  1. If you do find that it charges you when on a job, post screenshot proof as a bug report Also as for the bit about it ruining the flow of traffic...it's hardly causing traffic jams for the odd car that goes down that highway every few minutes. If anything it just makes some new RP opportunities for example I saw some gang members running one the other day and had some great banter.
  2. Huge +1 I love the new furniture system and I have debated making my business property just a fully custom home instead as the existing furniture in 1g/2g/3g makes design really limiting. I'd love blank canvases and also would give different properties value based on how well it's decorated which would be a nice change than having location be the only factor in selling houses as well as give them a little competition to how nice looking apartments are
  3. There is just straight up no option for short sleeved variations of gloves for the faction I believe, so they need to be added to the faction loadout
  4. I think that's just a straight up bug. I only bought vip for the first month and my promoted posts are still there circulating. 100% agree overall though for moving advertisements to lifeinvader (even if the OOC rule is that it must have the #advertisement hashtag or something so they can be pooled together or a facebook marketplace kinda deal as mentioned above)
  5. +1, I believe the LTU server has migrated its forum IC advertisement section to lifeinvader and I think this server would benefit from it also. The first few weeks of lifeinvader was really good and I would love to see some love go to it
  6. Relevant similar suggestion
  7. @Speed Racer Yeah I would view it more of a way to get you out of a predicament long enough to get you to the right service similar to how cpr is a temporary measure to get you to a medic or hospital.
  8. +1 Some good suggestions for both sides
  9. With this being a thing I really hope this suggestion is considered as gov website stuff is a BIG part of Human resources/field training/recruitment divisions & departments for Emergency Services
  10. +1 if someone in the vehicle didn't /paytoll then they should get a ticket as if they blew past a speed camera. Just a simple citation that value would be higher than paying the toll.
  11. Okay, to combat the negatives of removing mechanic RP: You know how MD host BLS classes to allow people to /cpr? How about a similar sort of "apprenticeship" or "certification" that people could go through with Bayview/LSC to be able to use these purchasable toolkits, showing their character has learned that specific skill. As anyway, it's not realistic that everyone would know how to do this The item could work similar to phone charger, use once inside of the car and the item would disappear (be stored in the car) and allow you to /selfrepair with a long action timer and cooldown that would set the vehicle to the bare minimum to get to a mechanic to properly fix it at LSC/BV, with the command only working if you've got the certification. I do agree that /mechanic can be a pain a lot of the time and it does take away a lot of RP when there's none online so this could also be limited to when there's a small number online. And whilst I do agree with the point with it potentially removing rp from mechanics, it could generate RP in other ways for example "oh you've broken down, let me attach my jumper cables to your car and help you like a kind citizen!"
  12. An equipment slot that you could buy a holster item for (or different types of holsters) is an interesting idea. So a concealed carry one that would be most expensive and be able to hide pistols other than the .50. I still think this shouldn't be concealable as it's realistically huge and maybe it would promote more use of the cheaper, smaller, less effective guns for the benefit of the ability to hide (but still at a cost). And then a variety of other holsters that could use the in-game models so it's not just floating on your hip. Would be a neat little feature that could benefit criminals and also offer some visual changes for legal characters.
  13. @Wolokai142
  14. I get that, and for some things the web version will be superior. But reading/responding to emails by pulling out your phone on-duty will be a nice little thing and also using it for reference to look up information to keep some immersion would be neat. My main reason for this suggestion is obviously website support is supported by the phone and with this being an IC website I think it makes sense for this to be an option with hopefully minimal development.
  15. +1 for a "docks" that would be a garage for boats. People shouldn't need a canal house to own a boat

    Chess

+1 chess minigame would be amazing. Even if not having full script implementation of how pieces work etc (as that seems technically complicated, but then again poker was done sooo), having a board UI with pieces on that can be clicked and moved that's synced where it would be awesome and have the rules player-enforced. I would absolutely support the idea of any kind of extra minigames beyond poker and dice.
