  1. I think someone asked about refueling during pursuits and I believe a Senior Mod clarified if you have lost the cops, you can refuel. Apparently this rule was created because back then you could refuel while sitting in your car. That refueling during a pursuit rule is out-of-date. I'm not a staff member though so feel free to correct me
  2. Not sure how it's pointless. It's an aesthetic change. Makes it more visually appealing. Do you prefer a random sprite that does not resemble anything over a sprite that looks good and actually resembles the item? I doubt some changes in images would have any noticeable effect on the server performance
  3. I was there too! I'm also happy with how it went in regards to honoring demands and giving you guys a fair shot.
  4. I haven't seen any bank camping at all at least on SD's side unless we suspicion there will be a robbery. And if someone is a camping a bank, there a methods to get them away from the bank.
  5. Yea those videos hurt to watch. That first video is insane how there was a kamacho attempting to stall the car first, then spikes, and then a personal supercar chasing you with a helicopter in the air. That is quite literally a 0% success rate. I hope PD has stopped using personal cars because that is rediciulous. Pulling out a T20 for every bank robbery that involves a car is incredibily BS. Coming from a LEO, I think shooting/ramming or doing anything else that makes it impossible for the robbers to be able to even drive off should just be outlawed ESPECIALLY if the individuals havent injured anybody. Personally i'm completely fine with robbers "winning" more if that means having a better experience overall. I gain nor lose anything regardless of the outcome and I hope all the other LEOs can agree with that. Another thing: Using the blue blockades to completely block the road also should not be allowed for situations like bank robberies because they're pretty buggy and everyone knows that. Yes they can break, but you have to be traveling very very slow in order for the blockade to not act like a brick wall.
  6. I was watching some old ecrp bank heist videos and I really enjoyed seeing the bank robberies with hostages and negotiations. The videos I watched specifically had really good negotiations and I could tell that everyone was enjoying it. Recently the meta seems to be get 10+ people in the bank, drain it within a few seconds, then everyone scrambles with BF400s. I completely understand why banks are done this way; hostage styled heists are much harder to lose the cops in. They require a much more thoughtout escape plan. I think both crims and LEOs can agree that it isn't exactly enjoyable the way banks are being done right since there really is no reaction between the two except for a possible pursuit (but pursuits arent exactly a unique experience). I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on how we could bring back the strong RP involved with doing bank heists and how to make it a fair experience for all.
  7. I wanted to make my own post regarding it because it doesn't seem we are getting a thumbs up or down from the dev team and I wanted to make a post with the way I would want it to be implemented rather than just a reply.
  8. Bump
  9. There should be purchasable repair kits that allow people to fixup stalled out cars. These kits could be purchased either from Bayview/LSC directly or just have them sold in any ordinary store. The kits could only be used if no mechanics are on duty. They could repair the car to ~350 health giving the person the ability to drive to the mechanics to get it fixed fully. The usage of these kits should have a timer just like many other things do in the server and they would be one time use. Too often there are broken down cars and bikes in the middle of the road or just broken down in random places and they will stay there for days on end. The current status of the mechanic factions right now aren't able to support the demand at which they are needed. At the time of this post, there are 65 players in the bayview and LSC faction combined and many of those who don't actually work the shop and do stuff to run the faction behind the scenes. I don't think this change would have any negative effects on the mechanic factions because they would only be able to be used if no mechanics are working. Some might argue that an ordinary person wouldn't have the knowledge to fix their car, but thats why I think the repair kits should only fix the car to ~350 hp because not everyone would be able to actually fully repair a car. Additional Note: RP would have to be required before using the repair kit just like /cpr command etc. This would help with immersion. If your character wouldn't know anything about fixing cars, you could RP pulling out a repair manual from your car or the repair kit itself and then RP following the instructions on the repair manual.
  10. Considering that when PITing you pretty much have to drive in front of them without hitting them on your screen to do it correctly I think desync is still as bad as it always has been. It's just an issue with RageMP. Then we also have to think about how pulling up records will work when people steal NPC cars. And then how would impounding these vehicles work. Also need to make a new system to delete all NPC vehicles which have been abandoned and broken down. Same with the NPCs themselves since people will definitely be pulling NPCs out of their car and killing them so there needs to be a despawning system for all this. There would be a lot of NRP NPC robberies/DMs constantly on the roads. Another issue comes with our tollbooth system. The NPCs would have to be able to pass through the toll booths somehow. Adding NPC vehicles would also take away a lot of RP oppurtunities. There would be no more checkpoints on the roads, spiking wouldnt be possible anymore without spiking NPC cars and PITing wouldn't really have any place anymore. Setting up scene management would most likely cause the NPCs to pile up on the road since they wont really be able to redirect.
  11. Our server isn't really designed to support NPCs. There would also be a lot of desync problems etc.
  12. here is an example I found off google: Each weapon can be distinguished by just look at its sprite rather than reading off the name Right now every weapon just looks like this:
  13. This has probably been suggested before, but I think it would be nice to add weapon sprites for the inventory. The black rectangular object is not very visually appealing and if each gun and melee weapon had its own sprite, they would be easier to distinguish faster and it would look more visually appealing. I'd assume this isn't a big task but I could be wrong.
  14. Isn't this exactly what the /cpr command does? If you pay for your medical license and do the course you have access to the /cpr command that extends the life of people in the downed state.
  15. The trackers work through GPS so if you just put a department issued GPS in your motorcycle then it would work.
  16. Am I wrong to say that roleplay is the who point of robbing a bank? Where is the fun in walking into a bank taking the money and leaving with no risk?
  17. Would it be better for us to sit in a parking lot doing nothing and getting "free money", or would it be better to have everyone not doing something respond to a traffic stop. Every legal job has down time where there is literally nothing to do and yes they are getting paid for doing nothing but IRL jobs have downtime as well where you can just sit around for a while. I also believe that the importance of money is very different when comparing legal characters to non-legal characters. Legal characters really only have use for money when buying a car or house while non-legal characters can buy cars, houses, drug tables, weapons, ingredients etc. A lot of freelance jobs can make you more money in an hour than a faction job. Every faction's salary starts at 5k an hour while I know I can make about 9k an hour doing bus driving in paleto. I would disagree which saying the RP experience is the same intensity whether or not a cop shows up. A big part of the experience is having a hostage, negotiating with law enforcement and having them chase you as you attempt to escape with the money you just got from the bank. Crims can still make "free money" because stores have no limitations when it comes to robbing them and there are plenty of stores in the server.
  18. It's still free money for nothing. How does it make sense to be able to do a bank heist with no response from law enforcement? Banks can give you a lot of money and it would cause too much money to be generated with no effort. And if your stance on this topic is that being able to rob banks shouldn't be dependent on the amount of cops then it shows you aren't interested about the roleplay involved with bank robberies, you care just care about making as much money as possible. The entire point of anything you do on this server is to enjoy the scenes.
  19. I said to get rid of the math not make it harder. Instead of asking you to do math just have the game prompt you to enter a number.
  20. Or just get rid of the math in general. I feel like being prompted to just type a number instead is better. For ex: /afk 2421
  21. My character doesn't even own a house so it wouldn't really work. Being able to log off and on in the locker room really doesn't affect anyone in a negative manner so I don't see an issue with it.
  22. +1 It also wouldn't really hurt the mechanic business because they only make money if they repair the car, in fact it would save their time and effort. I think there should also be like a 10 second timer for the animation of flipping the car.
