  1. You are the one implying that if they are caught on camera they would be arrested for the crime, therefore it's you who is using the straw man here, I simply pointed out that these things happen on the real world, you are saying I'm wrong based on your infactual assumption that the perpetrators were caught with no evidence to back up your claim other than your opinion and using it to try and dismiss the fact that these things do happen in the real world.
  2. Yes they were caught on camera, that does not mean they were caught and that is two examples that were caught on camera, how many instances of this were not!?
  3. That is categorically not true. I don't know where you live or what experiences you have had in the real world but I can assure you from my experience of the real world that is factually incorrect
  4. I agree with Flint wholeheartedly here. Firstly the fact that there are criminals and gang members attempting to use this as protection is pathetic. All of us who chose to live a criminal life should expect and be prepared for the danger associated with this. You live by the sword you die by the sword right? I can somewhat agree or live with not being able to rob people in clothing stores/barbers/tattoo shops as players are vulnerable while in the menus here and with only one way in or out are at a very disadvantageous position and there would be CCTV present, but at the same time isn't this why criminal wear masks to conceal their identity? Yes you can argue that there would be a shopkeeper etc there in real life but at the same time how would this really affect the outcome? is a shopkeeper really going to risk their life for a stranger IRL? Obviously not. The state we IC'ly live in has a huge proportion of criminals compared to your average real life city, thus you would expect a higher level of lawlessness and crime. In my real life my grandmother ran a post office from her house, it was situated on a very busy main road, that post office was robbed over 30-40 times at gunpoint/melee weapons etc, the fact that it was on a busy road had no implications nor did it act as a deterrent for this. Now in my adulthood I live in the city center of a capital city in europe, crime happens on the daily and in broad daylight. Not 200 meters from the country's busiest tourist attraction a group of tourists were robbed for there phones at gunpoint, middle of the day. I have watched as 20+ teenagers have run into a shop grab €400+ worth of food and sweets and run away on foot just for a laugh. People have money snatched from their hands when making withdrawals from an ATM. Crime happens everywhere and when you have such a high proportion of the populace who are criminal as we do in our RP city realistically you would expect more crimes and more blatant attempts to commit them. The argument about high risk low reward is bullshit imo, if someone feels that they risk involved in robbing someone for a .50 is worth it and they get away with it clearly the risk wasn't that high to begin with and there are IC solutions for these issues such as having police on regular patrols instead of having almost the whole force involved in every chase. In game you can rob a store on a busy road, make 13k between two people and it will take 18 mins and this is acceptable in terms of risk versus reward but robbing someone for a .50 with a street value of 10k in less than 2 mins and this is deemed to be too high risk for too little reward, it doesn't make sense. We are supposed to imagine that the high way is busy when it is not right? but why does this only apply to criminals, SWAT and PD/SD regularly open fire with automatic weapons during chases on these supposedly busy highways putting the lives of these imaginary witnesses in danger, why are they not being held to the same standards are us crims? Recently a report was accepted and a punishment issued because a guy was robbed in the forest between the lumber mill and west highway at 2am. I am astounded by this to be honest, how can it be non-rp for someone to attempt to rob someone in the dead of night in a forest but its completely acceptable for a lumberjack to be working alone at 2am? Because we understand that at the end of the day its a game we are playing and the lumberjack was trying to make some money yet the the criminal is not given the same opportunity to make money in his profession. If its realism we strive for the lumberjack shouldn't have been working in the dead of night like that, would that be considered high risk low reward due to the inherent dangers of working that kind of job in real life? Isn't it non-rp for legal civilians, mechanics, medics etc to always carry .50s with them, especially on duty as this would never happen in real life! It feels like the the non-rp rules are being used as a bat to beat the crims of the server with and are not being fairly applied to all members of the community. Its sad to see so many of my criminal friends (and enemies) feel so demotivated to play recently and I can honestly say I have felt the same. With the city wide NCZ i feel we are also taking the element of danger away from the civilians of the server. When i first joined the city there was a constant sense of danger when when refueling or going into certain stores, getting robbed for my legal weapon or vehicle thought me to play smarter, it also thought me how to properly use my /me's and /do's and it made sense, there was a natural ecology civilians are afraid of getting robbed by criminals, criminals are afraid to get caught by police and get stuck in jail of hours at a time and get hammered by fines. The jail time alone is enough of an OOC punishment as it could potentially take away your full day of playing. This all made sense from both a game design and a realism/RP standpoint, now not so much.
  5. +1 they should have one primary weapon (AR/Shotty/SMG/Micro) and a side arm only.
