  1. +1 very cool, don't really see any negatives. How would it work with a driver? Would they be able to swap seat and then a passenger move to driver?

  3. You can't just pick and choose when you want to follow realism or not! Oh look its convenient for you with your argument here, but you are opposed to the 100's of police restrictions which are involved around realistic practices. The only problem I see with air-1 these days is it used to be an exclusive list of people who could pilot it, so it was often not available. Now days it seems like there are way too many trained pilots and they are able to get it out basically all times. I will often see on the department radio that both choppers are currently active xD. The tunnel's should stay shut for sure, dev's said they were working on making it less laggy, but who knows.
  4. +1 have a sort of teams chat as opposed to standard f chat created by faction management. Helps with solving reports, rules queries, and reduces mixing.
  5. Amazing group with very high rp standards look forward to meeting you again!
  6. +1 can't believe this hasn't been implemented or something similar yet. One year on and we are still having the same issues.
  7. This is discord pinged RP ops. Everyone gets on at a certain time and these pings are only used for meetings or alt rp. Just check the panel look at the amount of people in gangs, then look at that same panel a year ago, the numbers are totally different.
  8. I think if we got every criminal that was online during peak time, and we all made an alliance, we still wouldn't have 80 people on freq, this is what I mean by the state of criminal RP is different.
  9. Piggy backing on to this phone suggestions have been posted several times with no response. Group chats would be awesome and I am not sure why we still don't have them? Some more basic phone features like, if somebody calls me and instantly hangs up why does that not show in my call log? I have to be able to open my phone quick enough to see the number?? The call log only shows completed calls, it should show all.
  10. I think you will find that criminal RP is in the worst state it has ever been. It is because of old heads like you saying how bad it used to be, these people that say that are the same people who no longer play crim.... For the rest of us that was what everyone fell in love with. People look back on those times fondly, now days criminal RP has hit an all time low. You led two criminal factions yes, but haven't been active in any for over a year now. Your view is outdated. I will not reply again, I feel I have made my thoughts clear.
  11. I disagree with you here entirely. I also feel the large majority of the crim community feel this way. Thats why threads like this pop up. All the time people complain about it, obviously as you do not play criminal yourself, you might struggle to see the impact this has had.
  12. It was definitely a problem back then, doesn't mean it would still be a problem now. It truly only enhances roleplay to be able to make alliances and go on freqs and fight together etc. I definitely feel this can and should be relaxed. I am not talking about going back to 80 people on one freq all day every day. I am talking about grouping up with another gang and going together to roll labs or any other activity. Every time I have found myself on a joint freq the RP is so hindered by the constant fear of everyone there. Several times people ask if they need to change freq, is the operation over during a pursuit etc etc. Instead of having a blanket ban like this, it would be much more beneficial to let the RP develop and breathe and see where it takes the gangs ICly. If faction management feel that gangs are spending too much time on a joint freq, or any other issues arise they can easily speak to the leaders and sort this out.
  13. Yo, I am pretty sure this is already a rule? They aren't allowed to use the script commands until they have successfully rped treating you. If you die in the time it takes them to give you the treatment then it is what it is? I am pretty sure that on the BLS course this is made very clear that you need to successfully treat the injuries before using any scripted commands.
  14. IMRP gang, any active players here from there?
  15. I mean why didn't you just get all the on duty police there and stop the riot? Instead of trying to hide behind NCZ rules, which will surely be getting removed because of this. You could have RP'ed this so well, instead you sent and underwhelming number of officers and decided to hide behind OOC rules. The reason why your example was picked out I do not know. This thread is about more of an OOC teaching moment. However I don't know if this is really possible anymore. Most of the community are experienced players and have there own interpretation of the rules, as unfortunately the rules cannot be black and white. This is why PMing people does not really work. I think as a community we are generally pretty good at explaining stuff to new players if they break a rule rather than going to forums or instantly reporting them.
  16. This is a hard -1 from me. Just as an example, if I am being arrested and a member of law enforcement has broken a rule. If an admin comes pauses the situation and deems it is a rulebreak this is a big deal for me. I now no longer have to spend 2/3/4/5 HOURS, in prison for effectively no reason? I can file a forum report after the fact, but I CANNOT get that time back. Try PMing the person and asking to discuss it over PMs, rather than filling up /b.
