Just appeal your ban. I would rather have a smaller player base with quality individuals rather than a huge player base full of people who don't follow rules. A huge portion of banned people also used hacks and they never should be let back.

Also need to consider that 6-8 is scattered across the entire city (If PD and SD are sharing jurisdiction) People responding from the Blaine County area to a bank robbery in the city won't even make it on time.

Prison times should be halved in my opinion. The other day I witnessed someone get jailed for 8 hours. Having to spend 8 hours of game time in prison is crazy. Also yes some of the fines are expensive. The fines can go up to $15k for a single charge which is crippling especially for newer players. I have had people tell me that they can barely play since they just lose everything they have made when they go to jail.

Your FFA roast sessions have nothing to do with RP. Also you still don't understand the point. No one is saying ban cussing in general. GTA story mode also has nothing to do with RP. I don't want to spam this thread anymore so I'll leave at that.

Wow the point went wayyy over your head. I never said the word "p****" specifically should be banned but trolling people by calling them every single derogatory word before killing them contributes to a toxic culture within the crim community. If you feel like the only way you can RP with other people is by cursing them out then maybe you should consider GTA online or something else.

Not to single anyone out but most people replying to this thread saying "they are just words" and "you shouldn't get offended" are exactly the people this thread is directed at. It's pretty obvious when you down someone then troll them calling them "r*****" "P***y" "n****" before killing them that you aren't really contributing to the RP and just trying to make people emotional which causes the name calling to become a part of the culture. You can RP being a crim, gangster, or anything else without having to using every curse word you could think of. In my opinion there is a huge difference in quality of RP between people who can censor themselves and those who can't. I already know people would say "well people shouldn't get emotional over IC interactions" but the trolling and derogatory/racist insults pretty obviously go beyond IC especially when it starts being said in /b. You also don't know the person playing their character so when when you use derogatory words that target a specific group of people it can still affect them OOCly and make them not want to play anymore. In fact, I know someone who left the server because everyday people would call them transphobic slurs. Knowing how to control yourself ICly will make people respect you more both OOCly and ICly.

I agree it is hard to fix the whole cops dying and not losing their armor and guns but I'm not sure that it really is realistic to fix that either. If criminals could collect guns and armor off of dead cops then it would cause a huge problem with cop baiting to gain DM rights and ambush them. It would hyperinflate the amount of guns and armor out on the streets. IMO there already to more than enough illegal heavy guns out on the streets. One thing I don't agree about is the fear of death being irrelevant. The standards for RP are some of the strictest for PD and SD. We have IC and OOC rules that are implemented to cops don't unrealistically handle situations (For example you can't drive into a gang shootout with proper backup etc..). Also, everything in the inventory of a cop is accessible except for guns and armor and clothing that belongs to the faction load out.

Like someone already replied, the traffic check points do happen but not too often. They are definitely a fun experience and make the RP experience more immersive.

Driving with a suspended license is jail time. Cops don't just say "Eh we are gonna put this guy in jail for this long". Also of course the cops will request backup if the stop is leading to an arrest.

I would also disagree. Imo cop cars are balanced. They are faster than ordinary vehicles but slower than most super cars. The handling is already garbage on police cruisers and they have slow acceleration. About the super car chasing a mule. There are IC regulations within the departments that outline when super cars are to be deployed. The classes don't really work since police don't just spawn in a pursuit line. If some cops had to back off a pursuit and just let other units who have an "Acceptable cruiser" respond, then there would never be a pursuit to begin with since the crim would be long gone. I do understand your view on the amount of units allowed to pursue one vehicle, it can be pretty disheartening to be chased by the entire department.

