  1. The people that are justifying 200AP need a reality check and some fresh air. Pretty sure cops had less armour, less OP vehicles and a better mentality back in the council days, so I really don't see why cops need such a stupid amount of resources these days when the largest gangs can barely hit 40 members in F4. As stupid as the current setup is, it will never get changed, because this exact complaint comes up every few months and always gets ignored, so why bother. Air 1 is another huge issue and gets pulled for pretty much every chase that I've been in. I'd have no issue with it being pulled if it wasn't able to outlast a car's fuel tank, but once again it boils down to a lack of training, skill and co-ordination that no one gives a fuck to improve on so stupid shit like this will continue to exist.

    Cops 2 OP

Don't know why people still bother with these "PD is OP" posts when not a single one in the past 2 years lead to change. I agree with most things the crims on this post have said, but let's be honest, nothing will change.
  3. Big +1, think it's time to finally get this fixed
  4. Although it is pushing the server towards a higher RP standard, after several years of these rules not existing and ppl just robbing/shooting ppl constantly, you honestly cannot expect players to just all of a sudden stop doing what they enjoy most, and if you do think that you are just better off banning them off or handing out punishments then that is your choice, but as it can clearly be seen so many old and relatively new players either stop playing by their own choice or by being forcefully pushed out by having too many punishments. Now having been one of the players who just shoots, I would like to RP, but sadly when thinking of ways to get some deep RP going, there just doesn't appear to be a great platform for it when that is just not what players want, it is also not as easy to access and interactive RP such as alternative RP on house raids, etc. is kind of limited by players spamming /b or the script limiting the kind of RP we can do. All of what I said is not meant to be a dig into the hearts of staff or anything remotely close to that, it is just an honest opinion and my point of view on these rules and the overall RP standpoint of the server.
  5. From the very first moment this rule got introduced, I seen absolutely 0 benefits from this, it may seem that I’m only saying this because “I only play this server to shoot” but this is not the case, to put simply, this rule itself started a downhill trend of crim rp where people moan in forums about every little loss, such as a gps or radio, constant /b spam asking for reason for this and reason for that and somehow this actual ruleplay has gone unnoticed and continues each day. Another thing I’d like to mention and is all completely my opinion is that it just seems like all these new rules regarding NLR and NONrp robbery make ECRP a lawyer simulator where you need to be a lawyer with 30 years of experience to avoid getting punishments because you robbed a guy’s radio to get a rival gang’s frequency for “no reason”. Now I understand that roleplay is the key feature of ECRP, but can someone come out and without lying to themselves say that the current state of the server is fine and that Eclipse Roleplay has not instead turned into Eclipse Ruleplay where people just want to win every situation and have forgotten the main concept of gaming itself, which is to have fun. All these toxic and pointless reports don’t solve a single thing and instead do the opposite by making people scared to have fun and enjoy thr game since they’re sitting on their 5th nonrp and are afraid that they’ll get banned and lose the hundreds or even thousands of hours of effort due to robbing a rival gang member in front of imaginary people that would “realistically” be there. To conclude, I’m sure that I speak for a large majority of the community when I say that we don’t get on our computers to log into ECRP and be scared of ruleplayer #164 named Jimmy that reports for losing a GPS, and instead log on to have fun in our free time. All of what I just said is not meant to be taken as toxic in any way shape or form and I just wanted to give my honest opinion in the hopes that staff will hear our cries for a chance to co-operatively work on a better and more user-friendly set of rules and the betterment of our community.
  6. Yeah, i do understand but where does that stem from, the rules that makes them feel invincible, if the rules were actually how most of us would want them then I don't really see how they would be ruleplayed, like I said another rule would add even more ruleplay and reports which makes it kind of pointless, easier solution would be to actually rework the rules to the community's liking.
  7. We don't need another rule regulating other rules, we need these rules to be realistic and how the community actually wants them instead of unrealistic rules that no one likes and get ruleplayed in every situation. Adding another rule regarding other rules would just introduce more grey areas and ironically, more ruleplay, instead I suggest the rules that get ruleplayed most, get reworked to the point where ruleplay is almost impossible, for example, removal of the player theft rule between criminals as it simply just floods the chat with /b reported every time u rob anyone and causes staleness of the crim life as well as wasting staff and player time on silly reports over .50cals. Another example would be the demands (allow us to give them from cars again and at a decent speed), which would also prevent ruleplay of the player theft rule by allowing us to somewhat choose the location of where the fight will occur instead of waiting for the driver to stall with a possibility of it being a highly populated area.
  8. This cycle will always be funny to me as you guys ask for it, then talk shit and try to clap, and in a week or so make forum posts like these. What I would suggest is look back at the history and see how other gangs ended up when fighting council and learn from their mistakes. Remember, IC actions have IC consequences.
  9. +1, don't see any use for this feature apart from people using it to MG numbers
  10. Because this is a game and is a point u seem to have missed, there’s a lot of shit in this server that isn’t realistic and i think i speak for most of the server population when i say that we didnt come to play a life simulator. So since u suggested gta online for us, i’ll suggest something for you, if you want realism, go outside.
  11. I agree with not being able to rob at clothing stores, etc., but with the current ruleset we have to wait for night time to even go out and do something and even at night time it is apparently not realistic, so where do we draw the line to this rule which just shits on crim RP and gets abused daily by criminals in almost every situation, since as soon as you even touch someone, you will get called out in /b and it just completely ruins the experience. Don't know about others but the server used to be way more enjoyable as there was actually something to do apart from cooking, nowadays with the changes to the drug system, public labs have been abandoned and there are very limited opportunities for criminal RP, making it almost a waste of time to play as a criminal as most of the day you will drive around looking for any possible interaction or just cook all day.
  12. Big +1. Personally I don’t see a real reason to why heavy weapon supply is limited when we have to pay for our heavy guns and risk jail time and all PD has to do is go to their cruisers and just spawn one in.
