    Gang Wars

No, if you really want wars to be valuable as they used to be then the re-addition of turfs can help, but encouraging permanent KOS for the duration of the war will not help the roleplay quality but just decrease it by a massive extent. It wouldn't help the OOC relations between players either, and will most likely drop those relations by a ton, warranting more reports, false or not. Oh wait, what's that? There's already something like this on GTA! https://www.rockstargames.com/GTAOnline/
  2. First of all, there already are strict policies and rules regarding this. Second of all, sure, I have your number, what can I do with it? Text you for that Dukes you put on High-End? If you remove the feature, not only will it affect tracing which happens rarely than you'd expect, but a large part of the LSPD's tasks, including but not limited to finding stolen vehicles and contacting the owner(s), finding stolen firearms and contacting the owners and etcetera. If you truly have, file an IA report regarding the number, if its from unkown, you're more than welcome to ask a staff member so you may file an OOC IA report or even a forum report for not conducting faction duties. I find it hard to believe someone would do this without a valid cause, and I'm also sure that if you take action against it by looking for whoever did it and making sure you forward it to his superiors he will be punished accordingly.
  3. Sorry but what randoms traces are you talking about? I've never seen anyone "abuse" or "conduct random traces" in the LSPD, there is no benefit to it nor is it allowed. And quite surprisingly, I'm rather inclined to -1 this suggestion, the reason being to it is that RPly San Andreas is a police state, meaning that it wouldn't be that far fetched to imagine the government would have some sort of logs as to who bought what phone with what number. Even with this information, there is nothing I or almost any other member of the LSPD can do, we can text or call you sure, but at the end of the day the only people who can do anything with your number are members of IB, who have their own set protocols and procedures which to what I've heard, are taken seriously and strictly. On the other hand, I'd be totally down for something such as burner phones and whatnot, ones you could perhaps order through imports or simply buy from certain locations for a higher price than that of a standard phone which would have its own number, one that is not visible on the MDC while searching one's name.
  4. +1, epic suggestion!
  5. As far as I know, you can with any Senior Admin+'s permission.
  6. If you believe you were a victim of Fraud, Petty Theft or Grand Theft, feel free to file a Crime Report on the LSPD's public website! I heard they're currently open for reports! Give them a shot, I'm sure their fine Detectives can help you out in putting this man behind bars if he truly is guilty! (( Please remember this is an IC section, cut the insults or mentioning of NCZs, etcetera. ))

  9. So, if you've ever been arrested on the server, or had any involvement in the arrest itself, you know that all of the items taken from a player being arrested will usually end up being deleted through the despawning of a cruiser, RPly it will be placed in an evidence room and whatnot, but at the end of the day. All items, legal and illegal will be taken away most likely forever from the arrested player. Although in real life, the inmate's belongings are usually taken to a storage area usually referred to as "Intake & Release", where it is locked up in respective lockers/containers until the day or time the specific inmate is released at. My suggestion is that DOC, SD, or PD will be able to have a command usable at Bolingbroke, the command can be similar to this, /prisonstorage FNAME_LNAME which will open an inventory up, where the specific prisoner's belongings can be placed at. The script would then simply have that person's belongings spawn back on him when he is released from prison. Different volumes can be set up in different locations, for example, Mission Row and the Sheriffs Station can both have a storage volume for 20 Vol. per person, while Bolingbroke can have a storage Vol. of 50 per person. If an inmate also has a phone him, it can be RPly placed in the storage room as well, making the fact that you can't use phones in jail make more sense. To better show why I believe this command can be useful, imagine that the following situation is taking place: Jonathan_Mercer is arrested by 2 cops, while he does have an AK and an unlicensed pistol on him, which are taken due to obvious reasons. He also he 2 burgers, and a bag with 3 radios. As they bring him to Bolingbroke, they are able to hand him over to the guards which will take his belongings away and proceed to place him in jail, starting the prison time. Then, they'd be able to walk to a separate room in which the command can be accessible at, and RP placing Mercer's belongings in his own storage compartment, and can then do the command, /prisonstorage Jonathan_Mercer which would open the inventory up for that specific person's storage, a bag of sorts. They'd be able to place all of the legal belongings in it and then continue to RP the storage compartment as locked until the person's release. When the time comes and Mercer's released from prison, the items placed in the prison storage, Intake & Release or whatever you wish to call it as would spawn on him. I also believe this can pave the way for more roleplay opportunities, with corrupt Correctional Officers or Cops having the ability to take the belongings out of someone's prison storage for their own use and etcetera, Although putting themselves at risk of an investigation on where the belongings went to and etcetera. As well as less frustration when once's released from prison without anything on him, completely stranded until he gets a ride from someone on the highway.

