  1. Would be super cool to see a handling rework of the existing law enforcement vehicles to all have clear strengths and weaknesses. As it stands, what you've said is very accurate in that there are a small handful of vehicles that allow them to perform their job in a manner that doesn't allow every criminal to escape. Should they be able to catch every criminal with ease? No. They should, however, have an easier time doing so with a force that uses a variety of vehicles that are strong in their own areas. Seeing the interceptor have good handling and acceleration to fit its role would be awesome. The buffalo having a higher top speed is perfectly sensible. The scout should remain as is in its jack of all trades, master of none role, though could do with a very slight top speed reduction to better incentivize use of higher speed, lower handling vehicles; even just 5km/h would make all the difference. Overall, it would be very nice to see a rebalance across the board with each vehicle and its role in mind rather than just buffing older vehicles to be equally viable.
  2. $12
  3. Would work best with finite inventories & vehicles; i.e. you have to bring it from your locker room and load it into the vehicle which would solve the issue entirely. This is a nice temporary solution for the time being though.
  4. Please keep this thread civil. It's a suggestion for an item of clothing, not something to do with the ongoing war. Unnecessary responses have been removed. Those who further push this will have their comments removed and be issued a posting cooldown.
  5. This is a byproduct of adding the new haircuts due to how GTA handles hair styles and custom hair styles. The new hair styles do not have layers to support separate headwear and cannot be fixed by us. Locked & archived.

  7. As stated by BrainDed, all MDC updates take place after server restarts and will not be available until then. Archived.
  8. Hey @Charlie2231, We appreciate your effort to take an appropriate avenue to discuss this issue. While you may feel it's a fruitless endeavor, I can assure you that the faction leadership in the LSPD and LSSD factions do care about the roleplay standards being put forth by their members. You can leave feedback for people you have encounters with regarding LSSD's roleplay here and for LSPD's roleplay by sending a message to @MrSilky and/or @Pazz here on the forums. If a player is breaking the rules surrounding poor RP or powergaming, you are entitled to make a forum report with documentation of the suspected rulebreak. Please ensure that you read these rules prior to doing so, as roleplay you personally do not enjoy may not constitute a rulebreak. As others aren't able to provide the respect to your request of not turning it into an argument, we're going to be locking and archiving it.
  9. It functions this way and even better; anyone who interacts with it resets the timer.
  10. +1, makes sense.
  11. As this has brought on an unnecessary amount of negativity and will not be considered as a new speed cap, this will be archived. That being said, HSW has been being looked at since the update dropped. It is not being ignored and we aim to have it balanced with upcoming changes.
  12. Date and time (provide timezone): N/A Character name: N/A Does this issue appear again after a full game restart?: Yes. How many times did this issue appear for you?: Since lockable furniture doors were first added. Issue/bug you are reporting: Unlocked furniture doors act as locked if you've exited their draw distance and returned until you are close enough to see the WI. Unless this is done, they will continue to act as if they are static/locked objects. Expected behavior: Unlocked furniture doors should maintain an unlocked state regardless of whether or not you approach the WI. Evidence (MUST provide either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Unlock a furniture door, travel away from it, come back and attempt to drive through it before and after approaching the WI. If you pay close attention to the video, you will notice that I do not interact with the WI, I just approach it. https://streamable.com/x61bgq Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  13. What graphics mods are you using?
  14. Can you highlight the bug better please? It's not super clear what's supposed to be seen here.
  15. +1 Looks very cool! Smaller glyphs and whatnot would be needed to avoid clutter and eyesore, but this draft is definitely a good concept. Obviously also grant the ability to toggled it on/off.
  16. This example is an exact scenario of an issue that happened when we had IDs hidden unless willfully toggled on by the player. The compromise was putting them in their current state with the low opacity.
  17. IDs are used to identify players by staff and help immensely in doing so. They are not useless. If this were the case, they would not exist in their current state.
  18. ID being toggled off is not a good idea. This very easily allows players to avoid identification for the purpose of reports and was abused as such in the past.
  19. +1 gorillion would be an amazing QOL addition until a full menu rework could be done
  20. MONTHLY NEWSLETTER - AUGUST 2024 Welcome to the August edition of the ECLIPSE Roleplay monthly newsletter! Our goal with this newsletter is to give players a better look into our current focuses, recent changes, and a sneak-peek into upcoming developments. If you’re a member of our Discord server, you may notice that the focus of this month has been the long awaited clothing update, a full HUD overhaul, some new crim RP stuff, and other miscellaneous additions and fixes. If you want to get a full look at everything in detail, join the aforementioned Discord server and check out the development channel! New Clothing Models & Textures The clothing update has not only brought tons of missing base-game clothing, but also brought in tons of new custom clothing models. Some of the new models and textures are tributes to notable groups that have significantly contributed to the server’s culture and environment. New Store UI Those of you who have been with us before this update will know just how frustrating the old clothing store menu was. To assist with the release of hundreds of new items, the clothing store UI has been completely reworked. After all, what would a clothing overhaul be without a new clothing store UI? New Hairstyles To further assist you in being the drippiest you can be, we’ve added more than one hundred new hairstyles combined for both male and female character models. Faction Uniforms With all of the new custom clothing comes custom faction uniforms. Legal factions have had uniforms crafted for their specific ranks, divisions, and specific purposes within those divisions. This is not only for legal factions! Verified gangs who have earned a certain tier within the new faction management system will have custom clothing made for them and added to the server to show appreciation for all of their hard work. Inventory Names & Icons To save players the trouble of making spreadsheets of each of their clothing items in their