  1. she really do have a wagon tho
  2. I don't want to warn you but I made the same suggesting in November of 2018 and it went ignored.
  3. Everyone is complaining about the jobs getting repetitive... the point of this is to make people not go to prison as often. If there is a prison update with stuff to do then I'd support the change.
  4. I agree with letting vehicles that are securely impounded be able to be released to the owned as long as they don't have active charges. When it comes to PD not coming to the impound it is due to having a shootout or pursuit every 5 minutes. This is no exaggeration. I've been in PD for over a year and it has gotten worse with time. While criminal RP is this way the response times will be slow.
  5. I don't think I'm parading much, just... stating facts. I actually agree with Eshu when he said they got the government job already, but what I am saying is I don't think government jobs like Weazel should be automatically exempt from the felony rule because they already have the job, it needs to be manually looked into as every person is different.
  6. I just say things how they are. I am a very straight forward person. Weazel makes announcements.... what else? Why would they need to be treated differently than someone else? Because they work in a building compared to someone who works maybe at a clothing store? I just don't understand it is all. If you can convince me otherwise I'd love to agree with you, but I just don't.
  7. People did the crime, people suffer the consequences. Felony crimes are very serious, they don't come from speeding tickets. Also I disagree with calling Weazel a true government job. It's just people making advertisements and driving around in a van. If /vnn was around then anyone with a van could be a Weazel News employee, so to say reporters should be treated differently than a civilian just doesn't make sense to me. Long story short, I don't think serious felonies should be forgiven.
  8. Don't have felonies and work for the government? I mean thats a solution.
  9. I agree! There is very little civilian RP and what is left is ruined by 24/7 robberies!
  10. Hello! I'd just like to give a view from the other side. To say we power game constantly is far from the truth. Our PD handbook states that an officers word is enough to add charges. If an officer IDs someone as a suspect, charges get added. There is an IA section in the PD Forums to file complaints, both IC and OOC. There is also the Player Reports section. PD is tasked with dealing with, well, everyone shit to be quite frank. New players who don't understand RP, trolls, and yes, rule breakers. To point things out, look at the Player Reports section right now. It is at least 90% against people who are not in the police force. To solve your issues with the server, maybe start there. EVERY and when I say every I don't mean most, EVERY time I go to pull someone over they evade. They evade, shoot at the cops to get away, and we we return fire on them after THEY initiated, THEY call backup to kill the cops. Most of the times, they are being pulled over for speeding, or something that won't result in an arrest. Every time we get someone in cuffs, it is instantly KOS on every cop on the scene. If PD were to do this to the criminal factions, it would be a shit storm. You can kill me and six cops standing around your friend... why? Because we look the same as the cop arresting your friend? Applied to the other side, if your friend is shooting at us, we don't gun him and everyone around him down. I was literally loading someone into a cruiser to take him to MD yesterday and started to get shot in the back because he though I was arresting his friend. People are too quick to KOS the cops on the server. People take SWAT as a challenge and not as a threat because they know they have 30 people on contenders around the corner. To say PD doesn't have people who break the rules would not be true, it is the same for both sides. People who take PD serious and like playing it do not want people in PD to break the rules, but they need to be reported. If you don't make a report on the person making the problem, there will be no solution, and you can't say all of PD is the issue. We also have a gigantic PD Handbook that we have to follow, along with the rule book, while anyone else can just run around and do what they want. Long story short, you want change, try and remove the issue, and PD isn't being removed. Here is something to look at: Handbook Titles: Topics that are forced to be manually R&U'd (Read and Understood with a comment): Internal Reminder: Internal Reminder: Our Discharge List. People who do poor RP get punished: https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewforum.php?f=127 Summary: To say PD is not regulated is false, and to say people are not held responsible is false. PD is HEAVILY regulated. SWAT for example as well has many many internal rules. If you have an issue with an officer, please utilize our Internal Affairs report section found here: https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewforum.php?f=24
  11. Its an RP server, just let the person being robbed RP. If they don't know how to use the /me's and /do's they really shouldn't be on the server.
  12. There is a server command to see the location of your vehicle. It is /showvehicles. You can use it about every 5-7 minutes, but it only works if the car is empty. Also, from a Police point of view, every time the server crashes the BOLO list resets. Also, if a BOLO is out for an extended period of time, it is not uncommon for your vehicle to be considered lost, hence why it has been deleted. The Police aren't useless.
  13. Had a similar suggestion all the way back in November that seems to have been ignored / lost. I have wanted this for a long time. Huge +1.
  14. quick side note, police not coming to the impound is due to literally every 911 call being a hostage situation or a massive shootout. If the non cop RP wasn't 80% murder, we'd be able to go to general calls a lot more often
  15. I agree with the fact that the burgers are not a realistic price, but they are only that way because they heal you to pretty much full health. After shootouts, people literally just go to stores and buy food, and there needs to be an increased price to at least set back the player doing so
  16. I can't speak on behalf of the entire police force, but I've grown tired of the current status of the server, and it doesn't seem like there is anything going into helping it. To me, right now, the server is cops and robbers. There is no civilian roleplay, no job roleplay, no roleplay at all except either being in a gang or being a cop, and that isn't the players fault. With recent updates as well and the whole #NerfPD wave that seems to be more rampant than ever, I don't know what the future holds for protocols or our "RP level." People need to honestly realize that going against a police force isn't supposed to be fair. If you see S.W.A.T. you run as fast as you can. Pulling out a gun and running after an armored car full of operatives in a hakachou drag is far from something I look forward to dealing with once, yet it happens every single day.
  17. We actually have a lot of protocol set up in place to prevent situations like this. People who get mad don't make IA reports for some reason, so nothing ever changes and the officers don't get in trouble. If you see misconduct, you need to report it, just complaining about it isn't going to help. Make an IA report and it will be dealt with Cadet stage takes several weeks where all you have is a combat pistol. PO1 Is also a minimum of a few weeks, and again, all you have is a combat pistol. There are also internal written applications. To get access to an M4, which is "Heavy Toys" You either need to be a Sergeant which requires 4 months minimum and several long, written applications. The other two ways is to get into IB which is 3x harder than becoming a Sergeant, or joining S.W.A.T. and passing a 5 paragraph minimum application. And the armor is just realistic. There is so many ways to get results, but I've never seen a post where the criminal then follows up complaining with actually making an IA report. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'd also just like to quickly point your attention to the player reports section. It seems that 95% of the reports are on criminals, so maybe look into that...
  18. I'm actually the cop that helped you prior to this. We have a lot of calls to respond to, and with the current RP standard of the server, everyone who isnt a cop or other government employee is a criminal. With this leads to a lot of unnecessary and non-rp shootouts, and when officers die, 9/10 times they get off duty. If you want faster response times and RP to go along with it, Criminal RP as a whole needs to improve. I do agree with the minimum officer statement, however. If there are less than three officers on duty, I feel it is acceptable to have an automated system.
  19. Being a cop since April, I can tell you we have been nerfed enough, and continue to be nerfed. Our Ammo has already been cut and us carrying multiple weapons on us 24/7 is against our protocol during most situations. People have to realize that on top of the nerfs, we already have a gigantic fucking handbook that we have to follow all of the time, and if you dont and you get caught, you get fired. Criminals don't have to follow anything, and can just do whatever they want all of the time. Carrying guns on our backs was made more strict, the number of guns we have access to and when we can use them has been made more strict. For example, the S.W.A.T. team is the strongest thing we have, but criminals aren't even remotely scared to stop doing anything illegal when they see SWAT, they take it as a challenge, which if you want to talk about non-rp, thats a prime example. People also have to realize that a police department isn't "fair". No police department has treated civilians as easy as we do and gotten the amount of dead cops we do. No police station shoots you with a pistol because you have a pistol. If you point any gun at me, I'm killing you with whatever I have access to. It isn't fair, and it is intended to be that way. People find any reason to kill cops on the server, and assisting that right now in my opinion is no solution to anything. Maybe if 80% of criminal RP wasn't just getting into shootouts with the cops or breaking FearRP to call in backup to kill cops, I'd agree to some of the statements you made.
  20. @verydoge12I am suggesting a system where if you CK, you will get a fresh criminal record, but you will lose everything. If you want to just change your last name, your record stays and you keep your belongings.
  21. Also, @2cannnn1I am not saying that it gets rid of ACTIVE charges, I am saying your whole criminal record. If you got arrested for killing a cop, you can just go to PD and change your last name and boom, you were never arrested for killing a cop, even though RPly you are the same person, just with a different name.
  22. You do not need to RP as a different person to get your record wiped. As soon as you change your name, your record goes away completely. If you CK and are RPing a new person, you would not have all of your old characters belongings. I am proposing an addition to the PD front desk that allows a "Character Kill" option for $0. It would generate a new stranger tag and be as if though you created a new character, but without adding an additional character slot. If you do not select the "Character Kill" option, and you wish to change your name, your record will remain as well.
  23. Yes, I understand this is most likely going to get a lot of -1 from criminals, but think about it realistically. Walking into PD and changing your name to clean your record should not work. In my opinion, charges should stick to your Stranger ID and not just your in game name. It is terrible RP to walk into PD, change your name, and then brag about all of the cops that you killed while also telling everyone you are a new person, while in reality you are still the same cop killing person with a different last name. The current system can be used to get jobs or get married, and it makes no sense. The only way to get rid of your record is to make a new character and be a new person for real, not just changing your last name and still having everyone aliased. This is an RP server, put some RP behind it. If you want to perform a "Character Kill" because that seems to be popular now-a-days, you should honestly lose the house, car, and money you have, aside from credit cars. Your new Character would not live in the house your old one did, would not drive the same car, and would not have the same bank account. This thread is just to possibly get some conversation going on how to fix this flawed system. Reference this link for how it really works: https://info.cleanslatelawyers.com/blog/will-legally-changing-your-name-clear-your-record
  24. And just for a quick example from PD, Anyone with a higher rank than SLO, meaning they have been around and play enough to be in this "35% tax bracket" now less per hour than a cadet. In my opinion that is just silly. I'd like to find a police department where the chief of police gets less than a cadet.
  25. Taking away 100 real hours of work with no heads up, kinda wild.
