  1. The draw distance needs to be adjusted. They pretty much materialize when you touch them, and they're immovable (unless picked up). +1
  2. The argument continues to be that it would be unrealistic. If you wish to claim that not having a court system, is unrealistic, I can agree with that, and I'd even support a suggestion to implement a court system for major cases. However, the answer is not to introduce even more unrealistic things, two wrongs don't make a right. The average criminal will have little to no knowledge of the exact procedures a police officer will do, and will often have very wrong ideas about what they can say or do, that's how we got popular common knowledge tropes like "undercover cops always have to say yes if you ask them if you're cops". You usually hire one or more highly trained individuals who spent most of their early life learning laws and regulations to defend you because you can't. There are some people that take this upon themselves, and even record videos of doing so on youtube, but if you look at the comments, most of the average people seem to disregard them as unusual, because it is just that unusual. However, I believe that if this suggestion were to be implemented, most if not all criminals will be "throwing the book" at cops during arrests, creating yet another unrealistic situation. In my opinion, the aim of server suggestions it to make the server objectively better, not to serve the interest of your character(s). If the suggestion you're making is self-admittedly unrealistic, but you somehow justify that by using other examples of less than realistic actions, then you should instead seek to correct those wrongs, rather than suggesting more wrongs.
  3. The issue is of scale. How many hardened criminals or life-long gang members do you think read the LAPD manual and quote it during situations? Maybe a few? if any. Whereas if this is made public on our server, every single criminal will pull out LAPD manual quotes whenever they get arrested. It will not be an opportunity for good role-play.
  4. -1 It would be unrealistic if every petty criminal in Los Santos would have an advanced understanding of police procedures, rules and regulations.
  5. I find the current speedometer to be great, simple and to the point. However, if other people wish to have a more aesthetically pleasing one, I'd be alright with that being an option. -1 for replacing the current one +1 for adding this one as an alternative option
  6. Hello. There is a team of volunteers who review applications and decide if you have enough knowledge of roleplay and our server rules before you are allowed to join the server. This is known as a whitelist, and isn't new for roleplaying games. The fact that you have roleplayed in other games will surely help you understand the basics such as IC and OOC, powergaming, and so on, however there are a number of very specific rules to our community such as No Crime Zones, Kill On Sight that you need to know if you wish to play here, and they might be the reason your application is getting denied. You should also avoid grouping yourself together with other friends, as each application is reviewed individually, and the performance of your friends has no bearing on your performance. 7. I believe the LSPD used to have a working armory, but it got removed after the extremely large amount of items made the server lag. Since all but very few confiscated items get re-used, I feel this is rather pointless, and they are better off being destroyed. -1
  8. It's possible that some of them might be worth more than some gas station, however this one in particular is in a desolate location. The one in Sandy Shores has many points of interest around it, so does the one in Paleto Bay. The rest of them are within city limits, but this one on route 68, is just desolate. You can draw a 1.5 km circle around it, and there will be not a single point of interest apart from Detective Gas. Now that GPS markers cost a small fortune to keep up, these are all things that you need to take into account.
  9. I've evaluated the store, and I believe an offer of $1,000,000 to be fair. Please let me know if you agree, and if so, how to move forward.
  10. Yeah! ex-vG in the house. Welcome! Be sure to DM me if you need help settling in.
  11. We've started this faction four months ago, and in a relatively short amount of time, compared to the older factions, received the honor of being representatives of the server by being named official. It's no secret that I have been less active recently, and that's because I've been slowly losing interest in illegal roleplay, but felt a duty to maintain it, because I started it, and so did @MarlboroRed, but today we decided to end it because illegal roleplay simply is not fun anymore, to us. There are some shout-outs that I'd like to give to some members that even though joined late, stayed loyal even when they were tested, specifically @Juvante Mathews and @King Polo. Last but not least, to the staff team that gave us the opportunity to be official; And a big shout-out to our latest admin liaisons @ElisabethC, @Archaeah and @Toby Vintage.
  12. Because you shouldn't be able to have your cake and eat it too. Either you scrap it and it has no plates, or you use it normally. -1
  13. -1 This is a new implementation and things will change around as needed. Allow the developers time to iron out kinks and refine the system. It's way too soon to suggest scrapping it entirely.
  14. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
  15. Weird feeling when you compare the few people from vG to all of the NGG people here. I wonder why vG people never made the switch.
  16. -1 This turns the reports into a fight, where each side tries to get the other into trouble as much as possible. The report should have an accuser, and a defender. If the reporters broke a rule, a separate report should be made.
  17. You are against increasing IC punishments for crime, you are against OOC punishments. I don't see any other realistic means of stopping this.