closets, we’ve added names that were previously missing from most clothing items and added new inventory icons for them. Not every item has these set up for them quite yet, but we aim to remedy this as time goes on. Revamped Undershirts & Torsos Are you one of the countless victims of trying to craft a good suit in the old clothing store? Did you have to use a video tutorial so that your undershirt doesn’t turn into a crop-top where your arms are busting out of the sleeves? Fear no longer! Thanks to the hard work of Osvaldon and our staff team, we have manually gone through and assigned the proper torsos to all tops and undershirt combinations. Some of them may be missed here and there, so please be sure to let us know and we’ll get it fixed ASAP! Vehicle Information The vehicle HUD has received numerous changes, including a new speedometer (Thanks, @Thang!), an odometer, a numberless tachometer, your current gear, cruise control indicator, fuel indicator, and vehicle health being displayed by a check engine light that changes color based on level of damage. Character Status Steering away from the cluttered grouping of circles in the corner, we have relocated character information like health, armor, voice volume, hunger, and thirst in addition to moving them beneath the GPS. Icons will not display if they’re not needed; i.e. if you’re full and have no armor, those icons will not appear. Also, they’ve been turned into fancy hexagons! Radio Information Your current active radio frequency is now displayed as part of the HUD when you have a radio equipped. This will show when you’re speaking, when others are speaking, and if the radio is jammed. If someone is speaking near you but not on the radio, they’ll have a different icon next to their alias or ID as to remove any confusion. Ultrawide Support Ultrawide users rejoice! After a long time of having a wonky misaligned UI, we have gone through and made our UI functional with ultrawide aspect ratios to the best of our abilities. If you still encounter issues with your specific aspect ratio, please submit a bug report on the forums so we can get on it ASAP. Miscellaneous Changes Compass has been redone and moved to the top of the screen. Tooltip bar has been added to the left side of the screen to help acclimate new players to ECRP specific controls. This can be toggled off in the U menu. Banner notifications and online player list have been redesigned. ECRP watermark has been made smaller and positioned elsewhere. General Updates Weazel News and staff members are able to create posters out of images that can be displayed on flat surfaces with /createPoster and /removePoster. Custom phone numbers have been added to the credit store and are available on a “first come, first served” basis. Certain numbers have been reserved indefinitely, see the development channel in our Discord server for a full list. Players that are killed will enter a ragdoll state instead of the injured animation. Maximum legal weapon purchases before having to report as stolen has been raised from 2 to 10. Maximum legal ammunition purchases per day has been raised to 400. Ability to purchase a new license plate has been added to the DMV. License plate must first be reported as stolen before being able to purchase a new one. Vehicle cosmetic damage sync has been added. Car speakers may now be used in all vehicles. The context menu (Ctrl+X) has been updated to use a new Selection UI and has been limited in distance. Improved vehicle door state sync has been added, properly showing an open door, trunk, hood, etc. when it is supposed to be open. F5/help menu will now open the ECRP Wiki. BloodFX system has been reworked. /logout command has been disabled. You can relog by pressing F1 and connecting to the server. Phone status bar has been changed to black and given a new font. Criminal Updates Roughly 30 new interiors for labs and criminal activities have bene added. (Thanks, @Bala!) ATM robberies can now be done by hooking onto it with your vehicle and ripping it out of the wall. (Big credit to @Thang; thanks!) A crowbar and the new rope item is required to do this. Vehicle license plates can now be removed and attached to different vehicles. Vehicles now have an assigned VIN number. Removing wheels from a vehicle when chopping will actually remove the wheel instead of setting it into a “popped” state. This directly addresses the issue of chop vehicles repeatedly playing the tire popping sound. Legal Updates All legal factions, such as taxis and mechanics, have had the unit system added to them. This allows vehicles to be spawned and despawned properly without having to toggle your duty status. Fingerprint functionality has been added to more items. Faction vehicles are now only able to be parked at their designated parking locations. ECLIPSE Roleplay Wiki Have you noticed our new “wiki updates” channel in Discord? Your contributions make a difference! Von Crastenburg Hotel Gala Night Tonight, August 23rd at 8PM UTC, the owners of the Von Crastenburg Hotel cordially invite you and your friends for their 007 themed Gala Night! Attendees are expected to be dressed to the nines. They’ll be doing a raffle of three 007 themed vehicles. Make sure you don’t miss out! After all, they’ve been expecting you, Mr. Bond. LS Total Wipeout Saturday, August 31st at 8PM UTC, ECLIPSE’s very own event team will be hosting a wipeout competition where you and other players will race through an obstacle course to come out untouched. Be sure to attend and take part for a chance to win a 2 garage house! Von Crastenburg Hotel Gala Night After you’ve participated in wipeout, you’re probably going to be pretty exhausted. Closing Thank you for reading this month's newsletter. We've been working hard on making ECLIPSE Roleplay more enjoyable and fun to play at, and we are not stopping! 21. Showing exact headings would be nice for callouts and air navigation as well. +1
  22. This is a fantastic compromise between the current system and the alternative of forcing players into a hospital bed doing nothing for extended periods of time. This would be a great solution to the issue of people dropping each other off at the hospital only to return to combat areas. Rather than staff intervening, it introduces an in-character barrier. Love this idea. +1
  23. Date and time (provide timezone): 17/AUG/2024 09:00~UTC+0 Character name: Gordon Graves Does this issue appear again after full game restart?: Yes How many times did this issue appear for you?: Any time this window is used for the last few months. Issue/bug you are reporting: LS Bank's first teller window does not function when attempting to claim salary and instead spits out an error claiming I'm not in proximity of a teller window. Expected behavior: Be able to claim salary at the teller window. Works fine at second and third teller window as seen in second image. Evidence (MUST either photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Go up to the first teller window and attempt to claim salary. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  24. Fire idea always love new prison suggestions @Chunder