  6. Bro in real life there is no NCZ, where I live people get mugged at bank ATMs in broad daylight. Having a gang HQ near a police station has more negative consequences than positive, you fire one shot, or hell even a shot is fired by desync and you have SD there within 15 seconds leading to raids etc. The bigger problem imo is the solo or small groups who think it makes RP sense to try rob from a gang HQ disregarding the rules around this. In the current state of the server there is no crime to commit anyway, Aztecas HQ is in the only warehouse in Paleto down the road from our church, there is no other suitable buildings from which we can operate in Paleto never mind the fact we have to be able to ICly purchase it. You say NLA can go to the barrio? I assume you mean el burro heights? NLA lived there and NLA is no more, it's Aztecas now, there is story and history behind this. Why not just remove NCZs at this point really as you can't rob people anymore with out RP reason as defined by an admins opinion, which imo is non rp in itself as in real life usually your gonna be mugged by a stranger who sees an opportunity and takes advantage of it.
  7. +1 Or have painkillers available in stores for purchase
  8. Well done on getting official!

Switching Sides It was early morning, Alicia was chilling at HQ when an off duty Deputy Callahan approached one of the vatos and asked to speak with her. The radio call came through “Alicia, there is a man here looking to speak with you” She came outside to see who it was to recognize him as Deputy Callahan of the Paleto Sheriff's Department. “Hello piggy! “What do you want?” she greeted him. He asked if he could talk to her privately so they went to the HQ roof. Apprehensive of being left alone with an LEO she asked Juan to be present too. As the 3 of them stood on the roof Deputy Callahan, Jackie, began to explain how since joining the sheriff's department he had watched our familia closely, he spoke of his time as a criminal in the city before going clean and joining the EMT’s and eventually becoming a deputy in Paleto. He spoke highly of the values of loyalty and brotherhood displayed by the vatos and how he felt law enforcement left him feeling empty and alone, how the job was more about ruining peoples lives than doing good for the community, and how he wanted to leave this career behind and join a familia of loyal brothers. Juan and Alicia stood on the roof smoking their blunts, listening to and watching the man closely, when he had finished they began questioning him, his motives, his trustworthiness. After some time they consulted with each other, both were confident his motives were pure and this was not a ploy by sheriff Wallace to get an informant in the familia, but at the same time it would take more than just words to prove this and if he were to be given the chance it would take input and vetting from more than just themselves. At the next meeting of High Command the topic of Jackie was brought up, some were apprehensive, repulsed at the idea of a morrano being their family. Others were able to see the advantages of having someone experienced with the day to day operation and tactic used by our number one enemy. Eventually a decision was reached, he would be vetted one further time and given a test, if the test was passed, he would be given the opportunity to become a New Fish. Jackie was sent a single text message, be at Humane Labs the time and date also specified. He arrived and parked his car, moments later two grey camo Kamachos rolled into the car park and came to a halt either side of his car. He stood there as two men in the grey shirts of Los Aztecas approached him, the first, Angelo, began to pat him down for any weapons or bugs, neither were found, the second man Tony rummaged stood with a burlap sack in his hands as soon as the pat down was finished he put it over Jackie’s head, tightening it impairing his vision. He was then led to the back of a Kamacho and taken to a remote location, an abandoned farm house in nearby Grapeseed. Jackie was led to the basement, surrounded and questioned again, this time the questioning was led by El J’efe. Jackie did well, but words are cheap, it’s actions that speak the truth. A man was led to the basement, handcuffed not dressed in any identifiable gang colors, a sack over his head, the man was quiet at first, A .50 caliber pistol was handed to Jackie, if he was to prove his intentions were to be a part of this familia and to prove he was not working for police he must execute this man, right here, right now, in front of all who were watching. Jackie had two questions. “May i see who he is?” “No” “May I know what he has done to deserve this fate?” “He is a traitor to our familia” The handcuffed man became angered and begane shouting “I will see you all in fucking hell!” Jackie took a deep breath, pointed the weapon at the man's forehead and pulled the trigger. CLINK The gun was empty, no one had died but Jackie had proven his loyalty and earned his chance to be a new fish and potentially join the familia, Los Aztecas. He left his first meeting with his new family, went to the sheriffs office, proudly wearing the signature grey shirt of Los Aztecas and resigned immediately.

  13. Big -1 from me as a crim, there is literally 0 to do in prison currently, sentenced need to be capped so they are not as long as they are now in my opinion. 6 hour sentences are already waaaay to long, cap it at 2 hours.

