As I was saying, I was followed for about 25 seconds from a distance that I did not realize the officer was following since it was so far away. I could not see or hear the lights and sirens. As the officer catches up, I am using my cruise at 80km/h and he follows for another 30 seconds then I am arrested. As you would know if you read the post entirely, in most states of the US, you can't be charged with Felony Evading if you had no intent to evade the police. That is why in the petition I clearly had a message to City Hall in order to change the penal code to better reflect standard US law. As for your question regarding my "workplace," I am a Senior Driver at DCC and Trainee at Bayview.

Failing to yield to a police officer is a citation (Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles, VC07) however, the officer in this case somehow gave me a felony even though I had no intent to evade. It is ridiculous and it has really impacted myself as a legal worker with a legal career that might lose it all.

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is currently safe and together with their loved ones. In less than 24 hours ago I was arrested for 1 count of Felony Evading. I was imprisoned in Bolingbroke Penitentiary and forced to endure the prison life. I was arrested under false charges. I was treated very poorly by the LSPD. I gave no signs of threat yet I was surrounded with firearms pointed at me. I was profiled for being part of a legal Club and arrested for something I did not do. I am a legal worker, with a growing career and awaiting a promotion. However, I may have to give up on that because of this arrest. To give context, I was simply driving and enjoying my sports SUV alongside a friend. A police officer saw me and proceeded to follow me from a distance. I can neither hear or see their lights and sirens. By the time the officer catches up to me, I was using my cruise control and driving at 80 km/h. I finally see the cruiser as well as the lights and sirens and allow him to overtake me. He doesn’t do so and keeps following me, without informing me to pull over using his megaphone or anything of the sort, despite me only going the speed limit under cruise. I continue driving with the officer following me for another around 500 meters before I reach my destination at the Department of Motor Vehicles. I park my SUV and turn off the engine before the officer shouts me to pull over via his megaphone. At this point I am parked, with my engine off, I do not understand why he would only tell me to pull over just now. Soon after, 3 more cruisers arrive and a High Speed Pursuit Unit Progen T20 arrive as well. I have a total of 4 firearms pointed directly at me and my friend. I step out my vehicle with both my hands in the air and after throwing my keys away. They proceed to steal my licensed firearm, never returning it, as well as my personal belongings. I am put in cuffs and arrested for a false charge of Felony Evading. It is hard to debate against any charges and the LSPD can simply do what they want to you. In most states in the United States, Felony Evading is NOT a crime unless you intend to evade the Police officer. As I clearly stated, I was simply driving under cruise control and the officer did not give me any demands to pull over. Although I did make a mistake of not pulling over at the sight of an emergency vehicle, I am only human, and a mistake such as this is usually only a citation for failure to yield (Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles, VC07). However, I am given a felony on my record instead of a simple citation. What impact did this have on me (or any possible future victims)?: I have my Firearms License revoked. I do not understand why my Firearms License would be revoked, even though I was carrying my own firearm that I purchased under my name, and not once did I use it in this interaction. Ironicly, my drivers license and truckers license remain intact despite those being the actual ones used. I have to wait 3 months before I am allowed to reapply for my Firearms License. Despite what the officer arresting me said (that I will be able to receive my license again afer a 2 day suspension), that is simply false and untrue. When talking to other victims of LSPD abuse, they claimed that their respective officers also told them the same lie, only to find out that it is “permanently revoked” and have to wait a period of 3 days. I am suspended in my workplace and possibly discharged in my 2nd workplace. As I said, I am a completly legal citizen, with a career and a legal organization. Because of this arrest, I have the risk of possibly losing both my occupations and destroying my months work of building a career. I have to spend a total of 30 days in the penitentiary because of this false charge. I am unable to eat alongside my loved ones nor interact with them outside of regular visitation schedules. I have to endure being treated like an animal in the penitentiary alongside other criminals and victims of abuse. What can you do to stop this sort of abuse of power?: Join me by signing this petition and making your voice heard that you are no longer tollerant to the LSPD’s abuse of power. If you have already suffered this sort of abuse of power, please submit an IA report to the LSPD and hopefully have a fair and unbiased relook at your case. To the LSPD, LSSD, and SAGOV: We appreciate that the LSPD and LSSD risk their lives everyday to protect and serve the City and also Los Santos County. However, we are tired of the abuse that often happens within these organizations. For the SAGOV, please have a relook at the Penal Code specifically for Felony Evading. Someone who fails to yield should not be charged with a felony for evading police if they have no reason nor any intent to evade them. Please make this clear in the penal code as well as adjust any more charges necesarry. Thank you for reading this petition. -1 As the leader of the only major street racing Faction on the server, mixing things up and keeping it from getting stale is something we have meetings on and discuss upon. Things such as leaderboards, tag races, sprint races, etc. are all things we come up with in order to keep races interesting. For what you said on making bets, buy ins, etc. are all things that my Faction already does. We regularly host races with a buy in and a prize. An example is when we hosted a $10,000 buy in and a Mule prize. Something like this does not require script support to be done. Scamming is something IC, if you don't trust the host than don't join. If you don't trust the other participants then ask for the money before the race begins. Lastly, for the matter of police intervention. I think this is something that is completely IC. If you really wanted this to be more of a thing start a rally or something similar and ask PD to shut them down. TED already regularly patrols these locations as far as I'm aware and I think the amount of police intervention is currently enough. Just enough to make it interesting yet not overkill that we can't RP races anymore.

90% of the time these robberies have little to no RP involved. "Hands" and /me pats down is not RP. If you really wanted to RP, you can hop in the victims car, hold him up silently using /me and tell him to drive somewhere more remote. After that you can do what you please to him. That is called RP, not "hands hands" and taking people's GPS' off

Robberies IRL have witnesses that can direct the police. In Eclipse its not possible. Plus what are you gonna rob anyways? A GPS? Theres no point.

I think this faction looks way too similar with what we’ve already had and went through in the past. Right now it just looks like yet any other “gang,” even though this claims to be a Cartel.

How much are you looking to loan and what do you have as collateral?

I've roleplayed as both someone called in for questioning by detectives as the one being investigated and also the one filing a request for investigation. They do allow you to have someone with you during questioning as your lawyer.

You can have someone RP as a lawyer with you, but only during questioning. As someone who's been part of detective RP multiple times I know that if a detective would want to question you about a crime / any other info you can ask for a lawyer and have someone RP that way with you. However, a DOJ faction has been suggested multiple times and I personally don't see it plausible or happening any time soon.
