  1. I'm pretty sure the 2nd most recent update made this not a thing anymore
  2. I 100% agree with most of the things on this thread. It's the gang alliances thats the main issue here. Players forget this is a game, and try wayyyyy too hard to win, forming huge alliances in order to do so . They are all happy to settle with a joint 1st place. The most fun I've had on criminal RP is during the mid/late parts of summer when it was just a group of 10-15 of us fighting against EVERY. SINGLE. GANG. on the server. I'm sure @givejoshamosinwill agree with me here as he was in that group. It's fun being the underdog. Even though we'd lose a few fights before winning one, that win every now and then was satisfying as fuck. At this time, the gang alliance was genuinely disgusting. I'm not sure how FM allowed for this to become the case honestly. I don't really blame the gangs for this though. It got to a point where this group of 10-15 people were the only people who weren't afraid of fighting the big group of people, and when conflict was to happen, people were eager in getting involved. GD and LFM got so bored they decided to start fighting each other for fun. They gave some BS reason to why they should have conflict like "they said they could beat us in a war if they were to war with us!!!11!" and got away with it for a while under FM shut it down. Now LFM and ex-members of GD are on a joint frequency 24/7. This is stupid and I'll never comprehend it. The alliance system was the reason I left my old faction. They used to fight Aztecas, LFM, GD, Goblins 24/7. But coming back after a break and finding out they are on the same frequency was dumb. Honestly, compared to before, the current situation is much better, but its still awful. Irish and GD fighting each other for a genuine reason that made RP sense was a huge turn for criminal RP. But, gangs got bored and decided to join in the conflict, and we're at where we are now. As sad as it is to say, I don't think this will ever change unless FM get involved. No one is going to be willing to make the change unless every gets on board. But like mentioned before, people take this gang conflict way too serious, and I doubt there'll ever be progress unless it's forced by FM. Oh and the report to win mentality please. I'm pretty sure "/b save pov" is the most common text used. Normalise reporting when it actually affects your RP experience, not when you're mad after a loss in a fight. It's a game, no need to get people banned over minor infractions.

  4. Thanks for everything boys
  5. Actually the person who placed them down stated that they did it in the "heat of the moment". There was no mention of how they did it to stop vehicles "warping" or anything. They are also support staff and a part of an official faction, so I think that their quality of RP should be higher than the average player. The fact that they justified using the wooden barriers with 2 layers by saying that it is just a petty excuse in my opinion. This post was made because we as criminals find that PD/SD get punished less harshly than we do. If a criminal were to break FearRP because it was in the "heat of the moment", or shoot at someone who they thought they had DM rights on (sometimes they actually do) and give this reasoning, they are likely to still get a punishment/warning for it. Like this report here. Arguably one of the worst bits of roleplay I've seen from PD. I am honestly shocked this didn't get a Non RP. They got a note on their account which is literally a verbal warning that shows you've been spoken to about it. The player in question (another high ranking PD member) stated that it was also done in the "heat of the moment". Obviously I can't predict whether whoever takes the report will be accepted or denied, but from the general trend of these type of reports, PD always seems to get away with just a slap on the wrist. Seeing this was only about a week ago, I'm sure there are numerous more examples of this. Would you not say that if a criminal did the exact same thing, they'd receive at minimum a warning or most likely will receive a Non RP if they decided to drive up almost vertical case of stairs in a car? After all this is what we should be discussing. I feel like this happens because the majority of the staff team are PD/SD. I feel like punishments would be more fair if there was a senior staff member who was heavily involved in Crim RP. The highest staff rank I've seen for a solely criminal roleplayer is a moderator. I'm not saying there is bias involved in when reports are concluded, but I'm saying that if there was a high ranking staff member who did experience day to day criminal RP, they would understand a lot of these rulebreaks are similar to the ones PD make.