1.There are regulations in the department manuals. Since weapons are locked on each character, that means they cant just put them in the gloves box/trunk of a cruiser. To take out a weapon you would have to go through the faction loadout menu (/fl) > choose weapons > choose the weapon. This would make heavy weapons useless as they are only deployed in high risk situations and by the time you have to do all that, you'll probably be dead. 2. It's pretty rare to see anyone get up and attempt to escape after being tased irl. Often time people never rp the effects of the taser and you can literally see them holding W and running in place waiting for the effect to wear out... Doesn't make sense. 3. The pitting is datable. There are IC rules about where and what type of vehicles are allowed to be pitted. If police couldn't pit at high speeds, chases would never end unless the driver crashes. And when they do crash, 99% of players from my experience do not RP the injuries of crashing at high speeds and they get out of the car and attempt to run away right away. 4. Cruisers are pretty balanced imo. Of course the cruisers will beat an ordinary vehicle in regards to speed but get dusted by most sports cars. They may have a medium-high top speed but depending on the type of cruiser they have awful acceleration and handling.

Agreed. Not to mention this awful new update with the low grip tires. Hakuchous are zooming on the highways going 240 and there is literally nothing we can do about it. I even had one go 230+ right by me on the highway and then drive into the wrong lane of travel right in front of me, but nothing I can do with a Police scout or crown vic even.

Police cruisers actually accelerate really slowly. We get dusted by an Elegy Retro, Issi sports, etc anyday. If you try to make any turn in a crown vic when going 210 you almost instantly will spin out. The breaks are also garbage so that makes it even more difficult.

An elegy retro is way better than any basic police cruiser (not talking about high speed). Yes a crown vic, police scout, etc will beat out an Elegy retro on a long straight but the handling/acceleration/breaking is incredibly poor compared to an Elegy. Not to mention an Elegy Retro Custom isn't even expensive yet it is still incredibly difficult to keep up with. Often times an Elegy will accelerate so fast that a police/sheriff cruiser loses visual almost instantly and they get away.

As well all know, Diamond Casino is a functional building that is capable of being perhaps the biggest socialization spot in Eclipse. But NOTHING has been done with it. I understand it is player owned but it is pretty obvious the person who owns it has no intention or is not capable of renovating the place so the community can enjoy it. I really think the government should take the casino back and financially compensate the owner for whatever he payed for it (if he/she is even around anymore) and auction it off to someone is actually able to get the place up and running. Or just don't make it private owned and have it be run by the government. Being limited to a poker table and slot machines is pretty boring and Diamond Casino is a beautiful building that will just make the Eclipse experience that much better.

I recently bought a Paragon but realized that its not my favorite car to drive. Any suggestions for good looking cars that can also go 200+? My budget would probably be up to 1 million so I can't afford any exotics.

People keep saying "he pointed his heavy at you first". That is a HUGE problem that exists on this server. People solely judge situations based off who pointed the gun first. What cop knowing he is alone would walk into a robbery not knowing how many people are there and how many guns there are. The cop obviously knows that his vest will shield his character from bullets because that's the game mechanic, but like the person who made this thread said, a headshot is a headshot, and no cops IRL would rush in knowing his vest can block a bullet to the chest. This wasn't just a "Poor IC judgement call" because he said that cop claimed his vest and SMG give him them edge in a shootout, but a shot to the vest realistically will always knock an officer off his feet because it is incredibly painful. It was bad RP and I think we should just recognize that and move on.

To be honest I'm not sure there is any suggestion that could fix it. In my opinion it just seems to be the behavior that the Eclipse community has adopted. I think it sprouts from money being really hard to make for the average person unless you put in the same amount of hours that a full-time employee does at an IRL job. Since everyone works really hard for the money they make, they don't want to lose their stuff (Now this isn't really relevant to this bank robbery exactly since PD doesn't really have to worry about losing their stuff), but it does lead to situations that happy constantly where people rule-play Fear RP rules or DM rules etc. to ensure they win. (Usually always trying to be the first to pull a gun knowing they can utilize FearRP and win the situation.) I don't believe this can be fixed because you can't simply "raise wages" because everything in eclipse is player-owned so the market will adjust to the inflation. It's just the way the server has been built.
