  1. Text above a players head is a big no-no from me, but a general /describe command with a players characteristics and features seems pretty good to me.
  2. I'm posting this thread In hopes of opening a discussion on the cost and viability of super / luxury cars. This isn't a suggestion post (not yet anyway), so please, If you don't have anything meaningful to add to the discussion then don't bother. Main Discussion Point: From my perspective, driving around the city it appears everyone and their mother owns some sort super / luxury car. I get it, everyone wants to RP as a millionaire playboy. But in the long term this really only dampens the immersion when playing, and I can only imagine this will drive people away who are looking for a realistic experience when playing here. Solution: I have a couple of things floating around my head, such as vehicle registration, insurance, etc. (some sort of recurring cost). But the whole point of this post is for community feedback on such a system. So please, if you either agree or disagree feel free to add something to the discussion.
  3. This. Imagine the cockfighting RP we can get out of this. Let's get it done boys.
  4. This is going to be a highly a contentious discussion (with a lot of people disliking the suggestion put forward) but an official faction system is definitely the direction I'd like to see Eclipse go. (+1 and all that jazz) The faction definitely needs and active membership to keep it sustainable, an average active membership of maybe between 5 to 10 would work best I think. A three strike system was pretty much the standard on most SA-MP servers, no reason to drastically alter a system that has been proven to work in the past. A "Head of Factions" should be something that should also be considered. The sooner we can beat this mentality out of startup factions the better.
  5. #MakeDrugsGreatAgain +1
  6. Are store prices not set by store owners? If not then +1
  7. +1 seems like a simple enough suggestion, would definitely help those that toggle the hud. Adding onto this suggestion, it'd be nice if there was also a command to check the fuel with a toggled hud!

    Less rain

+1 - The constant rain is definitely annoying, a weather system based on Los Angeles could've been interesting, then I realized we'd never see rain again.
  9. +1 to this except for the part at it being done at the LSPD, I'd much rather they either have some sort of register office for this sort of thing, or use the plethora of churches that are in the game (new type of business?)
  10. Short suggestion but I believe that in-game advertisements should only be viewable for those who have phones (that are switched on). It really doesn't make sense on a role-playing server to have sudden knowledge of a car meet going on when you aren't connected to the outside world in some way.
  11. I've got no qualms with robbery roleplay in itself, but my biggest problem lies with players who seemingly just chain rob one after another. Surely you can agree this is a poor portrayal of character roleplay?
  12. I'm in full support of this, but adding onto what you already suggested, I think after players reach X hours or X experience these sort of reminders in general should stop.
  13. Reading this has made me realize that I actually don't have any idea of how turfs are actually acquired, taken or made. So before I give an opinion on this, can someone in this thread (or reading this thread) kindly tell me how turfs are made, taken and lost?
  14. I'm not necessarily against this idea, but the lack of quality role-play (from what I've personally viewed from different areas) puts this suggestion on the fence for me. Why spread the player base further afield with role play when there is already a bit of a struggle to find RP in the city. Coming from a long-time SA-MP player this has been a feature that some would have liked to see, but with the low age of the player base meant that there was a low maturity among said players. I think fleshing out already established jobs should be the main focus. I think this one kinda leads back to my first point, why spread the player base out future afield in attempt to create more role-play when there is already a lack of role-play in the developed areas? Is this really necessary? If you feel like you've been unfairly punished and you have the evidence to back that up, would it make a difference if you respond to the report against you with the evidence or you throw up the punishment appeal with the evidence? I don't think this needs to be a government run faction, but the idea of being able to see houses on the market at one centralised area is something I can definitely support. Somewhat in a different direction to your suggestion, but a government setup sub-forum where people can put up business requests (building request + license for the business) would be something I would like to see. I'm not sure how something like this would be setup with the current server dynamics (a server reset would probably work best, but nobody would probably be on board with this), but it definitely something that needs to be considered.