  6. @Cyrus Raven Curious on your opinion of this: https://streamable.com/n4ffne Another situation where the wooden barriers are used almost as a roadblock and completely stalled a car going 240. I have no issue with them being used personally as long as they are used in a way where there is some way the evader can get past them, but in this example you can see 2 layers of wooden barriers. Even if the driver did manage to break through the first layer of barriers with some stroke of luck (which I don't think he did), the impact force of the first layer would cause him to stall on the second layer, and basically gives him no chance of escaping. The second layer was completely unnecessary too, with no gaps being left with the 3 barriers at the front. At least in Jay's video you could argue that it was one layer of barriers, and he could get through with "GTA physics", but I'm pretty sure the driver in this scenario literally had 0 chance of getting through at all. It's just blatant PG/Non-RP in my opinion. I would understand this to just be a mistake if the SD officer was of a low rank with little RP experience, but based on the fact that he has a carbine, I assume he is a high ranking deputy. I really doubt he will face any punishment at all based on how I see PD/SD treated compared to criminals regarding to FCs. Also I want to know your opinions about how it's non rp for a single cruiser to have the storage capacity for 5 wooden barriers. Surely the boot cannot fit that many. I know you're going to make the argument about how its possible for a criminal to store an AK or something in a bike, which is fair enough, but I'm just genuinely curious what your opinions are on this. Eager to hear your response
  7. Date and time (provide timezone): 04/11/2020 15:47 GMT Character name: Jonathan Wellers Issue/bug you are reporting: Essentially I was buying a BF400 off a player and was told it was maxed. We drove to lowend where they listed the bike up for 30k. I thought it was an easy flip so I decided to buy it. Before I bought it, I checked to see if it was maxed. It showed the bike to be maxed. However I did not notice that the player had chosen the max mods for each of the parts. Despite this, it still showed the bike to be completely maxed, and this bug was exploited in order to make me buy it. I'm not bothered about the money, given that the bike stock itself is worth about 20k, so I'm only really losing 10k here, but I feel like this bug will be exploited severely by others to take advantage of new players. Expected behavior: Modview should show the vehicle's actual modifications and not the ones that were chosen at LSC. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Bike showed it as maxed at lowend but in reality you have to reset the modifications, which I'm not sure lowend will even allow you to do. More Blood

Jonathan Wellers Life after Murdablock was rough for Jonathan. The war with council, although short, left him both financially suffering and alone in the streets. He had no one he could turn to. That was until one of his close friends, [redacted] gave him a call. "Jonathan." The voice on the other end sounded elated that he had picked up. "Hop on this radio frequency now, we need bodies for a fight thats about to happen." is what was said down his phone. He had no idea who or what they were about to fight, but Jonathan was quick to make his decision. He grabbed his last .50 Pistol out of his safe and put 9 rounds in, shoving 3 more mags in his pockets as he rushed out of the RV he was living in. Jonathan showed up to the fight as shots were being exchanged. It was council members. They had compromised a drop that had been ordered by an underground organisation. "Take cover Jonathan!" the radio screamed at him. However, Jonathan was not scared. He rushed forwards, taking shots at the council members. 36 bullets gone. Just like that. Once he was out of bullets however, he was a sitting duck. Although he took down some enemies, the opposing backup was strong, and Micro SMG bullets were sprayed into his chest. He woke up at the hospital in a flash. 30 minutes after waking up at the hospital with no idea of what had gone on, he received a text from [redacted]. "You did well. The boss wants to have a word with you." He met up with the man in charge. His name was Ash Volkov. He filled Jonathan in with what had happened at the previous fight, and how their shipment was safely secured. Ash was impressed with Jonathan's bravery, and was willing to give him a shot in the crew. This crew was heavily disliked by "council". They would compromise each other's shipments and fight at drug labs whenever they could. Months passed as Jonathan settled into this crew. He met numerous people and made countless allies. He was always ready to fight. They did heists on banks and their main objective was simple. Make money while slowing down their opposition. Their opposition was strong however, and help was needed from other gangs. The crew became close allies with Rafi Leib and his group of friends. The street gang at the time was called More Blood. Little did Jonathan know that he'd soon be joining them. Jonathan had to leave the city for a while due to personal reasons. He didn't think things would change. He assumed that as soon as he came back into the city, he continue fighting against those hes. However upon landing, he had found out things that shocked him. Close friends of his had been deported, and those who he thought would fight against council decided to join them. Jonathan respected their decision and still to this day considers them to be good friends. But when it comes to fighting enemy gangs, friends become foe, and any personal relationships must be put to the side. Jonathan drove his car to LSC immediately after he flew in. Driving in, he saw Kane and other members of More Blood. He knew they were fighters, and Jonathan knew them well already. He knew More Blood would be the gang for him when he saw their potential while they helped Ash's crew. Jonathan approached Kane and other members. Jay Russo was also there. He was one of the people he had fought with against council with Ash. He had joined GD in order to help them fight against Triads and Irish. Jay put in a good word for Jonathan along with Jake Wilby and Jonathan was made a Runner for More Blood, skipping the prospect phase. Jonathan was given the rundown with the current situation in the city. He was told that he'd be fighting alongside with Aztecas, GD and LFM. Jonathan didn't have an issue with this. Those were the gangs that had caused him trouble in the past. He knew they were powerful names in the city. With a smile, Jonathan took down the high command contacts onto his phone, and drove back to his house. He equipped his Micro SMG, attaching a clip and a scope before putting a mag of 30 bullets in. He put 100 more ammo in his bag in case he needed it. He threw his AK over his shoulder and put his .50 Pistol on his waist. He stared blankly at the TV in his house and thought back to the good days. But if he wanted to get around in this city, he had to move on. And so he did...
