory for them not to use until they're released). So we decided we HAVE to take these items off people during processing. The second part of this is that what we do with them once we take them. There's 2 options, store them, or destroy them. To store them we do not currently have a locker system at the DOC so we cannot store a specific individuals items until their release, we used to do this also for clothes they're carrying and it resulted in us just leaving a bunch of trash in random places in the floor of a specific room. It was not viable at all. So, we keep popular items like GPS/Map/Fishing Rod/ Bag/Radio and expensive items but we trash clothing from inventory and trash items. So...How can we fix this? The 2 main ways that this can be fixed are as follows: Have access to a locker system at DOC that allows us to store items associated with an inmate and search for an inmate who's been released to give them their stuff back Have it so accessories like hats, watches, glasses get 'covered' like the rest of their clothing by the inmate uniform when they're in jail. So when they're released they're still wearing them as if they'd been given them after release. Both solutions together are best from my point of view as a locker system would allow us to store more than just the popular items. And the second solution would mean we don't need to take off their clothing items that they're wearing.
  8. (Remember, information in these posts is strictly OOC and using the knowledge IC is Metagaming) Solomon Cobb: From No Command to High Command It all started with an interview, jobless and not a penny to his name at Christmas, Solomon applied for a job at the S.A.D.O.C after seeing a bunch of officers on a recruitment drive in the city in a prison bus. He put in an application on the off-chance and made it through to the academy stage after worrying his vandalism misdemeanor from his first days in the city would hold him back. Little did he know this would be the beginning of an almost 3 year (8 Months) journey... The physical side of his academy went pretty poorly but the rest went smoothly, getting him recruited as a Correctional Trainee (None of the other new recruits lasted more than a few weeks). The academy was held by the (at the time) Commander #04 Herbert Butler and #355 Nick McAlister from the Human Resources department. When asked in his inteview "where do you see yourself in the future?" Solomon said how he has his eyes on the High Command positions with no idea how realistic that goal was. From his first shift, Solomon found a liking to the paperwork side of the SADOC, ensuring all his duty reports got completed after each shift and all the correct 10-15 processing paperwork was completed. Solomon got his sidearm certification during his first week at the DOC, in his current 3 years here he has only been required to discharge his firearm to injure someone once to defend (at the time) #04 Commander Moraine when a deranged maximum security inmate (MSI) took out a heavy weapon to shoot her in our front parking lot. Solomon is pretty opposed to using weaponry unnecessarily and has amazing restraint, only using the correct force required for the situation. On the first Friday since being hired, there was the weekly personnel meeting where he experienced his first promotion from Correctional Trainee to Correctional Officer I. This was a great feeling and pushed his ambition to climb the ranks further (Spoiler alert: only 3 people in the below image now remain at the DOC; #366 Solomon Cobb, #242 Reina Moraine, and #01 Ren Sanchez) In his first couple of months working at Bolingbroke Penitentiary Solomon made many friends who came and went, much time socializing at house parties held at the Warden Sanchez's mansion of a house. Solomon eventually joined the Human Resources department after deeming the Correctional Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T) too violent for his liking. This was an interesting experience for him as he was now on the other side of the table and interviewing a new potential recruit. Overseen once again by #355 Nick McAlister, he began to get the hang of this new role. Forming relationships at the SADOC was always an easy task for Solomon as he prides himself on being an approachable and friendly person, this includes with the inmates. Through earning the trust and loyalty from those he works with, the long lasting bonds that have been formed in the many months have served him well and given him people to rely on. Eventually he also found love with his colleague #431 Yuki Nakamura, a fellow Human Resources officer (Thought that caused issues since he was technically her superior, but there's nothing a bit of paperwork won't fix so he created the Employee Social/Romantic Relationship Disclosure to set guidelines for officers in relationships). Eventually through months of hard work, Solomon was promoted into Divisional Command as the 2nd Lieutenant of the Human Resources division. This leadership role allowed Solomon to take a step back from being directly involved in recruitment and allowed him to watch those he had trained up to his previous position grow and take over. Solomon and Yuki's relationship was going well and eventually they found out that they were going to be the proud parents to a pair of surprise