Can confirm the same issue at old F&F

We have to very careful not to make false equivalences here. If that happened, you would have an obvious perpetrator and an obvious kidnapping situation. If Tom was in the passenger seat aiming a gun at your head, it probably would've ended very differently. This was you driving a wanted car by yourself away from where the wanted man parked it, effectively securing his escape. It's not comparable.

That isn't a fact either. There is a non-negligible amount of people working jobs such as DCC, LSC, Bayview, some for years now. Yes, they get robbed sometimes, but that doesn't mean there isn't an option. Especially in recent times, we've seen the inauguration of two new factions: LS Government, and Department of Corrections, which both bring legal jobs that aren't PD to the server. Not to mention LSEMS is always looking for members, and has been here for so long. Could there be more opportunities for civilians? Yes, however the way you take things to the extreme is not constructive. Especially the tangent you went on a post above, that started with "MG is seeded into PD" which is very insulting.

-1 The system is great to prevent NLR breaks from people either calling cops or going back to where they died. It's supposed to be inconvenient to die.

I feel that being asked to go along with another person's character in a roleplaying server is not asking for too much.
-
Because that's the whole concept behind roleplaying. Portraying a character. If you want to do ERP with a female character, you're not trying to ERP with the person behind the monitor, but the character. It shouldn't matter who is standing behind the screen. It's like saying "you sound too young to be a cop, so I'm moonwalking away from this arrest." That's the exact opposite of what roleplaying is about.

Big update. Hype. Thank you Developers!

Faction Suggestion: Federal Aviation Administration
alexalex303 replied to DeanThompson's topic in Implemented Suggestions
I definitively would be opposed to having a legal faction dedicated to this, as am I opposed to having jets ready to intercept civilian aircraft. -1 -
I can see the most expensive option being very expensive($100,000), and allowing real-time tracking but it should not make your car immune to being stolen. -1
-
It would kill DCC while not providing anything that CityBees or Taxis don't already do. -1

If you can break out of them in a relatively short amount of time, +1

EDIT: I stand corrected.

big -1 on the NCZ allowing crime. It will not create any quality roleplay. Imagine a gang member being arrested at the bank, when it's peak time, about 30 civilians at bank, 10 cops, and a shootout starts in the middle of that. It would be utter chaos. +1 on something being scripted, that would allow police to confiscate legal items, but that the person would be able to pick them up later from prison / police precinct. in any case, people should not be allowed in prison with them.

I like the new system because you can no longer metagame mask IDs. -1

The quality of roleplay, powergaming, and the usage of /do
alexalex303 replied to JasonG's topic in Archive
Before this turned into a fearRP/PD complaint thread, there were some interesting points about roleplaying without /do. I come from SAMP RP, and using /do like it's being used here would've had you laughed off the server. Roleplay just flowed naturally, without having to ask for resistance. In the case of a cop trying to cuff someone, it would go like this: /me reaches for the man's left arm, attempting to pull it behind his back at this point, if the guy wanted to resist, he could do /me attempts to pull his arm away, struggling against the officer whereas here, it's common place for it to go like this: /me reaches for the man's left arm, pulling it behind his back /do success? and if the guy wanted to resist, he'd be like /do I would try to stop you I personally highly prefer the /do-less variant, however when trying to use it, I received complaints in /b about powergaming, and frankly, I don't think a few people can change the way the entire server roleplays. For a change like this to occur, it would have to be wanted and enforced by the admin team, who seems to like the /do system. @JasonG- 30 replies
