+1 Lifeinvader would be nice for this as other suggestions have mentioned, but until then at the very least revert it to the old system. Being able to run your own little thread that you update with new vehicles, listings, etc.. was cool. Now everything is a huge blob of houses mixed with cars mixed with job listings, no replies are possible or bumping.

I believe several others have already pointed out, there is currently no way to be on two radios at the same time. If PD/SD/DOC/MD were to follow what you laid out, then they would be cut off from the main channel, being unable to respond to other calls, adapt to situations, etc... That is the difference. Using TS allows them to be in a dedicated channel for specific situations while still allowing them to listen to the main in-game radio. Listen, in all seriousness. When coming up with these suggestions you have to keep in mind the benefit of the suggestion and the work needed to implement it and I fail to see any benefit that would come from this, especially since the main point of it was to curb/stop metagaming by these factions, which isn't an issue.
-
I'm fairly certain (anyone with Law Enforcement experience feel free to correct), that Police usually have one hand-held radio (usually on their vest) + whatever vehicle radio they have, this is also supported by dispatch which I assume can come into certain dedicated frequencies if the need arises to recall certain units and redirect them to wherever they are needed. In eclipse we don't have dispatch nor do we have the ability to hold multiple radios or have a hand-held + car radio, making TS a necessity.

It's always telling when people go on the suggestions or discussion threads making wild and baseless claims, you would look so good and validated if you managed to show all these various metagaming reports regarding TeamSpeak, but you can't cause they likely don't exist or they are few and far between which is why you have to resort to ''JuST LoOK iT UP''
-
-1 Anything that can be done in TS could just be done in discord with no direct supervision from any sort of staff member. Furthermore, do we have evidence this is a widespread issue ? ''Teamspeak is the main culprit for much of the metagaming issues with PD/SD'' Proof ? Two Scenarios: 1 - People metagame in the TAC channels, in which case they have a ton of other people in there (some of which are bound to be staff) to call them out/punish them 2 - People metagame in the private channels, in which case they would likely still do it on another platform outside of teamspeak, just like every single player on this server can via Discord/Skype/Mumble, etc...

Elections, Politics & Government Structure
Cyrus Raven replied to Astrox's topic in Game Suggestions
One thing I really enjoyed with old school SAMP servers was all the inner politics of so many different factions, we had judicial system, air force, national guard, PD, SD, NOOSE, FBI, MD, FD, Government etc... (This also applied heavly to the Civilian and Criminal organizations, but I wasn't involved in those so much) I also think with a well structured and thought out Political system combined with an enhancement script wise for businesses and business creation (buying properties, setting vehicle spawn points, designating business vehicles, business bank account, F4 style menu to hire/fire, demotion/promotion and overall business permissions) could lead to a substantial amount of RP, moving away from the ever increasing ''cops vs robbers'' state that (I think) has been going on for a while. Perhaps my biggest worry would be initiative. We've seen these sorts of things talked about a ton of times, but nothing ever gets done. This needs real initiative from the owner side of things. Like: Long-Term plan (AKA What we want to see) A timeline (AKA this is when we want this done by) A plan (AKA X,Y and Z person is in charge of making this happen, applications to help develop open up) Communication (AKA Letting people know through regular updates what is the status of the project/ road-map) Execution (Assuming all other points are followed, deliver the intended project in the time stipulated)- 71 replies

-1 I'm fairly certain the staff/owners want to move away from vehicles that go 240km/h, not make them readily available. What should be a focus is giving more assets/vehicles for people to spend their money on. For example: For 2021 they could look to auction 1/2 supers every month until the end of 2021, giving players something to look forward to.
-
This point was made to directly refute your statement ''I haven't met one PD member interested in RP at all or so it seems. They all think its just pointing guns and chases and they cry OOCly every time they lose.'' In other words, claiming PD ''think its just pointing guns and chases'' is factually wrong, proven by the fact that most of these players spend a large amount of time in their roleplay, both in-game and through the government website in form of paperwork, crime reports, impound reports, etc... I do not care to engage with any points you have when you can't even stick to the facts when trying to critique an entire segment of the player base. Likewise, I wouldn't expect anyone to take me or anyone else seriously if I replied to a thread about the state of criminal RP saying ''All criminals want is to drive supers and shoot people'' instead of giving a well thought out reply, at a certain point you are so far removed from reality that the better option is to brush aside your opinion and move on.
-
No offense man, but you're clearly talking out of your ass. If you knew the amount of paperwork people in PD/SD do you wouldn't be saying they don't care about RP. There are even some people which get memed on for just doing paperwork, if you think that ''They all think its just pointing guns and chases and they cry OOCly every time they lose.'' then it very easly tells me to disregard whatever opinion you have on any matter regarding law enforcement, not because of any personal reasons, but because you're just factually wrong.
-
I will say, my only complaint with 1.1 is player render distance, specifically when driving. I don't like how I can't see players until they are very close to me and if both players are moving from opposite directions towards each other at high-speeds sometimes they render right on top of me. Example: https://streamable.com/2n67cw

That was my thinking with the message board option. On the surface everyone can use it, but through extensive RP people might use it for illegal deals and communication with code words that are decided IC, Law Enforcement would have to crack this if they want to figure out what is being said.

