  1. brilliant, would love to see you try this in an efficient way like is possible IRL :)
  2. I would love to see realistic pits and blocking in suspects, but it's impossible as there is no sync nor is it possible to pass a speeding criminal without them deviating course, or enough police to setup ahead of them creating a situation where this would work. there are also no slow pursuits where the police just chase a slow vehicle to the point they run out of fuel or start endangering people's lives prompting action. that is however something I would love to see happen and when I'm playing cop I usually try to follow someone for a while before taking action unless they are known suspects that prompt immediate action.
  3. account security is your own concern, the server was not compromised. Reset your password to a password you use for nothing else and enable 2-factor authentication
  4. wrong, houses and businesses can be sold if a script is run, but he'd still get the money for the sale
  5. Redirecting a single number to multiple people would be nice for companies I agree, additionally I’d like burner phones for which you need to buy credit at the grocery store.
  6. Would need to have screening in PD to choose the right footage ofcourse, and a clause for the journalists to not talk about what went down. Other than that I like this idea and it requires 0 scripting or server development. maybe discuss this in PD Command? Looks like Weazel would be on-board.
  7. or before you join a server, press P and you'll get the normal settings menu
  8. I believe inactive players already lose their house after 3 months if I’m not mistaken
  9. Mirrors and FOV increase would be a huge requirement and even then I wouldn't like it. I like the 3rd person aspect
  10. @SoloSmith I fully understand your point and I mostly agree. Except for where money makes criminals choose supercars to bait police because they're in the "endgame". The real problem there is that criminals have 0, yes 0, content. Using supercars exclusively for a gang is still FailRP imo but that is a different issue. I've been here since the end of March and I enjoy playing this server, probably too much seeing the hours I've spent on it. But in that time, it has cost me time (valuable to everyone right?) to get somewhere. If that progress is wiped then my character development is also halted, not to say rendered useless, which would be a shame for the RP in my opinion. Now character development isn't important to everyone, there are plenty of people who like to play (bad example, don't mean anyone specifically) a police officer that returns to work day in and day out without having any RP going on off-duty. That is fine, but I like developing my characters beyond that. That is why I believe if the economy is rebalanced there would need to be a formula where every player gets the money based on assets they had if a wipe of current assets is chosen. That formula would need to be fair for everyone and would therefor not change anyone's position in the economy, but instead give them a fair starting point in the rebalanced one.
  11. -1 I have too much time invested to support this idea. A wipe in itself is not a bad idea when the economy is rebalanced, but then all players should be reimbursed to the new balance so to keep the effort from before intact
  12. you get a notification when the call is accepted and you see a distance tracker in the bottom of your screen, isn't that pretty much it?
  13. Thanks for the opportunity to lead BayView and your support with the discord to this day. I hope you get to live the life you want in the new job and I’ll miss you as a valued member of the staff team and the server. Check back in with us at bayview discord every now and then. I promise to keep doing my utmost for the server I know you care for. By the way, I miss your old avatar InvalidSun Fixed it for ya. I'll be back eventually. I will still be talking to you guys in discord, as I will still have my phone :)
  14. that vehicle is already used. for anti-swimming it could be useful if people would RP (respond to /me and /do) For water pursuits it is useless as only the Marquis is slower than it.
  15. +1, no further explaining necessary. Prevents metagaming

  17. yes, longer, but offline as well. Totally agree with that
  18. Yes. In time teamspeak needs to go, but now is not that time, it’s way too unstable ingame to facilitate full ic radio. Any role player worth their salt will avoid mg to the best of their ability and otherwise others should call them out on it. Oh and yes, while playing a game I enjoy talking with friends OOC if there is no situation that calls to switch to full IC (TAC)
  19. As I claimed before: ramming unrealistically should be classed as fail rp. using very expensive cars to ram your way out of a blocked situation? fear rp, you would value your car or your life being crushed under a cruiser. Criminals need to know when to give up (drug effects are no reason to then pull suicide by cops to evade prison), police need to know what is realistic and what isn't, apart from that police indeed use protocols to control their power.
  20. good point, it is not clear in the penal code, but i believe it is handled as the drivers license if used, or at least always intended to be such
  21. When the tracking system came out I was heavily against it, because it could be spammed. Even though this was the case, one of the best experiences I had as a criminal, was when a detective silently rolled up when I was at a dead drop, a wanted man, not realizing I had a phone on me. He remained in his car and when I saw him I walked away slowly as to not attract unnecessary attention. I got caught, with my entire gang, except for the members that died in the following shootout. So even though I technically "lost" I still had great fun. Now I doubt that parking garage story of yours is something that really happened or something you're just throwing out there as a possible situation (I have not seen a detective use phone tracking on a fresh case without investigating for a while recently, and what criminal on Eclipse is spending his time hiding in a parking garage doing nothing) tl;dr: yes the system has its issues and needs finetuning in the future, but it gives RP and since the faction that can use the command has heavily toned down use and is I believe barely using it at all, there are more important things to work on right now.
  22. detectives ARE the only ones able to use it. And obviously they can use radio to relay the position, it's 2017. Also, I have not seen a single pursuit that was guided by a detective spamming the phone tracking, it simply does not happen. Detectives can set up a perimeter if they want to but I don't think that has happened before at all either.
