  1. The bad part is having to ask OOCly for ooc permissions if u want to engage in that kind of RP
  2. Trust me if you feel that way ur just not doing it right
  3. If only he knew the days u can give demands from a car if going below 80 then blast em
  4. Here’s how to stop abuse for it : only allow players to loot cops with a command such as /loot - works the exact same way as /frisk for a cop ; but with /frisk you are unable to take the weapons , and make a faction / server rule where no cop is to ever allow /lootapprove (similar to frisk approve) unless it was proper rp ( for example a cop pulls into a chop shop , gets held up - or a cop running after someone into an alleyway then gets put under fear rp where his gun / radio / tazer are RPly taken
  5. Glad to take part of this rp , love it
  6. I still believe human meat was ONLY removed for the sole reason of a few new players abusing it by farming it after respawn, this did not help RP in any way - the only thing it did was make something that was aight become pretty useless, and i believe the script should have prevented this abuse rather than removal of the feature as a whole
  7. this wont give more reasons to cops, it will give cops more reasons to be fearful and actually do not engage in anything that endangers their life and would add a little balance to how op PD is currently, and will encourage more "Passive RP" like AlexAlex said for them ,and you wont see a cop trying to gang up on 4 armed people anymore - a counter suggestion would be limiting the daily weapons a cop can take
  8. Being part of a big gang myself, at this point I support anything that brings more crim RP to the server, some ppl on my suggestion thread said crims will always be biased towards their own interest, however directly this is against my personal interest but I def support it 100% since it brings more RP to solo criminals + myself since if intercepted will result into RP from my end, and gangs will keep an eye on who's talking to their dealers etc and over all crims will have more player to player interactions between each other, whether someone is caught overstepping and dealing with someone on a turf that's not their own, or they get away with it and a drop is intercepted etc. Overall it would improve RP for small time criminals, and also bring new opportunities to the bigger ones
  9. good shit guys
  10. +1
  11. I don’t think the removal of the human meat being unsellable was necessary; I’ve seen ban appeals of new players abusing it ; but I don’t think certain rulebreakers should just cause the removal of such a feature; maybe make it so you can’t be harvested if you’ve died in x time, preventing that abuse of respawn gut cycle
  12. Much love
  13. I’ll say this again, I’m not discouraging heavy rp, or shootouts / chases (action rp like alex said) , neither am I encouraging them - but let’s not forget this is a game and again Eclipse is where it’s at today and the majority of the people here for a long time are there because of those fun moments, right now unfortunately it’s the sad truth but you see more ruleplay and script usage solely , than actual roleplay there’s also a huge difference between hearing someone and listening to them, yeah people post suggestions / discussion threads and they get heard sometimes but how often are they actually listened to? Take @Copperhorse thread for example about balancing the risk reward factor between crims to PD, no real feedback from higher staff was given, and it was turning to a PD vs Crim for a second, then back to the main discussion, with no actual feedback / response from the people in charge of the issue even though the majority of the community would agree and it made perfect sense to have this rule balanced out.
  14. Maybe make it so fishing is faster when u fish on a boat
  15. I do agree with some of the changes but to comment on what @alexalex303 said, eclipse is where it is at today because of some of those fun moments that are rarely occurring now, and like @Bala said, A LOT of those changes unfortunately promoted Ruleplay and it roleplay. Immersion is totally ruined it and as Bala said “ you question yourself before doing anything” for IC actions thay make RP sense due to ooc repercussions
  16. +1 I'd like seeing a script supported system to prevent vehicle thefts resulting from crashes , or at least automatically have an admin marker that says player has crashed then gets deleted upon return to prevent abuse of the whole unable to steal thing
  17. +1,. agreed on 100% i dont think its nonrp to lean forward as irl you are kinda forced to if ur going at very high speed unless you wanna deal with great air resistance
  18. I appreciate your response but you're thinking too deep into it, pier parking [petition] was an IC issue that got handled ICly, I am talking about maybe a committee of players representing sections of the community as a whole, using polls was just an example, however the MAIN suggestion in place here is to increase the magnitude and importance of the players' opinions, for example I believe Lewis would have an idea since he was part of NGRP's staff on NGRP, on how there was a gang commission directly being involved with staff on what should be added / revamped with gang / criminal aspects of the server, and community meetings were held every once in a while on teamspeak and overall the community's involvement was more important, and whatever method used or platform used, the aim here is to involve the community more into future rule / system updates.. Since you used pier parking as an example, I'll use drug labs.. I won't speak for everyone but so far every crim has complained about how labs are dead now and provide minimum crim RP compared to how they were, and multiple forum posts are being made up until this day to fix it but yea.
  19. Since lots of the higher ranking staff members heavily disagree with reintroducing the 2 hour prison cap, maybe a % reduction of your sentence depending on how many prisoners + guards are online would be a good improvement, for instance if i have a 4 hour sentence and there's 0 guards and 1 AFK prisoner on line, I don't believe its proper to server the complete 4 hour sentence because at that point it does become an OOC punishment, with 0 roleplay unless you wanna roleplay /me's and /do's by yourself which I don't think would interest anyone.
  20. Gonna make this as brief and short, and please either provide healthy / constructive feedback, or none to this matter, my suggestion here is to involve the community, and your regular player who's been playing this server everyday for x amount of time, to be involved in decision making for rule updates, and feature updates, after all this is a gaming community, metaphorically similar to a beehive, and we all know there can't be a beehive with no bees.. I believe it would drastically improve this community in a positive way if for example, polls were to be made, every once in a while in regards to new updates, or rule changes, and overall the voice of the community as a WHOLE, had a say in what changes, what stays, because at the end this is a game everyone wants to enjoy and it's your everyday player getting affected by major changes to the server, I really believe that involving the community as a whole would just make the server a better place for every one, staff would get less reports / complaints, and your average player will get to enjoy the game more, now this is not to undermine staff's perspective on things but we are all humans, and some things can be opinionated rather than factual sometimes, and what's actually better to actually act on an opinion? Other than the opinion of the majority of the server's players ??.. Maybe if you believe forum polls would not work as not everyone will be participating, do something like the TP menu you get when server restart where a player in-game gets to answer a quick poll and have those polls [with results] showing in panel, for example lets hypothetically say lots of player want to see adjustment of the NLR rule, send a quick MCQ questionnaire on how you'd like to see this rule adjusted / improved , maybe even short questions and actually ACT on those, now I'm not saying the server should just be a democracy run by the voices of its players completely, however I really believe having heavy community involvement in major rules / updates, will do nothing but benefit everyone playing.
  21. the bigger issue is you could be at war with someone but its not "Official war" and they can do whatever and just go sit at parking and this rule just acts like a shield which some people abuse in scenarios where the other person would be shot on the spot, that applies to some civilians as well, getting into extremely hostile RP then sitting at pier saying "I know you cant do anything here" and it ruins RP
  22. The amount of encounters where people use those robbery rules for protection is increasing and something needs to Be done about
  23. if this suggestion was there to improve Roleplay, and not just to help finances,. I'd suggest the following : reduce prison by a certain % depending on how many players are inside the prison [guards and prisoners] - so If I am going in to prison and there's 1 prisoner (most likely AFK) and 0 guards.. this is 100% a situation where I would not be able to do ANY Roleplay, so if the RP aspect was the one to improve here I'd suggest something like that, since prison cap time is always rejected, reduce a % based on prison's activity since less players there = less RP. In terms of finances +1 on reducing fines for non-wealthy players but keep it the same for wealthier ones
