Add body cameras as purchasable items that physically display on the player model. I think one of the main appeals of other servers is that body-cameras either don't exist or they exist as an item that clearly shows if someone is recording. Introducing these as an item could pave way for really interesting types of RP which currently are "blocked". For example, If a criminal organisation wants to meet with some allies to have a meeting, there is no obvious way (outside of /me and /do RP) of knowing who is ICly recording. If a player successfully records the meeting he can now RPly describe what his bodycam captured or even provide a recording of the footage when in reality anyone at the meeting would have noticed. There is a counter-argument, players could just RPly activate their phone to record audio or any other style of RP for hidden/covert cameras via /me, which would realistically go unnoticed.........but I think it comes down to game balance. Making it clear via a body-camera item who is and isn't recording would create a fair environment where this distinction is clear to the players. The /recording function would also remain and serve as an alternative to the body-cam item. As a counter balance, Law Enforcement would have a wire item added, which can be used in undercover operations as a hidden alternative to a body-camera, encouraging the use of confidential informant RP. As a physical item, it would be placed in the dedicated body-cam slot, allowing for the possibility of a player being searched and discovered wearing a wire. The result would hopefully be increased RP all around. Law Enforcement has a bigger incentive to work closely with CIs as they wouldn't be able to easily capture footage now that it is obvious who has a body-camera on. Players who are more attracted to criminal RP will have an easier time engaging in extortion, threats, intimidation and other illegal RP. Generally, I think players would enjoy having an easy way to see who is and isn't RPly recording.

How do you bridge your view with the case linked in the OP? An IC determination has already been made regarding the use of masks during incidents which may have harsh conditions. What about other avenues of RP surrounding masks such as working at night, working in the cold (Reminder that Snow RP rules explicitly state: ''Players are expected to wear appropriate clothing for the snowy weather.''), or people wanting to RP religious attire?

Do you think players should be able to RP the use of a mask during roadworker job as personal protective equipment ?
