  1. I concede defeat then
  2. Drug prices are illegal, it's a legal job.
  3. This is a very simple suggestion but I feel it would be convenient to have the ore prices accessible at the mining place like they are at the Foundry, so people will know before they enter the mine what the most profitable ore to get will be. People don't always think to look at the dropoff as they want to get in and out to avoid being robbed.
  4. I also think you could make a case for not being able to be released when the prison is closed to the public (same as bank times - closed from 10pm till 8am) unless a Corrections Officer allows it. That would give people an incentive to be well behaved in prison, because they want to get out on time. But then again, I feel like DOC should probably have the option to extend your original sentence by up to an hour if you commit more crimes in jail.
  5. Could be yeah!
  6. Yeah that does make sense
  7. I can understand the thought process behind adding the new hunger and thirst systems, as it adds a little more realism and also, people have to spend money on things other than cars and businesses make money. Rather than just complain, I'm offering some alternative solutions. However, this system as is fails on a fundamental level because it doesn't add to the roleplay, it takes away from it. You shouldn't have to suspend your roleplay with someone, because you need to go and eat/drink or you die. This is a suggestion forum so here are my proposed changes. You should have to drink every 6 IRL hours you spend in the server and eat every 12 IRL hours. Why? Because in real life, the human body can survive for weeks without food but not even nearly as long without water. This also on a practical level means you have to visit a store every couple of days if you don't stack up, since your average player plays like 2-3 hours per day. I'm fine with the health decrease, not fine with the quickness that the meters deplete. Assign all food and drink options a value for replenishment and post the values on the forums. Why? Because in all honesty, the system as it is is going to be confusing for less clued in players and you want players to focus on actually playing the game instead of trying to. Add in foods and/or drinks that replenish both, even if they are in unequal ways i.e. Oranges (it'd still give you more hunger back than thirst but it's full of juice, so it would give you some back) Why? Because it adds variety to the system and different items for different needs is a good thing. Add in the ability to force-feed people who are zip-tied or cuffed. Why? This hunger/thirst system is going to be a nightmare not just for cops and DOC who have a duty of care for prisoners/suspects but also for people kidnapping people. You shouldn't have to worry about a suspect dying on you when you are just doing your job, there are more important things to be worrying about. Same goes for kidnap victims, you can still maintain control of the situation and you don't need to go OOC asking them to eat or whatever. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Display someone's ID in a pale pink if they are low on hunger/thirsty/low health. Why? I know we have the limping animation, but first of all that doesn't work for hunger/thirst, only for health and also, if you are in a vehicle for example, you won't see it. The ID is obviously OOC but it would offer an indicator of visual signs that a person isn't feeling well and needs something. The more things visually we can show in the server, the better. OR Add in an Auto /ame every 5 minutes that shows that the person is hungry or thirsty Why? Again, the more you can see about another person, the more information it gives you to work with. 5 minutes wouldn't lead to too much spam, even with a lot of people around but would inform people interacting with that person that they aren't doing good. If someone was really thirsty they'd be asking you for nudes show signs of dehydration or if they were hungry, they'd show signs of hunger. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remove Cannibalism from the server. Why? I get this system was brought in to simulate real life a little more but then you have the ability to cook people and it just seems foolish. It's not a survival server and it's not DayZ, there's no apocalypse, it's just a regular day roleplaying server. If you give people the option to do stuff like this, they'll do it just because. Not because it fits their roleplay but because they think it's funny or because it's edgy. I'm sure there are cannibals out there in America, but not really that many. Cutting people up to dispose of bodies is great, but cooking them and eating them is too dumb. Add Saline IVs for the Medics Why? This will bring another element to medical roleplay in the server, allowing medics to treat patients with dehydration in a more realistic manner than just giving them a drink or whatever they have to hand. It's not going to heal them directly, but it would stop them from dying. Alter the Food/Drink Weight Depending on the Food/Drink Why? A burger or water bottle shouldn't weigh more than an AK, come on now. Being injured by gunshots would deplete your thirst. Why? When you're shot, your body starts losing blood (obviously) but also, the shock causes you to sweat and these things combined can lead to dehydration. It makes sense that it would impact you this way and combined with the Saline suggestion above, it would go nicely. Add in the Soda/Vending Machines as mini buyable businesses and allow you to get sodas and candy from them. Why? There are a lot of machines on the server and I think that for people that don't have millions to spend, that would like to own a business, it would be a cool idea for them to be able to dispense with sodas and candy bars. The candy bars and sodas aren't going to give you as much back as say burgers and white bottles, but they'll tidy you over or help you out if you need a quick boost. They would have a stock, that the owners would need to replenish. To replenish them, they'd have to go to the stores and either buy some packs of sodas or maybe like some candy bar bumper packs, go to their machines and fill them using a command.