  10. Getting your vehicle chopped basically just reduces your motivation to play the game for the 4 hours. Without a vehicle I just log off for the 4 hours and do something else. 4 hours just seems like a long time for your vehicle to be taken back out of mors. I understand that it was to prevent people from abusing the chop system by just taking their vehicle out of mors, giving it to someone to chop and just repeat, but the new chopshop system means you pay exactly how much the vehicle got chopped for. Some players I know have bought 2 drags just as a solution to this I feel like the time should be reduced to 1-2 hours. It would allow for players to get back into action, but would also still be realistic enough so you can't just continuously take vehicles out of mors.
  11. I feel like this feature gets used a lot to metagame whether a player is someone or not. I myself can frequently tell who a player is by looking at their exp after scrolling down the player list and finding their ID. Even when I am in completely different clothes, not using VOIP, members of opposing gangs will tell me to take off my mask, most likely seeing how much exp I have in the player list. It’s just blatant MG in my opinion. I think it should just be completely removed off the player list. Ping should be left on there, and maybe something else can be added to fill the space the exp used to take
  12. Woke up to find my vent was just not there. I had locked the apartment, and there is another door you need to use to get access into any of the apartment. Only 1 other person has access to the apartment, and he has not been online due to IRL work. Someone is clearly abusing game mechanics to get into houses and just take away valuable things. It's extremely inconvenient and you lose a whole day's worth of grinding because of it.
  13. Having to ask for consent to kidnapping just seems stupid in my opinion. If you’re chasing someone and they stall in the middle of the highway with no disclosed place in the near proximity to move them to rob, you have to ask for consent to “kidnap” them, i.e. getting in their car/getting them in your car and moving them somewhere else. The fact you have to ask for consent, and the robbed party has the option to give consent or not basically just lets them choose how the RP scenario should be played it. They can essentially say they don’t give kidnapping consent if they don’t feel like losing their things. It leads to a lot of stalling and lack of fluidity in the RP. Kidnapping in terms of this server makes no sense to me either. You’ll get reported if you rob someone in a public area, but you’ll also get reported if you try to move them somewhere else without consent. People in real life don’t get asked for consent before they get kidnapped, its not realistic. I suggest the rules should be changed so that you can move players to a disclosed area for the purpose of robbing them without their consent. If you want to kidnap someone, you ask for their consent, thats fine, as people might not have the time or patience to sit through torture RP. Players should state their reason for “kidnapping” them to rob in OOC chat, and then continue the RP. If the player being kidnapped is not satisfied with the response, they can report the player via forums. It would allow for much less ruleplay rather than roleplay, and would allow for smoother RP

    Murdablock

Being British born, Jonathan Wellers lived there for the majority of his life. His parents provided for him and he was always grateful for that. Jonathan did however have a noticeable appeal about him, he was always a bit of an adrenaline junkie. He did hard drugs for the fun of it and couldn't get enough. The law eventually caught up with him at the age of 21. Despite him being successful, with a girlfriend and money at such a young age, he was forced into escaping to another country, leaving no trace of his existence. He'd rather lose everything than let the Five-0 win. He arrived at Los Santos airport with only $7000 in hand. Jonathan Wellers never really took the city seriously at the start. He always stole cars from gang members and got into chases for the adrenaline, but it always almost ended with him waking up at the hospital. He thought he could relive his flamboyant lifestyle in this city, but without the financial support of his parents and his ruined criminal record, he immediately lost the $7000 he came into the city with. He was homeless and broken with no opportunity to have a legal job, sitting on the streets corner with drink at hand. However one day, while walking along the street, he saw a Pistol .50 with 50 ammo lying there. Someone must have dropped it and not have realised. He realised this was his opportunity to start making money. He would offer to sell this gun to people, and took their money and robbed them with the pistol he was pretending to sell. He made over $30k in one day and he realised this was it, he could finally get back on top. With the help of some of his friends with gun licenses, Jonathan quickly got his net worth up to a reasonable standard. He would give them a cut, but pocket a lot of the money. He actually started giving people the guns he promised as finally he had some dignity and respect he had to maintain. He had an F620, which he slept in, and a warrener he could use for mining to get some more money. Within a week, Jonathan had made over $200k. He bought himself a Specter and decided to join a gang called Los Atlas. This gang rode around in Pink, and Jonathan just wanted people he could reliably call upon just in case he got into some trouble. A day passed, and the gang was wiped immediately by one person alone. His name was Lance Slash. He had heard his name before and knew that he was one of the High Commanders in WCA. Immediately Jonathan knew that he needed someone like this to be his leader. He got into contact with Lance before the gang we know as Murdablock today was created. Lance welcomed Jonathan with open arms, and Jonathan joined as one of the first few members of the gang. As days progressed, the colour and name of the gang was decided. Fast forward to today, Jonathan now has a net worth of $1 million. Finally, he could live the life that he wanted to live when he first arrived to Los Santos. Being in the gang for over a month now, Jonathan has earned the respect of his highers and lowers. He treats his lower ranks the same as he would treat those who were higher then him in the gang. He knows Murdablock will be one of the most renown gangs in the city in the future....
