Toggle command for on-screen radio frequency

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I dont see the purpose of radio freq to be on screen. We have /myfreq if needed. Also now its an easy way to leak radio freq through player reports or pictures. How does other feel?

Edit: If this could be a toggle, it would be a great addition then, everyone would be happy 😉

Aha, so it is a benefit for PD since others cant log in your frequencies, but after someone from not PD posts a report, a picture or a video probably will get the radio infiltrated by the opposing enemies. I dont mind that it helps for PD, would be nice if that would be allowed only for PD though, to see the radiofreq on screen

People shouldn't be using OOC info but I do actually agree with you! +1 on this suggestion.

Huge +1 any public info creates severe limitation for footage / stream content. Every report / clip would introduce private information in which it's rightfully said "OOC information should not be used", but we all know that's not the case. I think this needs to be looked at and re-evaluated.

Requiring changing the freq every time someone streams / throws up a report with footage to ensure your channel is not breached through OOC means is exhausting, knowing that we cannot distribute frequencies through third party sources as criminals.

Editing a screenshot or video is very easy, a /togglehud could be introduced to counter this problem. This feature is waaaaaaay too good to be removed from a petty problem.

The reason this feature was introduced, as well as switching radio freqs and having predefined radios, is to counter in-character teamspeak usage.  The on-screen freq is to remind those of what radio you're currently on if to say LSPD were to have 10 channels.

This is a mediocre response, to say 'just edit the video to remove it' is not a reasonable expectation. Most people are not familiar with editing software, and just cut / past raw footage. To expect extra steps is just silly, sorry. Elaborate how it's 'way too good' by the way, as it's simply /myfreq, but up 24/7.. maybe the 2 seconds of typing was too much?

So it helps only one side, well putting the other at a potential major detriment? I could see how the logic benefits SADOC and PD, but I doubt criminals would agree, sorry. Perhaps give us different radios?

I believe the reason why the same radios are introduced is so players can intercept other faction radios rather than "exclusive frequencies" between Government and Criminal factions.  /togglehud will fix this issue and hide the freq information on-screen, it's better than removing a feature that has potential to benefit every faction/player when having multiple frequencies becomes a norm.

+1, the option to choose whether it's displayed or not is actually a great way to combat this issue, good suggestion.

Instead of suggestion its removal. Why not suggest a command to toggle it? This way the LSEMS, LSPD, and SADOC can use it.

All of you have complained about PD teamspeak. We made sonething so they cant use teamspeak anymore and it automaticly gets hate.

I suggest to get a command to toggle it:

+1 toggle (if you agree to a toggle)

this, as Resfiel mentioned before. Extremely strong adaption, to ensure both parties are happy.
