As far as RPing death goes, people will always complain if the decision is left to another player, so why not let the server decide? We already have /analysewounds which shows where the player got shot (e.g leg or head) Why not add in a code that gives certain wounds (e.g. head) a percentage to be considered "fatal", if they wound is fatal then the player can death rp, if its not fatal then they cant death rp. Example: player does /analysewounds and sees they got shot in the head, and theres a 10% chance that the wound is considered fatal and therefore the player can death rp if they wish. ("shot to the head (fatal)") The players cant complain that they think the decision is unfair as it was decided by a computer.

+1, but maybe not that expensive. Going from $100 to 15k is a bit much. +1 on making people with more expensive cars pay more to fix their car/people with cheap cars pay less

Why not make people care more about going to prison, apart from wasting 2 hours of their IRL time? A good suggestion for this is to make fines cost a lot more, people would avoid going to jail if they were going to lose lots of money as it takes ages to earn that money. Right now people dont care about going to jail anyways as they just wait till they go to bed to serve their jail time.

The issue with police using TS is that if a criminal gang used TS, had separate channels for the different things they do (e.g. one for drug labs, shop robberies, etc) and it was "enforced by an admin and members" and used the reasoning of "theres lots of people in the gang and if we all go on the radio it gets full of chatter" they would all get done for metagaming. +1 to giving criminals more abilities rather than nerfing the police. The police seem fine how they are with their armour and guns, but criminals should also have access to these things by illegally importing it

Quite a lot of over games have an afk feature like energy etc... Where it regens faster if you are in game, yet if you are offline it regens much slower, could do this kind of feature with the jail sentence?

What if they made it so if you are online and watching your character, then your time goes down faster? So your sentence is (example) 3 hours offline OR 2 hours in game?

If players could go offline while in jail, then the jail times could be made longer. The reason they are so short now (2 hours is nothing) is cause players have to sit and watch, which restricts them from playing other games in this time period. Im pretty sure if you asked people if they would prefer being able to do something else while in jail (play a different game or go onto an alt) but the jail times were increased vs having to watch your character afk for 2 hours they would prefer the ability to go offline.

So a risk of being a criminal is restricting usage of your pc? If we could offline jail then our character is still technically IN JAIL - we just arent having to watch them If we were allowed to go offline and the jail time still go down, then the jail time could be made longer.... Not being able to play my character for hours is bad enough, but not being able to play other games is a bit much

Im just going to start with saying that prison is such an OOC punishment... For the timer in jail to go down, you have to be in game and playing the character that is in jail. Which means leaving your PC on, with the game open for up to 2 hours. doing literally NOTHING. I think making people not able to use / or afk their character as its in jail for 2 hours is punishment enough, but making players sit and watch is ridiculous. I think the timer should go down when players are offline / on a different character as it allows people to go play other games or do something else while they wait for their character to serve their time. Players shouldnt be punished by restricting them on their PC cause of the type of character they RP. Or at the very minimum, if you are going to make players sit and watch their character serve their time, at least give them something to do (i thought this was a great suggestion) EDIT: If jail times are increased - make it so your jail time goes down faster if you are in game and on that character vs being offline. This gives people the opportunity to make their jail time go faster if they dont want to go offline (e.g. sentence is 3 hours offline or 2 hours in game) Just thought I would add to this as so far its getting very mixed views. Ive seen lots of "no point in prison" if this feature was added. Why would people being able to choose if they wanted to go offline make prison obsolete? The only difference between people standing there afk (most likely watching Netflix) vs them being offline would be the visibility of the character model. Players should have the choice to choose whether they would like to RP things in the prison (from standing there AFK to conducting a riot) or if they would like to go off that character and do something else. A few hours of their character in prison is still a reason to avoid jail as means you cant do illegal stuff with that character until they get out of jail. Also I have a feeling that if you allowed people to go off their character in jail (and their time still go down) then you would see a lot more active people in the server as with this feature, most people who are in jail on their criminal character would go onto their mechanic/PD/MD/ETC alt. This would mean that there are more employees online as sometimes there are hardly any gov faction employees online.

+1 criminals have no chance against cops as criminals can lose everything they have (car/gun) whereas cops can just respawn all that stuff again Like all the suggestions except i have one issue with idea 6 - (if snipers are kept) then snipers should not be lootable as this would cause people to go after police for this OP weapon

its ridiculous when cops call for back-up (even over something really small) as the back-up consists of every single cop thats online

Cops get away with so much. They can literally put every single ticket on someone for no reason and get away with it. Even if you go to PD and tell someone about it they just tell you to make an IA report before arresting you and sending you to prison.

totally agree to this, SWAT just stormed into the party for no reason and it turned into a sh*t show as you had like 50 people there wondering what to do as one officer was telling us to get on our knees and let them search us (for no reason) and others were telling us to leave. police shouldnt have immunities just cause they are police...

+1 lsc/bayview always seem to be full of people lately and police are usually doing other things and causes players to wait a long time for the police to respond to them in order to get their car out

@Phil McGee 1. "Rejected Reports" i wasnt referring to the report, just the video of you adbusing the glitch (i dont care for whatever reason people are reporting you for) 2. Didnt say anything about ramming - obviously with any big vehicle you can ram with it (duh) 3. As i said, its due to a visual glitch. Im not saying i have an issue with people shooting through objects like engines or whatever, i have an issue with the fact you abuse this glitch so you can go around shooting people and know that they cant shoot you back 4. You need to learn better RP as using your work truck (which brings in one of your sources of income) to get into shootouts isnt very realistic Now this is a suggestion post, you're obviously hurt that people are suggesting to remove your protection against getting shot 24/7, but you -1 it so thats all the input we needed from you
