  1. No. what your asking for is precisely less variety. If you don't think its worth, don't do it. go chop a car or rob a house, see how much money that gets you. Big orgs hold labs. if you're holding a lab you should be able to also build up a stockpile of every ingredient for every drug recipe currently available and then put a few braincells into figuring out what you need to bring. this would fix all your complaints. what your asking for, is this to be removed. for every lab to have 8-10x tables of LSD or Coke so that you can just not think. ill say it again. crim is in a shitty spot right now, but labs, is easily the strongest way to make money if you can make the most of them. if anything in crim needs to be buffed, it isnt this.
  2. Well that sounds incredibly lazy to me. You have a licence to print money and then question what ink needs to be supplied to print it? If people cant be bothered to correctly prepare to use a lab they hold, thats not a dev issue. its a skill issue. labs are already the biggest money maker crims have. i wish it wasnt the case, but it is. the last thing crim RP needs right now is an increase in lab efficiency. I want to move away from this notion that labs is the pinnacle of crim RP.
  3. Playing devils advocate here, I believe the purpose of this is to stop people from holding a lab and just cooking the same drugs for which they have ingredients stockpiled for, forever. Once you "hold" a lab, its basically a license to print money. the only thing that limits your profits is the ability to continually supply the correct ingredients for the table. therefore the diversity of tables is there to add an additional barrier for printing money that you need to overcome. i.e you will need to stockpile other ingredients as well to maximise how many tables you can have going at any given time. TLDR, Table diversity isnt a bug or something the devs missed. it was done on purpose to add an additional challenge for you to overcome if you want to make the most money possible. if you have the manpower to hold a lab, you should also have the manpower to supply all the tables offered.
  4. I would not be adverse to having different stakes at different tables at the new casino. I dont agree with the lambasting of players who want to play smart and not just throw all their money in on a coinflip. but if others want to do that. i believe they should have a table to do so.
  5. Basically this. OOC reports have OOC consequences, up to and including bans from the server. this has nothing to do with being the "bad guy." Players should have access to pending and archived reports to keep themselves up to date on what and how the rules of the server are applied. and in the case of themselves being reported, being able to reference other similar situations and their outcomes in either their report or any subsequent appeal. This is SUPER important to relations between staff members and players. I cannot stress this enough. Hiding the reports system will only foster rumor mill, suspicion and paranoia. Lets keep it transparent.
  6. They were already buffed. its also entry level criminal activity. its designed to get you a bit of extra cash so you can progress to larger gigs that require more expensive equipment. the feedback ive heard from people is that the buffs were nice and if youre smart about where and when, it can be worth doing occaisionally when you just need a bit of extra cash.
  7. I agree that everything you suggest would be a neat feature. But going back to my final point, the dev team is limited and has to prioritise adding things they believe will add the most to the server. If we are talking about immersion and RP, all the things you have suggested could be RPed with /me and /do. I own property and use it often, not just a place to store my belongings, which by the way, is sort of one of the things a house is for IRL, but also to have friends round for parties, a place to work on my ic job in private, i built an office and a studio in mine for this, and a place to just chill and watch tv whilst sending texts on my phone. In otherwords, im doing most of the things youve suggested already. And i didnt need a single script action to do it. If a player wants to RP using a computer, they /anim type by a Laptop prop, then tab out. This is commonly done with gov jobs. Same, with TVs. Theres nothing stopping you RPing cooking or taking a shower in your apartment.l if your goal is RP immersion. The server is only starting to look into a buff system for taking drugs so perhaps in the future purchasing groceries and cooking nutritious meals at home which offer bonuses beyond just filling your hunger meter could be cool. Ditto if there was a cleanliness buff/meter. Maybe it would aid passive HP recovery, iunno. Going back to the original point tho, this is a RP heavy server however with severe script limitations and limited development resources. Part of the deal is rping out activities via text that other servers might have a script mechanic for. So that the dev team can work on larger, more fruitful updates (lifeinvader, Gun update, Casino etc.)