A Place To Call Home Left without a HQ from which to run day to day operations, more importantly a place to call home and with the offshore account having been cleaned out by the defectors, the familia needed to find a new HQ. Several locations were scouted and one stood out among them as the perfect place for the AZTECAS to call home. In order to make this place our home first the familia must buy the land so a plan was made between the high command and set in motion. For the next few days the money transporters were watched and followed around Blaine County, their routes, times, shift patterns all studied and noted. A meeting was called and a plan explained to the vatos. Money trucks were the target. The goal, not personal wealth, but rather a roof for the famila to sleep under at night. Every last detail was explained. Two Kamachos and a Rebela to transport the men and money, a drag to scout the area, tail the targets and keep watch. Each vehicle would be occupied by 4 vatos, a designated driver and 2 Men to unload the bags of cash from the truck and into the Kamachos and one to secure the money truck driver. The vatos set out, the plan was now in motion. License plates were removed from each of the vehicles, each of the vatos was masked and gloved to conceal their identity and avoid leaving any fingerprints behind. Guns were loaded, gas tanks were full, the Aztecas were ready. The drag tore down the road, in search of a money truck, while passing Braddock’s Farm the first target was sighted moving north as expected, the news was radioed in by the drags driver Apol and the rest of the vato’s moved out from Paleto heading south towards the target. The money truck pulled into the gas station opposite of North Lab, as the driver exited the vehicle the Vatos pounced, one man from each vehicle secured the driver. On his knees and petrified he dared not touch his radio, phone or panic button. The rest of the vatos began to unload the bags of cash from the vehicle’s rear, 7 bags of cash in total. The vatos were quick and efficient, the bags were loaded in a matter of minutes and they were all back in their vehicles before and out of there before any passerby could alert the authorities. The vatos went back to the hideout and laid low to let the heat cool down and prepare for the second hit. As night fell the vatos moved out once more. The target was spotted moving to Paleto from the east highway, its drop, an ATM just off the main street in Paleto, only meters from their former home, the Church. Once again, the plan went smoothly. The money transporter again subdued without a shot fired, the vatos loaded up the kamachos again and were gone before anyone else could know. Returning again to the ranch and safely storing the cash the mission was a success. All the vatos needed was the ranch’s owner to return from his foreign business trip so they could secure it as their new HQ, their new family home. Days and days passed and text messages did not deliver, no sign of the owner. The vatos were getting frustrated, while functionally they had been using the ranch as their own, they wanted it to be truly theirs but the owner was nowhere to be found. Out of nowhere on Tuesday in an ironic twist of faith, Carlos receives a text from the church’s owner. He needs cash and wants to sell the vatos old home, the church. A price was quickly agreed and a deal made and the church was bought, at this point only 2 Aztecas knew the church was ours again, Carlos who had done the deal along with Juan who had figured it out.. They had to let the rest of the familia know we had our home again. Juan changed his clothes, now dressed as one of the defectors, he bobby pinned from down the street as Carlos kept watch which they abandoned outside the church, Carlos and Juan went inside and locked the door. Juan handed Carlos his pistol, put on his new mask and got on his knees. Carlos made a backup call on radio; “Get to church now, all of you. I have one of them on their knees inside. Get here fast!” Every vato on the frequency dropped what they were doing and rushed to the church, ready to commit some heinous acts. Guns drawn they entered the church, and took the “defector” upstairs. On his knees guns pointed at him from every direction, Juan removes his mask. “WE GOT YOU! Welcome home vatos!” The vatos were in disbelief, shocked, delighted, confused, but it didn't matter, the church was ours again, our home was ours again.
  16. Thanks for the kind words
  17. Actions and Consequences A young Balla makes the mistake of putting his hands on an NLA vata, not only a chika, a member of High Command. Juan and Carlos both agreed, this needed a retaliation.First visiting the old Balla hood of Grove Street then a trip to Jamestown turned up nothing, the vatos searched and searched for Ballas all over the city, nowhere to be found. In the dead of night a group of vatos broke into the garage of a Balla higher-up, lock-picking their cars to lure them in. Once the opportunity presented itself the vatos pounced. Gunning down 3 purple clad men in the Ballas new hood Jamestown before setting upon the leader himself. Taken from his car, left protection less and friendless he was given a message. Set up a meeting and bring Devan. Mirrors (if blocked by YT in your country): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AQokAYP8SYz6bpsv0DnEJgrXBP5ooOk7 https://streamninja.com/v/j6YK6jkQDmqGP