twins. This initially was a shock to him (which resulted in him passing out at Central MD after hearing there'll be 2). The happiness was short-lived when an extremely dangerous MSI Lucy Donovan started making threats to the couple which meant they had to go into hiding when off-duty and wear masks around the city. Solomon used his Computer knowledge to set up a thorough CCTV monitoring system for both of their houses on a secure server with the ability to let specific trusted people know when motion detectors were triggered. Sometimes even over-killing security just isn't enough, a single slip-up from us allowed Yuki to be kidnapped by the MSI Lucy Donovan. She managed to get a single radio call out which Solomon and Reina heard. Reina immediately informed the LSPD, whilst Solomon instantly drove into the city on a one-man mission to find Lucy and do something. Yuki's radio call said "I'm down by the..." and then cut off, followed by Lucy taunting Solomon and Reina on the radio. Solomon interpreted that as "down by the docks" and drove straight there (without informing Reina or PD), where he passed Lucy's car he'd seen at the prison many times previously. It was heading to Central MD, by the time Solomon got there Yuki was on the floor in the process of giving birth. Shortly after, medical help, LSPD, Reina and Ren appeared on the scene... Solomon saw only red from this incident and immediately darted off to find Lucy and do something he probably would regret later. A loud "SOLOMON GET BACK HERE OR YOU'RE FIRED" came over the radio from both Ren and Reina. For a split second, he debated his choices, upon realizing he'd be risking his livelihood for a slim chance of vengeance for the torment he chose to return to the scene. Yuki got the medical attention she required and she gave birth to the twins who they affectionately named "Ren" and "Reina" in respect to the Warden and Commander who had helped them significantly. (After passing out of course, Solomon is terrible with blood) Solomon knew his actions that night were going to be talked about at some point, however he thought it would be a reprimanding as they were extremely out of line. He knows the rules of the SADOC at this point and expected a severe punishment. Instead he was met with a small meeting where #04 Commander Reina Moraine explained the story of how she gave birth to her child which was an extremely similar situation with a different MSI. The details of this discussion will forever remain a secret but Solomon left it with a new outlook on how he should deal with and think about situations like the one of Yuki being kidnapped by MSI Lucy Donovan. Reina had always been seen as the aggressive and intimidating command member of the SADOC, but from this point on a bond had formed allowing a new outlook on her with a deeper level of respect and being able to call her a friend. Things slowly returned back to normal for him, returning to normal duties with the new personal responsibilities of being a father of 2. After starting his own division focusing on Public Relations and Internal Communications, a new goal was in mind: To get into High Command as the Commander of Special Divisions when Reina eventually gets promoted. The money he'd saved up to this point was pumped into his new business, a classic styled bar him and his business partners #408 Ben Snow and #433 Nathaniel Nakamura had named Peckerwood Lounge. The first of which events was a birthday party for Reina full of SADOC employees. This was a nice contrast to when Solomon had first started work where parties were held by the Warden. With a new style, Solomon was ready to make his rise once again. The Ex Deputy Warden-turned criminal-turned legal again Herbert Butler had worked his way up to Head of Public Relations of DCC, and Solomon used his previous relationships with the ex-felon to negotiate a deal as the Head of PR himself mutually beneficial to both of them. The hard work and knowledge Solomon had gained by being in every Special Division was eventually noticed by High Command, which brings us to the current day where he was promoted into High Command and is now known as: #04 Solomon Cobb, Commander of Special Divisions
  9. World of Warcraft, Smite, Magic the Gathering: Arena. Send help i'm addicted to them all

  11. 1 year old thread and I'm still giving it a +1. Nuking half my building to remove one small spotlight or something is not how it should work. ctrl+x menu would be ideal for someone who likes building. Might make peoples buildings nicer too as they wouldn't have to live with small mistakes due to being too scared to /removefurniture
  12. This doesn't require a rule change in my opinion. Sure, having more people roleplay out collisions would be great, and should be promoted. But the problem with having this as a rule is that what about the rest of it? Should you also be required to act like your car is totaled even though it's scriptly a lot more durable than what would happen for say 2x 240kmph cars crashing into each other would end up? The person a few posts above this had a point too about the extra strain it would put on an already thin MD. I absolutely agree reckless driving is an issue but I'd say IC suggestions to PD/SD/Government are probably a better course of action than a rule change like this.