  17. I mean, I brought similar grievances up with the standard of PD roleplay. This just ties into that, and reiterated that point further. In your POV we can literally see them shooting and spraying at there own officer being held hostage. 24 hours ago they filed a report against a gang for doing the same. PD do not care to play by the same rules as us. The head admins actually go as far as to change rulings to facilitate there behaviour? Why do they deem it okay to just spray in public like this? Literally because crims do it? THATS THE IDEA WE ARE CRIMINALS. This isn't a case of both sides need to be balance. Staff always say its not a cops and robbers server, yet they change the rules to allow PD to play it as such. This is just one of many awful practices done by police at bank robberies. We see threads like this pop up all the time, and nothing ever gets done to fix it. PD aren't a law enforcement agency, they are just a gang with the most staff support.
  18. I mean almost every argument you made above could be said towards PD officers and is in fact even easier as you have more numbers. Instead of getting newer, faster vehicles, you could use the resources available, of which you have many more. Instead you just get new vehicles added? If you ask nearly any crim they will tell you that the new cap and fine system is nearly worthless. I guess its nice now that people don't spend 20 hours in jail, so ye we have it to easy!
  19. +1, you can tuck any gun into a waistband of your trousers and just pull your shirt over it. Pistols should just be invisible on the character model, similarly to how 50 ap armour is for legals. Obviously larger weapons would remain on your back. Quite often now days because of sync issues, I have had a .50 on my back even whilst not having one in my inventory at all...
  20. This isn't a PD vs CRIM thread so please do not try to derail it and turn it into one. We are talking about the every day actions of PD, and how they consistently do not matchup to the rest of the RP standards seen within the server. If you would like to make a thread discussing PD rp vs CRIM rp, I will be more than happy to provide lots of examples, and statements to debunk your theories.
  21. Hi, I would like to add that as per the title I am specifically referencing PD. I notice the issue far less when role-playing with there northern counterparts. Most criminals I speak to reiterate this statement, that the standard of RP for SD is higher than PD. I personally have never seen a SD officer in a personal vehicle, let alone an active pursuit with multiple. Where as this sort of practice is more Common with PD. Aswell fear RP should be playing a far higher part in the city than up north due to what would realistically be a higher population. So it makes more sense for SD to pursue high speed on the highway. They have a hard shoulder lane with no civilians and less populated streets. The point of the crim having to consider this less is not about skill it's about risk. That crim is fleeing to save himself from YEARS in prison. The cop however, is doing his job, he has much less to lose if the criminal gets away. The risk a criminal would take to evade is far higher than the risk an officer would take in a pursuit.
  22. The video in my initial post has since been deleted by the author @TheCactus? So I am not sure if we can even continue the discussion EDIT: I managed to recover the original file! That was lucky. Unfortunately I could not get the original audio. Please see this link for the content in question:
  23. If stuff like this is brought up in private it is too easy for it to be swept under the rug. I have brought several issue to staff in private for them to all be disregarded. In a thread like this we can get a public comment, so that everyone can see the stance of the LSPD etc. Maybe you could explain to us what RP went into making this decision? As to people like myself who are less informed, this appears to be poor rp from the PD. Could you explain RPly, why it makes sense for any officers to be using personal vehicles for police duty? Do you believe this is good RP? I cannot say I have ever heard of a police officer rolling up to work in his own car and then going out on pursuits? I haven't even touched on the RP involving helmets. When we see the normal police bike units they are all geared up and seem to understand the risk of driving a bike. I am actually a very big fan of the standard police bikes you see patrolling.
  24. Do you really think this is an appropriate response from a support staff when it comes to this matter? Your attitude is disgusting. I as much as any other crim player have just as much right as you to comment on these matters and how dare you try to censor my opinion. You need to take a long hard look at yourself and realise its just a game, and we are here to discuss whether the player base feels that the actions in this clip are befitting of a PD officer. I would appreciate you attempting to keep the discussion on topic, as I do not want this to be archived as I am sure there are lots of other people who would like to see and discuss this matter.
  25. It also appears, that the guy overtaking him on the drag in the wrong lane travel is ALSO a police officer on their personal vehicle. Why are personal vehicles even allowed for on duty officers??? This makes absolutely no sense. Don't the police department already have high performance bikes (which they shouldn't), that they could be using...