  17. >* you cant rent them out on comercial level unless you have a license for weazel news posts This is an in-character issue really, you caaannn do it technically just not legally. But I don't think IC barriers like this are relevant as there's several options available to rent one beyond what you describe both legal and illegal. >* you cant put drug labs in there so they dont add help making any money, This was explicitly said when they were first put up for sale that these apartments were primarily aimed at civilian characters and not criminals. (Personally speaking I still think its a poor-rp action to cook drugs in an apartment complex) And this is kind of the point. The fact you can upgrade it all the way to a 6g apartment is very strong of a tool in itself when you consider how much it would cost IC cash to get 6g (Even buying apartments at their cheapest would be ~$1mil for a 6g, let alone it has a fancy (AND large, modifiable) interior, I believe you get a lot for what is effectively considered a normal apartment as far as taxing is concerned. I don't know the exact tax values for properties (plus it's IC info) but working with the numbers you give, assuming apartments are 250k, your net worth would be $1.14mil ( 2x 250k apartments, 1x 450k kamacho) leaving about 50k of cash you might have on you/in bank that would push your assets to 1.2mil like you said. I think this is very fair and do you not think someone who owns a very popular top range car, and 2 apartments would naturally be considered rich enough to be in a higher bracket? As for assets fluctuating with market price, that's a whole other suggestion in itself which I believe is in this forum somewhere and is a very complicated topic. But tl;dr I don't think they're meant to be for making money, they're meant as a utility for the more civilian side of roleplay and in the grand scheme of things, their tax values are extremely reasonable.
  18. Welcome Roman, We look forward to the next 8 years with you I hope to see you in-game
  19. With lifeinvader being a real IC website available as a phone application I think there's enough use of it to have the government website (https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/) one as well. The mobile version of the forum is usable enough to fit on the small screen as well as lifeinvader currently does [see below] and would be a nice addition to emergency services faction members as well as easier for people to ICly direct people for things such as IA reports, gun licenses, business registration, job applications. In fact, I use gov website on my irl mobile all the time for faction stuff so it's very usable on a small screen. Edit, Second suggestion:: Give Laptops (Or even MDCs) a use as a proper web browser for lifeinvader and government website An option for it to be used on laptops is also a possibility with a larger screen such as the MDC one. Which could allow for basic web browsing of IC sites with tabs so Human Resources/FTO etc of gov factions can do their work and not be penalized for it especially when those people already do a lot out of game.
  20. I'm DOC, we pay well at all ranks, and should be very active when on the job to a point where time flies by. As High Command, we have never considered a need to increase our HC's pay and we've said to each other before that if it needs adjusting for other staff members we'd likely reduce our own pay if needed before scaling everything up. I understand that irl a higher-up in a job might get paid a lot more than lower level workers but I feel the balance now is fine. Also the people in those higher-up positions of Warden, Chief, Sheriff, CEO etc have been on the server a LONG time and just straight up have no real need for salary as they've passively made a lot getting to those positions so I don't imagine there's demand from it as someone in the top pay bracket of DOC. On top of this as it's been mentioned, we don't expend much in the job. I'd much rather see an overhaul in freelance job rebalancing to divert people that can't/won't get 'real' jobs to do more freelance work beyond fishing.
  21. +1 We need more incentives and punishments that we can work with the inmates. Good behavior is a thing and solitary should be feared for a reason beyond "im away from everyone else" A stamps/prison job/luxury item overhaul would be very valuable for both guards and inmates.
  22. +1 What sort of jerry can is one-use irl? Having one in your trunk you can use in a pinch then right click>refill in proximity of a gas station just makes sense. I also like the idea of siphoning if you have another script item like the tube alongside the jerry can.
  23. +1 I also made a suggestion for some other additions to this spawning mechanic for the DOC/Weazel news A nice quality of life change for server restarts
  24. Adding a "Bolingbroke Penitentiary" spawn point for when the server restarts (more specifically server rollbacks) would be extremely useful to many people. Every other government job beside DOC and Weazel News has a spawn point and even the trucker yard but there is no spawn point that is even walking distance from the DOC (such as Sandy). For server rollbacks for DOC guards driving out of the prison on a server crash we'd usually end up stranded in the middle of the state with our vehicle back at the prison. Edit: Feel free to merge with this thread - Credit to this suggestion that's specifically for more MD spawn points:
