  1. Username W-Lawson The tolls placed on the Great Ocean Highway after Fort Zancudo on the entrance of the bridge to Paleto Bay are an absolute disgrace. Why are San Andreas residents being forced to pay to use OUR own roads? Commuting from Paleto Bay to the City or vice versa now have added an unnecessary cost of travel and wasted time while sat at these tolls. The State and Federal Government already collect numerous amount of different taxes on us (sales tax, property tax, gas tax, et cetera, et cetera) - the tax money that is already used to build and maintain these roads - San Andreas residents should not be forced into paying for use of the roads that we have already paid for. I implore all that are reading this to write to the unelected State Officials (Commissioners) about their displeasure about the addition of these tolls - let them know that these tolls are not appreciated nor were they asked for by the people of San Andreas - it is another attempt by the State Government to fleece the residents of San Andreas for even more money.
  2. I'm sorry but we really don't need more jobs like this - what character development are people currently getting out of selling drugs? The sale of illicit goods should be done through player-player interactions only - the current systems we have in place doesn't encourage or promote role-play, it isn't helping people develop their character and it effectively ruins any chance of a real black market from ever taking off. I can't support the addition of this job or jobs like it when the current jobs we have aren't fit for purpose.
  3. Supporting - I made a similar suggestion last year (here) regarding in-game ads. I'm sure everyone has been in a role-play scenario / situation where Weazel ads have ruined the flow and distracted people from those RP situations - I believe this minor addition will definitely help the server long-term.
  4. Well that was unexpected... Very glad to have been given a second chance here.

  5. The only business type that should be restricted is firearm retailers. But that's an IC issue that the PD and the gov will deal with.
  6. I made a suggestion/discussion post about something similar back in September, and I still support adding further costs to owning a vehicle. +1
  7. San Andreas is based on a US state the last time I checked.
  8. No thanks. Manual transmission sales in the US make up a minuscule amount of total sales nowadays.
  9. I commented last month that the server needed some sort of rules of engagement and this seems to definitely try and go towards that path. I don't agree with everything laid out in this suggestion, but I do think it brings forward a good conversation on a possible Rules of Engagement ruleset at some time in the future.
  10. This doesn't sound like a good fit for the server if I'm being totally honest. Combine that with the fact there just isn't enough players to really support something like this. It's a no from me I'm afraid.
  11. As long as people who end up creating non-roleplay ads are punished sufficiently then I don't see an issue with this being added.
  12. There's certainly some clarification that could be added into the rules about it (this thread is clearly aimed at discussing your recent punishment) but I'd have thought it'd have been common sense not to attempt to avoid the AFK timer while not playing. If you feel like you'll be away from your screen for an extended period of time, you really should be closing the game down.
  13. This just sounds like something that'd lead to extremely poor roleplay in the long run. The current system of requiring admin approval seems fine to me.

    Tattoo Removal

Can we get an option at the tattoo shop to be able to remove tattoos? It used to be a feature long ago, and it'd be great if it could be re-added in some capacity.

    House robberies.

Alarm systems along with a safe would be good - and maybe to combat chain robberies and poor role-play, we could make it so house robbing needs to admin approved and supervised? I don't want someone who doesn't have the slight clue about role-play being allowed to do them.
  16. I do wish they'd add the tractor back, or make it purchasable through dealerships.
  17. This was suggested before: I still support effects being added for drugs, but if it happens then I'd hope the black markets would be removed entirely in order to promote actual role-play usage of drugs and player-to-player sales.

    Weapon Suppliers

The core premise behind this suggestion is an attempt to move away from total reliance on official gangs for illegal firearms, making this into a faction defeats the purpose of that. Point 1: I totally agree, people who wish to apply and be a dealer must have a good character backstory, which details why and how they go into the business. The aim should be to have a small group of the best of the best role-players who aren't in official factions be the ones that are the distributors of these weapons. Point 2: I've got no issue with a large portion of the weapons being sold through these suppliers being pistols and ammo, but I wouldn't say that 99% of their stock should be of that. Point 3: Being charged / prosecuted for trafficking would certainly kill off any further chances of being considered a supplier, no way is anyone gonna wanna team up with someone who clearly isn't doing a good job.
  19. Weapon Suppliers Suggestion Premise: With the new weapons license system came plenty of disgruntlement, seen in several threads (1, 2, 3, 4) here. The clear consensus from some of these threads is that some folks want another avenue for purchasing firearms. This is where this suggestion comes into play. I’m suggesting we implement a new system in which a select group of players who apply and are selected by faction management to become distributors for illegal firearms. The system would / should NOT take away official factions ability to import guns, the aim is to simply create another avenue for players to acquire firearms that aren’t totally dependent on official factions. The system would have eligibility requirements for those wishing to apply for a position, and would have rules (basics such as no weapon stockpiling, not a member of an official faction, etc.) that must be followed. And that's that - I'm expecting the usual +1 or -1 as suggestions usually go, but I'd really love for folks actually reading and commenting on this thread to contribute more than that, a good and thoughtful discussion about this could possibly go a long way for such a system to be implemented.
  20. Maybe instead of some-sort exception we could setup and offer folks with rather minor records with some sort of chance of pardon / clemency?
  21. New system is perfect, I'd much rather see a reworking on how weapons illegal weapons can be purchased. Individuals or an unofficial faction member who wishes to become a firearm trafficker should have an option to become a supplier of said weapons without needing to be in an official faction.

    Moonshine

I'd honestly prefer any sort of brewery activity to be kept as its own distinct thing, completely separate from the farming job, drug labs and the shitty black market.
  23. The black market sucks because of the phony drop-off black markets. The sale of illicit goods should be done by player-player interactions only.

    DELETE

I don't agree with the what you suggested, but I do think staff need to look at implementing a more open and transparent rule set for gangs. At the moment in time we don't have any (at least public) rules of engagement for factions or seemingly any way in which gangs can be taken down by law enforcement. This has to change, and the sooner it does the better.