  13. @Jleoni Yeah I should have been more specific, I think a hybrid of increased time/cost would be better. So if the time was increased or decreased the cost would be more proportional too.
  14. Any suggestion that improves civilian roleplay gets a +1 from me. I'm in the process of setting up a business and some support scriptly like this would be awesome .
  15. +1 Whilst we're here, dabbing too.
  16. As someone that loves civilian RP this would be a great addition for people to have more casual jobs and force some more RP between people and less just using the script.
  17. -1 For less time +1 for more variations in time based on the type of vehicle. It absolutely is an IC issue you have to wait to get a vehicle from Mors, such as not allowing opportunities for it to be taken or having other vehicles. But based off the price of the vehicle I could definitely support the idea that expensive or larger vehicles would take longer whereas smaller or cheaper types of vehicles would take less time.
  18. Same, right now we're tolerating each others presence ICly, expect more interaction between 2 groups in the future for sure though.
  19. @Henry Whittaker "they cannot promise that the will of Kutzlak will not force their hand otherwise." Super fun interaction I can't wait to see where it goes in the future between the 2 culty bois
  20. @Henry WhittakerThanks buddy! I interacted with your cult on my DOC character at the prison and whilst there wasn't much RP opportunities between us there I definitely think there'll be some crossover between your cult and our religion in the future...be it positive or negative haha!
  21. Prophet Mason Morrison Episode 4 The Prophet woke today to the sounds on KifflomFM radio frequency of another prophet appearing at The Epsilon Program building. Initially, this confused and angered Prophet Mason Morrison, however after a brief discussion between the prophet of the Cult of Kutzlak and the prophet of the Epsilon Program, they came to a mutual agreement to not tread on each others shoes when it comes to preaching. The two maintained a level of understanding and respect for each other and their beliefs as they both know how badly religion is viewed in the city and persecuted against, regardless of how it's labelled. Prophet Mason was...nervous...when Prophet Whittaker of the Cult of Kutzlak mentioned that they conduct sacrifices of people as the Epsilonists do no such thing and try to remain as crime-free as possible. Prophet Mason did not back down and show weakness though and maintained civil discussion to find out how in the future the two religions could work side-by-side to enlighten people of the city. (Prophet Whittaker said the cult does not believe in materialistic things so Prophet Mason sees this as a great opportunity for profit also to bleed them out of it). Time will tell to see if the two religions can co-exist, or if they will become rivals...