  11. Osvaldon has already made a comment regarding this in a previous suggestion a few months ago. This is what was said then:
  12. I'll start off by saying this, PD doesn't know the import locations. When an import does come in, and we get the message telling us one is coming. We only get 1 message in chat saying something roughly like this. "[POLICE INFORMANT] A criminal weapons import is arriving at Paleto Bay in 50 minutes." We don't get any markers on the map, any further messages or etcetera. We simply get the message, a general location. (E.g Vespucci Canals, Los Santos International Airport or Grapseed). Now to this, you'd be surprised. But we've already been outsmarted. More than once. We've already had a few imports in which we're too late to catch the suspects, and when we do. They've already stashed the weapons away, meaning we cannot arrest them without solid proof. You want to outsmart us? Get a few vehicles, each one driving around the area to confuse us. You want to counter or prevent this? Get a small convoy going on, get some people in trucks or vans. Protect whoever is carrying the import by ramming us, blocking us or etcetera. There is RP going on. Everytime we receive a notification for an import, we group up. Usually send a detective to scout the area, get a few SWAT on standby. Get a helicopter up in the air to provide overwatch and useful information and etcetera. RP between PD and Criminals isn't extremely that high quality sometimes as I'm sure you know. I'm sure getting informants into gangs can help etcetera, but doing so. Might as well let us know about every import you order. The 5% chance was mainly made to stop tens of imports made by criminals every day, with people stockpiling on AKs and shotguns, something had to be done in the technical side of things to keep the server smooth and working and to prevent criminals constantly going around with heavies on their back without any fear to lose it. For this part, I'm going to ask you personally. Isn't criminal RP almost fully automated? Imports are automated, almost no roleplay. Drug labs are automated, almost no roleplay. Chop shops are automated, almost no roleplay. And sure, there is RP. But we all know criminal RP is not that good. Constant robberies on one another, forum and OOC wars and occasional massive rule breaks between one another. (Not saying this is only on the criminal side, I agree this happens on PD's side sometimes as well) No, I can tell you this now. We have no way of knowing where your house is located at. Nor do we raid it simply because we caught you importing illegal weaponry. We have our own protocol in regards to raiding houses which I don't know if I'm allowed to share or not, but I can assure you we don't raid houses this way. To sum this up, personally. I have mixed feelings about this. From one side, I want to -1 this. I agree with you in regards to automation, that this is a bit powergaming. (As criminals can't do anything in regards to it) On the other, I want to +1 this. As I believe the 5% chance (Which I personally believe isn't really 5%, but I have no way knowing exactly) is needed to prevent criminals stockpiling on massive stashes of AKs and shotguns. Adding a bit more value to weapons. Finally, I'll give this a +0. I simply wanted to clear things up from my point of view.

