lupicek Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Hello, I think that we can mostly agree that recently its insanely hard to play as crim, cops are getting vehicles that crims can´t get (for example Coquette D10), if there is a chase, there is for some reason 8 PD cars on one crim and I feel like there is more and more undercover cops, I do not see any realistic reason in it to have loads of PDs undercover. It would be atleast a bit balanced if PD would stick with undercover cruisers (buffalo etc.) since you still can tell by that it is PD but you need to pay alot more attention to it... the bad part about this that you can see PD and SD rolling around in random liveried personal cars like La Coureuse, pretending to be in a gang so you have no chance to even think of it might be PD. By me this could help to "balance" the extremly unbalanced situation between PD and crims Feel free to add anything to this topic, I would love to see you opinion 1 1 3
Marcus cousins Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Hugeeeee +1 it’s crazy how undercovers pull into a labs, once had one ask if they could cook with me and then a bunch swarmed in shut me down, makes the city a lot less enjoyable to be a crim 2
nigelowski Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Another +1 here. Personally as a crim I feel it’s way too unbalanced and has been for a while. id personally like to see a limit to how many PD can be clocked in at a given moment. 1

Clank Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 (edited) We should require PD to identify themselves as undercover cops when you ask them! this is a joke Edited July 21, 2024 by Clank 1 4
Benjamin Berg Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 -1 better ways to go about it than just removing/limiting something they have

HobGoblin Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 Just now, nigelowski said: Like? You would need to find out ICly.
Jett_J Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 "It would be atleast a bit balanced if PD would stick with undercover cruisers (buffalo etc.) since you still can tell by that it is PD." Hmmmmm... I highly doubt you'll get any LEO support with this reasoning tbh

Sigma Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 +1 if its an undercover cruiser have some kind of undercover markings on it just so we know its PD and stuff

Hmmmmm... I highly doubt you'll get any LEO support with this reasoning tbh Yeah u can tell that its PD only if u drive close to them and see the PD lights inside etc... having PD driving gang lookin cars and pretending to be another gang does not sound realistic to me tbf.
Cup Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 (edited) I think your confusing "unmarked" and "undercover" .... the entire point of an undercover car is that you dont know that its PD or SD. Also there are a lot of IC ways to deal with this imo already. Edited July 21, 2024 by Cup added stuff

THNDR Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 when cops are undercover irl, do they drive around in cars with visible LED lights and police computers? I don't think so (I know they don't). What happens when a detective is doing an undercover operation and has to drive there in a car with emergency lights, surely this will only limit roleplay. If we're looking to restrict undercover procedures to ensure criminal safety, why not add liveries to all pd cars? (this is a joke)

Charlie Mchoe Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 -1 I'm sure this can be fixed with changing the dm rules against undercover cops. If @HobGoblin is watching you at a lab you better go over there and kill him. or yknow actually use your brain and be cautious of every vehicle 2

moment Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 Once you gain experience you will know what to do eventually... you learn from mistakes not from nothing. TL:DR this whole topic is a skill issue. 1 1

Bala Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 +1, we must make it easier to tell if someone is police so it renders their undercover roleplay useless.

If you are not reporting this kind of behaviour then you are just as much the problem as the cop you alleged was doing it.
Quietthecutie Posted July 21, 2024 Report Posted July 21, 2024 as for the undercover cars complaint: See what @Cup says, there's a difference between unmarked and undercover and are checks to make sure theres a good ratio of all. As for the rest of the post its basically a bit of a salt mine. clearly you are not happy with playing crim right now but your post isnt helping. break down why you feel this way into individual issues, come up with ways to fix them, organise those thoughts into individual suggestions and throw them back up here. then we can actually discuss them.