  22. Prophet Mason Morrison Episode 3 Prophet Mason Morrison took a ride up the elevator of tinsel towers to admire the view of the glorious, majestic, and giant Epsilon Program building. Wondering what happened to the deed of the property once the previous Prophet vanished from Los Santos. "Maybe one day I will be able to purchase it from the government so my followers have a home" he thinks to himself. __________________________ The Prophet awoke to the sounds of screaming from one of his followers, it had turned out some low-life criminal had threatened and stabbed one of the members of The Epsilon Program. However this criminal did not get very far as after he had robbed Sister Maddison, he made it away. The brothers and sisters called the LSPD and gave a description of the man, who, for some bizarre reason, chose to return to the Epsilon building. LSPD were still on scene talking to us when he arrived and was detained. It appeared he had cleaned his knife to hide any evidence, but being the basic criminal he is, the man kept the stolen items on him. One of these items was a radio that was on our Kifflom FM™ frequency. This was enough evidence for LSPD to send the criminal on his way to the Department Of Corrections . __________________________ As a bunch of The Epsilon Program decided to get jobs at Downtown Cab Co (as everybody knows, knowledge is not free), they began to face persecution from the other employees there and as they had already been harassed and persecuted by LSC and other government agencies, they decided to take this up to the Human Resources department as some employees had been making false accusations such as "I saw them sacrifice people, and they do prostitution" which are both completely baseless accusations as the religious group do nothing of the sort! This resulted in a staff meeting where the Human Resources department, to the surprise of Prophet Mason, backed them up and said as long as the religion does not spread their knowledge on duty then other employees should not act so hostile. Overall this made the religion feel more welcomed into the job and gave them more people they can feel closer to.
  23. Prophet Mason Morrison Episode 2 Prophet Mason Morrison finished his nightly commune with Kraff to be told he should head over to the Pier as there's someone wanting a baptism. Prophet Mason rushed down there and apparently the man had been paid for by his friend in the devil mask, 10x our usual charge for a baptism! This was wondrous news to the Prophet as this can be funneled back down to him. After the baptism the man in green and white took us to "Azteca" HQ, The Epsilon Program has no affiliation with any group in the city so we did not know what to expect and we were met with severe hostility and heavy weapons pointed at us for wearing denim trousers and our sky blue polo shirts. Luckily the (other) boys in blue showed up (LSPD) and scared them away. From this we moved on to recruiting across the city and amassed more followers, when taking them to the clothing store to get their sky blue polo shirts. We met even more new people there who were interested in hearing our 'truth'. Mr Oboobwe Kwananza approached us and was interested in finding more about what the religion and/or science is about. He took Prophet Mason's business card and should be interviewing the religion at a later date. Leaked photo of Prophet Mason's business card:
  24. Prophet Mason Morrison Episode 1 Prophet Mason Morrison took the initial batch of recruits to the Epsilon Program building in Rockford Hills today, this resulted in one casualty but KIFFLOM saved their soul and MD saved their body after a long prayer. After this issue the group rushed to the hospital where they were pulled over by some police officers, one going by the name Steel. He required the Prophet Mason to conduct a breathalyzer test to ensure he was not under the influence but the only thing Prophet Mason was high on was the power of KIFFLOM! After preaching the word of Epsilonism to the officers of Los Santos Police Department, the group left to head to the pier to do some fishing and talk with the locals, some were very receptive of the words of wisdom and preaching the 12 Tenets of KIFFLOM, however some were extremely hostile and disliked seeing a new religion in the city. The nonbelievers will soon pay when the 10th Paradigm comes. ____________________________ From this point Thesis Dexter Jackson started to work on his recruiting technique using the perfectly tailored, tried and tested script created by Prophet Mason. He approached several people but he had the most success when finally he came across an Isabel Johnson whom he recruited outside of Mission Row PD when she gave Mason a call asking for help. Thesis Dexter had perfected his technique taught by Prophet Mason and recruited 1 new member to the Epsilon program. His reward, a $4,000 cut of the $9,999 fee new members are charged for the structured study program to learn the 12 Tenets of KIFFLOM and the 12 goals of Epsilonism. Today was a joyous day for the Prophet, Thesis Dexter, Thesis Spencer and Initiate Isabel Johnson. After taking her to the top of the Mount Chilead for us to get as close to KIFFLOM as we can, we said a prayer for the city and for Isabel for them all to welcome the teachings of KIFFLOM! The very long day ended by a group of people approaching us at the car garage to hear us preach the gospel of KIFFLOM and promising to us they would pass on Prophet Mason's contact details to their friends. ____________________________ Leaked photograph of the Epsilon Program approved dialogue (script) (Remember everything here is OOC and using this information IC is reportable)
