  1. If you go to city parking you can find several people that engage in pvp by going through people's trunks until a fight breaks out and then they stomp people out or run them over with cars. You don't need a gun, it's a mentality.
  2. DeAndre King has his own stash that would be affected, and he is still in favor of making the server better.
  3. this was addressed in the OP, NVE and other mods that are meant to make your game look better are fine no one is blowing out their brightness and cranking vibrance for "cool looks", they're doing it for an advantage in pvp at least be honest like harveyyy, its fine to disagree but shouldn't pretend its something its not
  4. because it shouldn't be a race all the way to the lowest possible denominator with some of these pessimistic replies we might as well remove RP, have factions turn into teams in a TDM game mode and call it a day.
  5. That might be related to who you associate with or what activities you do, I assure you that's not the norm, nor should it be.
  6. I am not talking about NVE or mods that make your game pretty. Anything that makes your game brighter than it's meant to be, anything that boosts color vibrance and any custom crosshairs should fall under unfair modifications. This would be a game rule, and therefore this would be a rule for ALL: cops, md, crims, legals. Allow me demonstrate what I'm talking about with a series of pictures. This is how my game (default gta, no mods) looks at night at Rooks Hotel. Now let's add some brightness to it, so that we can see in the shadows. But now it's a bit washed out, it's hard to tell what colors people are wearing, so let's add some digital vibrance. And in case we forgot how it looked at the start.. The only thing missing now is a crosshair in the center and I'm ready to.. roleplay? The fact that these kind of modifications are currently allowed on a roleplay server is an issue, in my opinion. "How can we enforce this?" Same way we do with people that remove shadows. If they post a video looking like this, they get a warning, second time they get banned. If they want to play with an advantage, they won't be able to report people without self-reporting. Either way we get less reports or less unfair advantages, win/win.
  7. All a criminal has to do is go inside an interior and he can never be found. Even if on the map, how are you going to find one person on the whole server? It wouldn't be the fun cat and mouse you imagine but more likely people trying to game the system with interiors or other areas where cops can't go like static criminal locations.
  8. The issue with this is that even if FM removes all imports from everyone today, there will still be a LOT of players that have dozens if not hundreds of guns available to use with no restriction. Either FM clamps down and there's a full stash wipe / mass decay system, or some sort of limit like the one OP suggests. Anything else is just not effective in our lifetimes.
  9. You shouldn't be in constant fights with all the gangs all the time, the fact that you can't imagine playing the server without a gun speaks to the issues in mentality there are at the moment.
  10. I can see the merits of it, I reckon there would be less shootouts at Legion Square if all they can use there are .50s
  11. I suggest you clearly outline what the suggestion is, probably with a bold font or a way to separate it from the story, as right now it's rather confusing.
  12. Yes, that's good, that's perfect! Because that means you need to maintain your relationship with the contact. Right now, you can get yourself 1000 guns, keep them, and for the next 12 months just do nothing but fight the whole server. What do you care? If weapons decayed, you'd need to maintain a contact constantly that allowed you to restock. It forced you to have a decent relationship with FM/FS and possibly other groups. Right now there is no incentive.
  13. All major conflicts back in those days happened because people got bored and it was time to push another faction out. It wasn't all bad, but let's not pretend or lie now, like six years later.
  14. Can you spell out more clearly what your suggestion is? Do you want the script to stop people from equipping heavies unless they're in a certain tier faction?
  15. this isn't for realism, this is so people with massive stashes still have an incentive to interact with the systems meant to moderate them, right now if you have a massive stash you have zero reason to listen to fm/fs, other gangs, or do anything but whatever you want.
  16. Whatever benefits it provides to law enforcement, it creates a situation where you have no incentive to do anything but PVP. It's like spawning in a CSGO DM server, you have unlimited guns and ammo, so you use them. If gangs needed other gangs to get weapons, or if they needed to be on good terms with FS to keep getting a steady stream of weapons, you'd find that they'd be much more receptive to diplomacy and less likely to shoot everyone. I can name at least ten criminal roleplayers that could never import another gun for the next six months and still have enough to shoot once a day. If you don't think that's a problem, or the sign of a flawed system on a roleplay server, we'll agree to disagree.
