I don't see the problem of being able to roll and possibly dodge a bullet as you're unable to shoot your weapon yourself. Also you're saying it's nearly impossible to hit someone that's rolling which is untrue. Also it is used to sync your character. Do you rather have people type /anim down to sync themselves when going in to a gunfight?