  8. Hit the nail on the head. The only way to make decent money currently as a crim is by holding labs, which you cannot do unless you are already in a large Org/Alliance. And even then, alot of crims do not want to roll labs, because its a glorified TDM warzone filled with Drama, reports, people "/anim sleep"ing in bushes, Save POVs and endless circlejerking... But its currently your only option. every other criminal activity is either high risk or low reward, a few are both: -Chopping: just get this one out of the way quickly as its been explained well by others above, heavy nerfs to its profitability, forced to either invest a stupid amount of money into a toolbox to get the most out of each chop or drive it to a very well known criminal location where youre odds on to get jumped. -Store Robberies: In order to make store robberies work in their current format you need to roll with a minimum of 4 people, this is to empty the register as quickly as possible due to cops being alerted to stores being robbed thus, patrolling the others. 4 is the minimum, it can go much higher. a decent spree without police catching you (which, once again, after the first store they will be patrolling) would be three stores. 3 stores split between 4 people would leave each crim with about 8-12k in profit after washing for well over an hours work. every additional person taken along dilutes the profit whilst also increasing the risk of cops spotting you, which is ever increasing after the first store. oddly one of the more fun activities you can do as a crim but absolutely terrible for your bank account. -Banks: See what i wrote about store robberies. its pretty much the same but double the amount of people. more if you want to (as is often suggested) play it smart with lookouts etc. the money is not worth the risk. -House robberies: Recently nerfed due to the changes to animations meaning you are spending at least an hour doing one. even before the nerf on a 20k house the money was not close to worth. on the rare occasion you find a gun it has no ammo so you cannot use it. for a 20k house you can expect, on average after selling everything, about a 40k return. so 20k for about 2 hours work taking into consideration both the robbery itself and the selling off/washing afterwards. coupled together with the fact you can only do these once every in game night, its not a consistent nor a good money maker. profits massively diluted again if you are not soloing it. -Private labs: Virtually removed. you now need to own property in an extremely remote location for this to even be close to viable. unsurprisingly all of these locations are already owned. mostly by players who already have 7 figure bank accounts. nothing was added to crim RP to compensate for this. In summary its never been harder to find motivation to hop on my crim. I just don't see the point as progression is painfully slow. I hope this gets looked at. @Freyster raises some really good suggestions regarding chopping but I think crim activities as a whole need to be looked at.
  9. +1. This would also give people more reason to carry melee weapons. Wheras right now your two hands are more than good enough for most situations.
  10. +1. Reports should always be a thing of transparency within the community. If they are able to be viewed when submitted and pending why hide the outcome?
  11. - 1. I dont think the ammount of work required to make this a reality is neccessary. If people want to RP watching stuff with friends in game, the very straightforward way to do that is RP it, then tab into a discord to watchparty or similar. This happens all the time. There even used to be a cinema organisation that ran off of the concept. People came into the cinema, sat down with their chicken popcorn and sodas, and then tabbed out to watch a movie being streamed on discord. The Development team for ECRP is tissue thin and i think they could be working on more meaningful things.
  12. Why not both? IRL gloveboxes are lockable in most models of cars. You could even double down on this with a /locktrunk command as well to stop people doing the same thing OP mentioned but with the trunk. Again, IRL most cars have the ability to keep the trunk locked whilst having the doors open. Anything to stop gremlins.
  13. I could be wrong but i think greater character customisation is on the horizon? i remember seeing a post somewhere...maybe by @Bala regarding this. either way, +1 for it.
  14. -1. cars are there to be stolen, thats Crim RP. im already against certain factions keeping theirs inaccessible while on the job.
  15. +1 Niche suggestion, but anything that encourages people to do freelance jobs no one does im game for.
  16. -1 Unnecessary. The whole point of a city bee is that its last resort transport. a glorified lawn mower, shit by design.
  17. +1 While I dont wanna get into drama about alleged salary farming i think we can all agree its mega frustrating being stranded on foot with no means of transportation. particularly somewhere like DOC where you are pretty much in the literal middle of nowhere and upon release, short of getting a friend to give you a lift, your only method of transport is a taxi or a city bee. one of these should always be available. Perhaps the DOC city bee kiosk should get their own cache of bikes separate from the rest of the stockpile which despawn faster after being hopped off of, in an attempt to help prevent having to run all the way back to the city.
  18. Back when i worked for JB/MD when pulling/swapping cars it was standard proceedure to "call betsy" or make another sort of RP prior to pulling out. this was enforced by the command structure of those factions. it was a small thing, but it was something. I do agree that crims also quick swap when it suits them. any time you see a busted up kammy with popped tires roll into city parking, disappear, and a fresh 4 seater spawn, thats a Quick-swap. my definition would be the ability to instantly change cars without any prior RP. not the fact that LEOs get them for free.
  19. From previous suggestions we have had on forums i would say the prevailing "tin foil hat" theory is that LEOs dont respond to impound requests deliberately because when they notice one they "CBA" and "people arent motivated to take a trip to the impound." the common counter argument would be that LEOs are too busy, not as your are eluding to, that they are not motivated. Honestly we may have gotten it misconstrued if the reason is a lack of motivation/direction/notification. none of these things have been given as reasons by LEOs in the past as to why they dont respond. if thats the case perhaps that needs looking at.
  20. You realise you just proved your tin foil hat theory right?
  21. In Ireland there are a few options: Chicken Burger: a pattie of ground chicken and spices, battered, cooked and prepared similarly to a regular beef burger. Chicken Fillet burger: Fillet of chicken (typically breast) either battered and deep fried or grilled, served in a bun with toppings of cheese, onion, mayo, lettuce. Chicken Sandwich: and variety of sliced or pulled pre cooked chicken, between two slices of council issue white bread. served cold. Other varieties would be a chicken toastie, chicken baguette and chicken salad.
  22. I did not say making 20-30k a chop. please read my comment carefully. I said per hour. dependant on availability and RNG you could find 2-4 cars an hour to chop. depending on their quality those numbers are realistic. there has definately been a decline in the profitability of chops but i maintain that its the easiest route for smaller crims to make money.
