  1. -1 The playing times of LSEMS are not active enough as it is. Even during peak times its hard to get a response and often players just bleed out. Any attraction away from the main roles within the service will only add to the issue. Rather Keep as freelance jib and just remove the player interactions all together. Instead, once a player dies, start a timer, after 10 minutes, a coroner is notified, they go collect the body and get paid. - removes issue of player not knowing how to report - removes issues of having to stay around after reporting - gives plenty of automatic work during peak times I see other suggestions about decaying bodies and payout tweaks. Honestly its best to just go back to basic on this one. No need to spawn bodies and complicate things. Player dies, on duty coroner gets pinged, they collect the body and boom, ez.
  2. Yeah could also do that for sure however still feel like to help alleviate the "flipping" aspect by experienced/longer players (those that own multiple houses), my original suggestion would be more on point... but yeah, can do both tbf./
  3. As I say the 5 minute timer window would allow for some wiggle room... However another easy counter to this would be /investigate [ID] we can also just create a simple command which starts the timer. Overall this would not be a large or even remotely significant task for the devs tbf, if code base is up to par. Just a few simple little checks, maybe a triggerBox or colShape or whatever for the jail and a little command to start the investigation timer..
  4. ahh ok, yeah as I thought then. So yeah, for these auto-selling inactivity houses I would stand by the original suggestion that players that have never bought a property before, should get a small 48-72 hour window where they have priority purchase. cheers.
  5. Oh ok, maybe i am not clued up enough with the current system then tbf I just bought a property for 200,000 and I figured it was an auto auction one as it had lockers and items still inside it... I had just assumed this was due to the player being inactive and after a set amount of time the property is automatically listed again to buy. Ill research the current system more, cheers mate
  6. Due to experienced players juust buying and flipping houses, staff included, I think it is reasonable to put a system in place which helps first time buyers (newer players) get a foot on the property ladder. This should be an easy implementation with a slight UI change, a timestamp in the DB to remove the UI and a check on the database to see if a player has ever owned a property. Essentially, when a property is placed onto the market by staff, from inactive players, players who already own a home should not be able to purchase the newly available property for a certain amount of time (ideally 3-5 days). This gives first time property buyers a chance to possible save a bit more, then to purchase the property. This is aimed at helping player retention, giving access to properties to players who don't already have one and I cannot see how this could impact the server in a negative way. UI Changes - Add a "First home" line to the property UI during the 3-5 day period i mentioned - Remove the UI once the period has ended. Cheers
  7. +1 I put stamps into the reduction thing about a month ago when first getting back. Never used it since, advised everyone not to use it and just save the cash instead.
  8. Use a timer from cuffs to help get around this issus. As you say the issue is with individuals, so lets remove them from the equation. Every crim, guilty or not is placed into cuffs during investigation on the street, or in a cell if in PD. We should aim to use this benchmarks to start timers. - place cuffs onto a player or place player into a holding cell at PD - This starts a 5 minute timer - For the first 5 minutes the player is not on remand as this is usual investigation time. - After 5 minutes any remaining time in detention would be removed from the sentence once charges have been applied. We need to ensure we remove the human discretion and rely on clear benchmarks during the arresting and investigation proceedings to insure fairness.
  9. The crims would be on "remand" so serving time whilst the investigation is going ahead... i dont see any benefit from a crims view for trying to break them out, maybe i am missing your concern? If they succeed and they free the crim, and the crim was found guilty, then a warrent is issued and the crim when found would have added sentences for escaping jail if they succeed and the free the crim, yet the crim was found innocent, then a warrant is still issued fro fleeing police custody. If they fail, and the crim is found guilty, then the crim has already served their time, and now his friends in prison also If they fail and the crim is innocent, then tbf, it was a dumb move anyways haha
  10. Wait, how is this still an an issue? The system ought to be designed where the fact of it being 10 people involved or 1 person involved irrelevant Concerns - Crim wait time (means less content for everyone) - Police roleplay - policie investigation Simple then: - During active investigation officers place players into PD holding cells (this is called remand in the UK) - Police conduct the investigation (Police roleplay sorted then) - Of convicted just take this off the crims sentence as "time served" exactly the same as IRL - If not convicted then no worries, it was all RP anyways. I see no reason why "holding" time is not the exact same thing as someone being on "remand"... should be an easy fix and makes everyone happy.

  15. I think it takes like 1 minute to catch a fish, so 4-5 cooked fish sounds about right to be full to me. Given the time taken to both catch and cook this feels right to me...
  16. A honda accord does not cost the same price.. we have street gangbangers driving them... maybe then, the emphasis should be a actually roleplaying vehicles instead of changing the price as i mentioned. If most gangs ride the same rides, what are we even doing here?
  17. -1 yeah this. Still makes zero sense to have such weapons show.
  18. Increase the amound of hunger gained from a cooked fish. Entire faction is centerd around hunting, famiring, fishing and trying to sustain ourselves... Right now its easier to just RP cooking and eating a fish, but juust eat a burger instead. Maybe take a look at the point gained and tweak maybe.
  19. The fact that every gang has one with multiple members having them, hell some even have 2 of them.. They are very clearly the meta ride for gangs, clearly are not expensive enough and at this stage, its almost none RP to have this many Kamachos. + they are very cheesy. We really need to x3 or x4 the price of a Kamacho.
  20. Fair play mate. Doesnt sound too bad now that ive got a cleaner idea of how it ought to be used. For those where its just a totally random tackle sure ill report but i can see its use cases more now, appreciated.
  21. Yeah i dunno how i came across as a noob but somehow I did, yeah not new just returning, from 2019.. server was very very different.
  22. also, consider, when tackled you character is locked into an animation, during which you cannt phone, cannot move, cannot respond at all... how coudl this impact the ability to RP fro those who use text only, vs those who sue mics?
  23. ahh gotcha gotcha yeah 100% im just new back from 2019 and a bunch of stuff has changed. So far ive only seen this tackle used to bait responses. At least with fists, there is the opportunity to let the other person know you want to engage due to the position and stance when holding the RMB. Im curious what the arguments were to include this feature in the first place and the added benefits it brings to the server.
  24. it would be yes?
  25. so just to confirm, the moment somone tackles me, i can either 1) report them , or 2) retaliate and shoot them?