  17. Guns should decay aggressively in people's stashes. This means FS has more control over faction as they need to maintain at least a relationship with cartel or risk losing their weapons. As it stands, people with huge stashes have nothing to lose from fighting EVERYONE including staff. Cause even if you remove their imports, they got enough for years.
  18. I think people are providing half-solutions to their problems. A number of players have suggested that law enforcement no longer use pagers. Let's say that happens and pagers are banned today. What happens when a certain gang or another decides to shoot cops when there's only 6 cops connected to the server? National guard? Staff team on admin duty? FAAA with attack helicopters? What should be the thing that stops you from wiping all cops at that time? Unless you just want it to be nothing?
  19. I think that what you're saying is a good direction to perhaps go towards, but the implementation is wrong if you want to see any change before GTA VI. The vast majority of experienced criminals in official factions have extraordinary stashes that currently suffer no decay and no penalties for excessive hoarding. I know for a fact of at least several individuals that have over 100 class 2s and more than 50 body armors, them personally. So any changes like that would do nothing, this is assuming that they do not get any from robbing other people (which they do) as well. If you want to make a meaningful change, I think the realistic approach is to adjust law enforcement weapons to bring them back towards 2019 era loadouts, but also make all guns in the server decay aggressively, and lower import prices by at least 50%. This is to discourage stockpiling and encourage more cooperation with FM and maintaining good relations. Think about it, in the current environment someone could join a gang, like Rooks or Lost (only naming them cause they're the oldest), stick with them for a couple of months, stockpile hundreds of guns and thousands of bullets, then, go on a rampage with very little check and balances, because FM mainly use imports as a reward/repercussion. So then what is the incentive for <insert new gang name> to be on good terms with anyone or anything? It's zero. What if their guns only lasted for a week? Suddenly there is a strong incentive to have friendly organizations that supply them with stuff, and a good relationship with FM in order to eventually get that ability themselves. The current system directly goes against that, with guns as old as Zetas still being in circulation today.
  20. how many of those are connected when a certain gang decides to shoot up legion square at 2 AM UTC?
  21. 1. Cops can change it by becoming frozen scrolling through a long menu, taking a long time in a shootout while a crim can just drag a fresh body armor in the slot, instantly; the only downside is that they pay for it. 2/3. You misunderstood my post. It's not that you're not meant to win easily, you're not meant to win full stop. Winning for the criminals shooting the cops should be getting away, not successfully wiping all law enforcement on the server. If you start wiping DOC, there will be more factions called, because you simply shouldn't have that as your goal, and I don't understand how this is not already clear.
  22. I'll tell you what changed, you got what you asked for; gangs now have 200 AP readily available to them but cops only have 150 AP. Gang now have MG MK IIs and cops do not. Gangs are better armed and armored than cops, and guess what they do with that? they fight cops. Just like you said you wouldn't when you asked for cop loadout nerfs. If you don't want DOC to come, it'll be National Guard and if it's not National Guard, it'll be Air Force, whatever, the point is that you should not be able to routinely wipe all law enforcement on the server, as has been happening the past week or so. DOC doesn't just sit in their Kamachos ready to be called by PD/SD. They have to deploy, get in CERT loadouts and stuff. If you're still at the place where you wiped most of PD/SD 15 minutes later when DOC arrives. What are you doing? What are your goals? To just keep shooting until there's no one left to shoot?
  23. You can ask them to help you evade, they can drop off a bike for you, and it has been done before. The issue comes when you want them to shoot with you, and that's when it's no longer helping you evade, but helping you wipe all law enforcement on the server.
  24. Staying banned on ECRP is very hard, in fact, just from history I know several people that replied to this thread were banned and unbanned several times over. Any person that is never welcome back has done some proper questionable things like cheat or dox people. I would not want them back.
  25. The license automagically shows up in your pocket when the time expires, don't even have to do a command.
