funkop1 Posted January 5, 2020 Report Posted January 5, 2020 How cool would it be if wanted people would get bounties set by the police? When a wanted criminal stays out of the hands for x days, the department would set a reward on the mans head. Like 5-10K. This will give civilians a legit and fun way to make a living.
dawpi Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) It is very unlikely that a criminal will remain with charges for a large amount of days since IB and SWAT work together to catch those and clean the list, of course, such a suggestion would allow civilians to participate in enforcing the law, however, what if it's done not by the law? This idea itself requires more elaboration before it can be even discussed. At the moment, with what's suggested, -1. Edited January 6, 2020 by dawpi
JoeyPoppins Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 -1 I would rather like to see a hitman job.
Aldari Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 -1 There are essentially already ways of doing this. Many Detectives will pay money or offer financial reward for information on criminals, gangs etc. You can become an informant. You may not be able to arrest someone and take them to the station, but there is similar RP opportunities out there already to that.Â
Victor Einhart Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 "Bounties" in real life are enforced by bail bondsmen who collect people who have been released from jail pending their court date. They don't appear in court, the money they put up for bail becomes the payment the bail bondsman gets to retrieve them and haul them back to jail. Because we don't have a court system, there's no bail to be posted.
Drizzy. Posted January 7, 2020 Report Posted January 7, 2020 No need for bounty hunters. Already handled by SED/SWAT/IB. This would take away from their roleplay. -1
Xoza Posted January 8, 2020 Report Posted January 8, 2020 Hmm, I actually kind of like this idea... or even a way to provide information leading to the individual. Turn in your friends, get some cash.

JakeInnit_ Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 RP wise there is nothing stopping you. Obtain a weapon license, buy some zip ties from a store, get a group together and find a detective willing to pay for such a service. I dont believe there needs to be any script support for this. 1

As stated in this above quote, you can already do this you just need to find the opportunity to do so.
TheCactus Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 -1 We have enough people brandishing guns for unrealistic reasons. You could help police with info instead.
