Xoza Posted April 28, 2021 Report Share Posted April 28, 2021 With The Diamond Casino & Resort update, we got access to a lot of amazing and beautiful assets that we have yet to really take advantage of, in the Casino space. I would like to suggest and present some great ideas and resources to really open up and centralize an amazing gambling space for the server. Introducing... The Diamond Casino & Resort The Casino has been open and closed in various stages all in all there was some great RP but now, we can experience and offer much more. The floor could be opened to games and gambling, the rooms could be temporarily or even permanently owned. All gambling and the NCZ could be consolidated and moved to the Casino itself and players/staff would be able to focus more on a larger RP scene as most games and activities could be scripted. Freelance jobs could even attach to them where the bank truck would pick up, or drop off money regularly at the garage. We could also use the already, ready interior and fill it as we need from it's available bare state (there is a cleaner one as well). The casino floor could easily house several games and types of games and many scripts related can be found here. Roulette * (another) Lucky Wheel BlackJack Poker Dice Slot Machines With these games, the group and employees that run the Casino, don't have to focus much on running the games themselves, only the operations of the Casino. Casino can't be a 24/7 business. The idea of this casino is to open a few nights every week like a weekly event. And it would be more like a part time job for the people who want to work there. Explore the interior and clean it up / add missing items / remove unneeded items. Make sure areas are secure and there aren't mapping glitches. Create a teleport and dedicate that dim to that interior. Maybe tie that dim and interior to a property dim and give that ownership to a faction (so they can build in the club) Move / create poker tables. Script new gambling games. Test everything. Our current devs are more then capable of doing the work, but they also have their own lives and this is not a primary job. There are a few issues with hiring others for development. It costs money, they don't really have to pay if they don't see the need. The individual must be trustworthy as they could gain full access to everything. Freelance devs often expect things and can expect it unexpectedly. And a few other 'people' / legal related risks. Seeing as Eclipse does not run as a business, there are several factors that can be just prevented. However, I can tell you this. There are several individuals that are assisting in creating, compiling and modifying content for the dev team and progress is moving along. While its true we get so many great suggestions but sadly it isnt that simple, im not qualified to really speak about the works that goes into making these things happen the server could really use some updates like this for sure and i hope we get some good things this year , as it would be fun to try something new. I appreciate your comments & I wish it was easier / they invested more. I'm biased obviously as a regular player. Looking at what other devs do, I wish we'd have similar progress / big reworks of things. ATM I think the updates, regardless of how competent our devs are, are way too infrequent.