@rhiome You may ask him OOC'ly to leave you, if he continues to do so, you can report him for the following rule:
  14. I don't see exactly how closing the applications will help, if you do so. You'll still have the same wait times for everyone. And maybe even slower ones. The Staff Team and Quiz Team are both doing their best, and with these positions being completely voluntary, I don't see a reason to why people should complain that much. We are doing what we can, and at the end of the day. This is a game. Closing applications can result in more players simply getting upset and complaining on Discord or on the Forums to why applications are closed, it will also demotivate some people from even applying if applications would be open, due to how it'll be closed on first sight. We're reducing the amount of applications as much as we can, we don't want them to stay this high as they already are. Closing the applications won't help the backlog, as at the end of the day. It'll take us the same amount of time to view the already existing applications, and closing applications as a whole might even slow down the process of applying and joining ECRP due to how some people will have to wait for their application to be ready and sent, creating an even bigger backlog than we have now in the near future when applications re-open (If they will be closed).
  15. Ever since the latest update (2.4.0) thirst and hunger have been introduced and added into the server. While I understand the reason and goal of this feature, and how it's meant to overall increase Roleplay by making it more realistic for players to eat and drink to not simply "heal" themselves, I'm not sure about the exact times until the hunger and thirst meter take to go completely down without eating or drinking anything. But from what I can only assume, it is around 15 minutes (Don't quote me, I'm only assuming from personal experience). Which in my, and many others (from what I have seen) is extremely fast. An example I can give is this: Police are chasing a criminal around the map, the pursuit takes around 10 minutes. And eventually becomes a foot pursuit, which later becomes a shootout. Overall, the entire situation takes roughly around 30-40 minutes (And maybe more if you include the actual scene that PD will manage after everything has calm down, treating the suspects, cuffing and etcetera). Due to the fast rate in which the hunger and thirst meters go down, both the criminals who are being pursued and the police officers who are pursuing them will need to stop mid-way through, and stand still. Eating or drinking during the situation as a whole. Another example I can think about is a simple traffic stop, sometimes. These traffic stops take around 10-15 minutes, and it is very possible in one of these traffic or felony stops. A certain suspect or cop would already be in need of food or water. This means that if both parties don't want to ruin the RP in a very non-realistic way (The death of the officer, or suspect due to them not eating or drinking) they would both have to OOC'ly drink or eat midway through the RP in order to keep it going. Overall, I believe (So do many people I have spoken about the recent update with) that the speed in which your thirst and hunger meter go down should be much slower than it is now. Not too slow, yet not too fast. I would say that around 1-3 hours, or even 4 hours for your thirst and hunger meter to go down fully would be a fine amount of time. As it would not take priority over some RP situations, nor would it be too slow to completely ignore. I understand that this is a very recent and new update and that some things will be possibly changed. So I'd thought I'd make this suggestion to bring up the idea of this being changed as well.

  17. The LSPD Public Performance Survey's main goal is to receive some feedback from the general public. In the form of this questionnaire, the LSPD will be able to track down issues members of the public have, identify any potential mistakes we’re making and most importantly work out how we can better serve our community by continuing to protect and serve. The LSPD would appreciate if those willing to submit the questionnaire could please give us as much detailed feedback as possible, the main goal and purpose is that the Office of the Chief wishes to review the Los Santos Police Department from the view of the public, and accurately measure and identify the key metrics where we need to improve. All feedback is welcomed. In addition to the above, to show an appreciation to all citizens who take the time to complete this survey, we will be giving a cash prize to one lucky participant which will be selected at random of $55,000. (( We will completely ignore all troll comments made on this survey. We ask all who take part in this survey to provide answers in a respectful manner. As the survey will contain both IC and OOC sections, we ask you to answer as your character would in the IC sections. )) Message from Commander Lewis Langley, Bureau Coordinator of the Professional Standards Bureau and Commanding Officer of the Internal Affairs Division. "In an effort to serve the community and make all Los Santos and the state of San Andreas safer, we are requesting your assistance by providing the Los Santos Police Department with feedback about your experiences with the Los Santos Police Department. Your responses to the following questions will enable us to make better strategic and enforcement decisions about our policing approach. You may submit your response to this survey anonymously. 20. The post looks extremely good in my opinion, love the idea of owning a strip club as the faction's HQ/Business. Good luck!
  21. The problem is creating such a sub-forum can create an issue for moderators to track down possible metagaming and other rule breaches, the only languages I can imagine being used on a sub-forum are Lithuanian and perhaps Spanish. As these are the 2 most common languages other than English on the server. I'm not sure if we have any members of staff who are familiar with Spanish, yet even the ones who speak Lithuanian will have a tough time monitoring such a sub-forum on their own. I'll give this suggestion a -1 for now, and perhaps in the future when our community will grow a bit more. I can see this happening, but not for now.
