speaking on radio after being injured

Active Radio for atleast 2min after you get injured because there is ppl can get normal injured and they can still speak in radio's and that can help the player to give their location if no Medic or Police around, If you say we can text them in phone most of the criminal side have phone off the only way to contact your friends is radio so i think 2min is enough fair time to give to player to speak in radio. I would like to add example could be like - PD/SD having there panic buttons to show their locations within gps, so we would like extra time to use radio at least to give location

+1!!!

I’d love this, if there was a way to do this in a way where you can’t radio after you get injured via a weapon, that would be cool to add - admin logs show the reason for death being Weapon: *INSERT GUN* if I remember right, so there should be a way to code it.

2 minutes seems like a lot though, maybe 30 seconds to a minute even would be a sweet spot. Or just allow it entirely after a fall/crash. You can radio once stabilized by medics so that wouldn’t be horrible either.

expectation (probably true in a few scenarios):
"A faggio run me over on the east highway, someone come with a trunk"

reality (based on what I saw back when radio was allowed when injured):
"CLEAN ME CLEAN ME CLEAN ME, THE ENEMY IS TO YOUR WEST BEHIND A BUSH"

If there was a reliable way to differentiate between a shootout/fight and more natural injuries I could see this having more merit but I really think that this will lead back to a lot of non-rp and fuckery. I would argue that you and your friends having your phone off is a risk you are taking that they might not be contactable in the event of an emergency. Honestly on that topic it seems more like people turn their phones off as a "just in case" they're tracked over them actually being wanted anyway, but forgive me if I'm wrong there.

Other solutions could be something like, you can use a radio 30-60 seconds after being injured, giving the opportunity for any active scene to calm down and get yourself help. But even then I'm not sure I'm convinced of that as an alternative.

I would be willing to bet money that it would end up exactly how it used to be when we were able to speak on radio, it would become a COD lobby with callouts, CLEAN ME CLEAN ME, etc.

Maybe just let people turn their phone on/off while injured  adds the risk of getting traced while you shoot off a text or call trying to get an ally to help you?

I think this covers it very well - the idea is great but it's just how it would transfer into the everyday game or roleplay scenario.
An alternative is that MDs get alerted to injured people without the need for a phonecall/radio.

Within the RP of the scenario, a passerby would notice you injured and call in but this brings in complications of new MD SOP's where they may need to look at how many injuries had taken place in an area and assume it's a shootout.

This is a great idea, but unfortunately, it wouldn't work in all situations. For instance, if I down someone and want to continue the RP, like kidnapping them, they could still use the radio and potentially reveal everything happening, even though they're down, (A big probability that they will stall RP of taking the radio until they give detailed callouts)

From my perspective, this would eliminate post-injury RP entirely, as players would simply finish off anyone they've downed to prevent them from making callouts to their teammates.

One suggestion I have is that players could still be able to make phone calls, as they can actually receive them while injured.

While the idea might sound good in theory, in practice what would happen is people who are downed in shootouts comming for their still alive and fighting buddies which, when you are in a state where you are literally supposed to just be holding your guts in and nothing else, is very poor RP.

This already happens with people talking like its a counterstrike lobby to any ally in earshot despite being downed. being able to speak on radio would make it 10x worse.

- Implement so that anyone injured by any gun cannot speak on radio.

- Implement so that all other injuries (e.g. by melee, fall, car/bike accident) allow player to speak on radio for maximum 30 seconds. This gives people enough time to let others know what happened and where they are. If 30s is deemed too long and poses issues, then reduce to 15s.

What's stopping a player in a shootout that knows they're about to get shot to simply jump off a high place, or people that get run over at the start of fights from giving call of duty callouts?

A better system would be that anyone who received any damage from another player in the last 30 minutes can not speak on the radio after injury.

At that point they'd just catch a not here to rp ban no?
But it probably would be best to just implement as any player damage in past 30 minutes disables radio.

It's very hard to improve intent and very easy to say you did it by accident/miscalculated/etc

what if i hide behind an issi sport, a kamacho rams that issi sport, issi sport rams into me and i get injrued. logs wont even prove that i have been rammed by another player. how we work around that?
maybe i am not hiding behind the issi, maybe i just stepped out, bout to pull out a gun and then get rammed and injured.

So… i thought of an idea that can be used by anyone right now, and that is to

“when you are injured” you press your radio voice on and off, kinda like a morse code, so that everyone can see on the right side of the screen your alias flickering knowing you are injured, its like a silent code,

even better spamming opening chat box or spamming binded animations in morse

I think in general, we need to quit treating every injured state the same which is why I came up with the Knockout thing.

I think that in the case where you get killed as a result of a deadly weapon (gun/knives) then you can't talk at all.
Those are going to be 99% of the cases where you die in an active conflict.

Could make it a rule that you cannot communicate on the radio if you've been injured as a result of conflict.

That being said, if you clap yourself rolling down a mountain or crash your car, I think you should be able to use your radio.

You can use your phone regardless, it's just more convenient to use the radio for cops/crims isn't it? That's probably why it's been disabled.