  8. I see where you are going with this and I feel like if it were a server that took vehicles more seriously than just transport from A to B, I'd support it. It's a good suggestion, but I think it probably delves too deep for your average Eclipse player
  9. As a taxi driver, there are occasions when i'm the only one on duty and there are 3/4 calls waiting. Then there are also occasions when 3/4 drivers are on duty and no calls come in. I think that an compromise is that if there aren't two drivers on duty, then you can use them. Reason why is that 1 driver won't be able to serve 3 calls without one cancelling and also, there are very rarely more than 3/4 calls coming in at the same time so i think that it's balanced to give taxi drivers a purpose but also, to not limit players if no one is able to fulfill their transportation needs.

    Parking at bank...

Don't worry, the Illegal Parking Prevention Unit will see to this.
  11. Ehhhhh I'm not sure about that lmao but you can play it for yourself.
  12. The two hour limit for prison is perfectly acceptable when it comes to misdemeanors and the lesser felonies. No one wants to go to prison for 4 hours because you are a persistent speeder. However, I do seriously think that the developers should look at adding a higher limit to 5-6 hours if you have a serious felony pending on your character. I don't think we should just lock people away but there is less consequence of being caught so criminals are more brazen with their activities AND the investigation bureau in the PD are basically cucked in their duties because they spend longer building a case on someone than a person gets! For example, the Penal Code stipulates if you commit murder, your sentence is 300 minutes. That's 5 hours, but because of the cap, you'll only serve 2 at max.
  13. I think they should increase the max limit of low-end and increase the minimum limit of high end. Seeing vehicles like Brioso and Cheburek at High End kind of defeats the point. You go to Low End and it's hardly ever full. Don't need to increase space, just distribute the cars more.
  14. I'm a cop and more specifically, i'm someone that tends to either put a lot of vehicles into the impound or process people who are getting their vehicles out of the impound. The current Impounding system is in my opinion flawed. The wait times for the Impound can get ridiculous and to be honest, the vehicle release system is laborious for us as cops as well. But both the vehicle release system and the wait times are some what necessary. It's not just a way of enforcing better driving and more legal vehicle usage, it's also a way of catching criminals. Unfortunately though, when you go there with a tow truck and someone is wanted, you have to call for backup to get them to come to the Impound to arrest the person. What I think would make things easier is if Vehicles that are 'secure impounded' can be unimpounded without the need for a police officer. You would however be required to have a valid driving license. Secure impound is basically a free impound, usually used in situations where someone has stolen a car and used it in a crime. Vehicles that are full impounded would still require a police officer though, as quite often criminals have fines and charges on them that have to be dealt with. Not a big fan of letting criminals know if they are wanted or not, because it can be abused.
  15. Those Sandy Shores vibes.
  16. Appreciate the love boys.
  17. Kills the fun of the game when all the criminal factions are ALLIED with one another. As for armed robberies, you are holding a store owner up and stealing the money. That's YOUR choice. You are robbing someone and threatening their life in the process but you are complaining that we will use the wrath of god to bring you to justice so that you don't get away with it? Come on bro. That's like the people complaining about the speeding tickets, no one is forcing you to go over the speed limit or so far over the limit that you get a jail sentence. The role of a criminal at their most basic is to commit crimes to profit and evade capture from the authorities. The role of a police officer is protect innocents and bring those that commit crime to justice. You talk about blocking doors, why don't you have a look-out outside or a getaway driver? Police have the force matrix and we're not allowed to be corrupt IC or OOC without OOC authorisation and for good reason.
  18. I apologise ahead of time.
  19. "Hey, whats up." Exactly Jacob.
  20. I wanna start by saying that being able to participate in two factions at the same time is a good idea from the development team and it opens up some new possibilities for people to roleplay different stuff. However.. I'm of the opinion that having to add an ID after /f to talk is unnecessarily inconvenient. The majority of faction members are still likely only going to have one faction so having to specify which faction you want to talk is an obstruction to them, they see no benefit from it. So what's the solution? Add the ability to set a primary faction in the faction menu. Then you can just use /f and it will go to that faction's faction chat. If you want to talk in another faction's chat, you can do /f 2 text or /f2 and it'll send it to that. It would also mean for example, if you are a cop and a taxi driver, you can just switch primary factions and just use /f if that's what you wish.
  21. Think a compromise to encourage person to person roleplay would be a good idea, maybe like $75 cheaper than stores for the taco sellers and then they can charge what they want above that.
  22. You guys need jesus
  23. We go there when we are able to. Mechanics can't release vehicles as it's under police jurisdiction. I try to go there as much as possible but like Alex said, often times there is other more important things that require our attention. I don't however feel like we should be making money off the unimpounding because we're already paid very well and also, it might send the wrong message that we're impounding to profit. We're impounded because of parking offences and/or other crimes and it's a method of catching people.
