You are all getting a bit confused as to the reason behind the suggestion, its not a reduction to be able to kill anyone more easily but to assist in an appropriate level of Fear RP. The only person who mentioned DM didn't even look at provided link and just commented blind.

In my opinion this is the norm and not the exception.

Watch the video in the first post, see him climb a ladder in a reign of gunfire with no fear for his life, what you're saying they are trained to do is the total opposite of what he did due to his OP Kevlar and no consequences to dying.

The original post is about lack of fearing for his life due to the heavy Kevlar, nobody mentioned anything about wanting to DM cops.

I think the IRL point cant always apply when it comes to cops. Its a game after all that means it needs balancing to be enjoyable and make cops RP appropriate ie not like in the above video using his Kevlar like an OP shield as he climbs a ladder with no fear of financial loss or jail-time as if he gets killed its very few negative effects for him. I think it may help if cops need to put a deposit down on the weapons they take out of the armory so if they get killed while on duty with them it will result in a financial garnishing of there wages and thus resulting in them not wanting to get killed.

Id go so far with present damage ratios that they only get 25% and SWAT maybe 50%. Pending weapon damage being fixed. Just watched the video--- Why is the cop not even taking notice of the men the ground with illegal AKs firing up at the rooftops? Considering he just rolled up on this situation and started to take the side of the people firing illegal weapons.....

Just give everyone 1 character for 3 or 4 months and see what happens. If there is no alt to hand money over too it won't be an issue. Some people have 4 characters transfering money around to each other which to me seems nuts.

This has happened me also recently. Try not moving until the environment spawns in, doesn't work all the time buts it's something.

Id agree with most of the points made by Andor, something as simple as having the Convenience Stores manned by real people when there is enough online would help if they werent kidnapped every ten seconds by people in super cars. Ive seen jobs such as bartenders , restaurants, etc recommended which would also be fun. But as Stephanie said some people are not creative enough to interact with people on any other level than run and gun. And id actually like to see the addition of actual chop shops like @Cooksley was trying to RP as it may deter people from driving super cars as their daily ramming drive if they can be taken and chopped up for money.

And everyone else was trying to get him.

Couldn't agree more, and not just because of the recent events. I would also like to add the recommendation that any paused RP that takes over X amount of time, say 15 minutes is clearly too complex of a situation to be dealt with IG and should be taken to the forums regardless of who is reporting. ie Paused RP of 1 hour 22 minutes for 10 people is insane which happened this week.

-1 @Dashingly and I were in the exact situation this week where we took a cops panic alarm but he meta gamed it anyway and asked for backup over teamspeak using no voice IG. So I think its really OP from a civs perspective. Its too open to abuse in my opinion also.