Ever since the launch of Lifeinvader as a social media platform for players it has slowly died down, only a few people still actively post and participate. While I had hopes traffic would increase out of player's own initiative it sadly doesn't seem to be the case. Therefore I suggest the following. - Move the advertisement section of the forums to Lifeinvader, any people looking to sell/buy vehicles, houses, items, properties would post there. Equally, any adverts about events and other non-material things would also be advertised there, This would have to come with something similar to facebook market place to make it actually feel like a proper advertisement section. - City message board: Implement a message board like feature where people can chat in real time, whether it is meeting new people, an alternative place to buy/sell stuff or a place to allow criminals to pass on secret messages, this would allow people to chat about well, anything. (absent any rule breaks, meta gaming, etc...). This could also give law enforcement another thing to keep an eye out for, gather clues, etc... - Make the app log in persistent and notifications integrated into chat/phone. If someone logs into LifeInvader in-game they should be able to retain this log-in without having to sign-in every time. Secondly, if someone comments/likes/posts (assuming you follow someone), have a sound/ping/notification on phone/notification in chat go off, keeping people engaged in the app. These are just a few brain storm ideas, I'm sure people have plenty of other ideas on how to better use and revitalize this interesting social media platform. Feel free to share them bellow!

Good luck, liking the faction thread so far!

+1 Mechanics will always be needed, either for mods or for full on repairs. A toolkit that can be used with proper training would be a cool idea to see and would hopefully ease the need to constantly call a tow truck, allowing cars to be repaired to a minimal running level and then havig to be taken to a mechanic shop for a full fix.

-1 I don't think there is any issue with how alias works at the moment. I do think that they should severally reduce the range that it displays at. So unless you are extremely close (quite literally face to face) the person's ID is the only thing that shows up, then once you are closer and provided they don't have a mask, the alias will display.

To add onto the suggestion. Perhaps add a /hidegun command, allowing people to hide any weapon (besides .50 and heavy weapons) on them. The downside would be that when you select the weapon to withdraw it, an action timer would play before the withdrawal animations plays, adding a few seconds into the mix before someone can start shooting someone else.

To be fair, people bought vehicles that are good and accessible to them IC. If owning these types of vehicles wasn't intended they should cost a lot more via import price changes. I agree with others that seeing gangs using sports bike and cars all the time is not realistic, but why were they able to aquire these vehicles in the first place? Why weren't these vehicles priced higher, why didn't import prices for these change as the economy became more inflated over time? At this point might as well reset the economy, adjust prices to what was intended, forcing people who want to RP a life of crime into buying cars that fit not only their backstory, but their financial status. Breaking vehicles on purpose just seems weird. I'm fairly certain a wheelchair rides better than the drag in its current state. Not to mention it doesn't fix the "meta vehicles" trend that exists, there will always be the next best thing and I doubt the best course of action is to nerf them as they pop up.

Most times these questions are asked as a way to trick you into lying if cops already know the answer or gathering information. All of this is available info even for IRL purposes. Cops don't ask "do you know how fast you were going" or "Do you know why I pulled you over" to be nice, they do it to see if they can get some information they might not have from you. Similarly, they might ask questions they know the answer too like "Do you have a gun on you or in the car", knowing you have one, not only giving them further reason to search you, but also allowing them to add further charges if they feel like it. (Example: Providing false information) My point is, if you're getting pulled over it is almost always for a reason, whether it's for a traffic offense or another law that you have broke. Trick is to get ahead of them, don't use gang colors, don't walk around with guns, change clothes and vehicles often, especially if involved in crimes, etc... You aren't suppose to get off scott free in this server with criminal activity, this applies ten fold if you are a seasoned criminal with a large record.

Performance is an IC issue and a common IRL factor when purchasing a car. As for the issue with the drag, if performance was the issue I believe PD/SD should have been given an equivalent counter. Criminals still get the bike they like and PD/SD has a bigger chance to counter it. This has remained my opinion since the 240km/h limit, stop changing car performance and focus on matching it/adapting to it. Especially with rage 1.1 would be cool to see scripts that allow players to customize aspects and specs for their vehicles, focusing more on the tuning/custom built scene.

This thread makes me want to host an IC class on how to he a criminal 101.

Still an issue, streaming distance for other players seems to be worse than 0.3.7, not sure if it's something that can be fixed or if it is a flaw in 1.1.

Make the IC government website a phone app like LifeInvader
Cyrus Raven replied to Ash's topic in Implemented Suggestions
+1 Although I fear this will become like lifeinvader where most people will still use the web version (putting aside the fact that lifeinvader on either platform is dead af right now)
