On the 6th of April, LSPD's Media Relation Division organized an Award Ceremony for all the department's members and for the public. This was mostly done to catch up on the massive amount of awards that were pending and a large number of awards that were valid for many officers of the department. Some of these awards being (but not only) the Field Training Completion Award, given to officers who successfully finished the Field Training Program. And the 2 months service award, given to officers who served under the department for 2 months or more. The event was taken place at the Los Santos Golf Course. And was open for all who may wish to see it. Attendance was quite large by both officers of the department and the general public, and food and water stands were set up. The event itself began with a speech from the Chief of Police, Samuel Osborn and then and moved towards a speech from the Investigation Bureau Coordinator, Elena Blake. Then, the award-giving section. For an hour and around 30 minutes, awards from all kinds were given out to officers who deserved them. Over 50 ribbons and awards were given out. At the end of the award-giving, Chief Osborn moved on to the "special" awards. And invited some officers onto the stairs to receive their respective awards for their service and commitment to the department and the City of Los Santos and Blain County. After that, Police Sergeant II Paulo Witherfork got on stage and announced his resignation after a final speech to all the department's officers. As it was over, all officers began a walk towards Mission Row, bringing the event to an end. Alright so what your suggesting is that every-time a cop gets killed because of DM, NON-RP or because people treat this as if it is GTA Online. that a criminal would be able to steal a police car? Fine im okay with that but I also want to request life sentences implemented for mass murders, cop killers, and people who a mass 180 warrants because they don't want to RP properly, or create back stories but would rather play GTA Online, and only reason they are here is to shoot players that are cops. So you want us to leave our cars when we die, okay, but when you get caught, or the cruiser recovered, then I would think that you would also be open to longer jail sentencings reflecting closer to those of RL.

I agree and it was suggested along time ago with the implication of DOC. not sure how that's going out there, I haven't been arrested since their implication so but I agree create a job that if you complete x list of tasks (Takes 30mins to do... it cuts 2hours off the sentence or something) Gives people in prison the opportunity to stay active to reduce sentence, and also to rp with others... obviously you shouldn't be paid while in jail though... just get smokes or something! Even get an item that can be cashed in, or traded within the prison.... packs of smokes act like in jail currency... You could trade a pack of smokes to the prison guard for 2hours off your jtime, or give it to your boss so he can.... or make ic deals in jail... exchange smokes for deals outside the prison... I give you 5 packs of smokes... you give me a smg… or something. The possibilities are truly endless, smokes for "favors " if your into that stuff... etc...

Read the dm rules folks. Report the players on the forums, and let the admins deal with it, don't hijack the suggestion thread. As to the suggestion, the addition of additional activities for criminals is okay, Add bank heists sure. but the del menu showing number of cops/medics big NOpe…. I am sure the robbery can be scripted that it would require X members of PD on duty to even be an option to rob. I also like the idea of a time to refill the bank. Also the heist would need to take a large amount of prep work, possibly many hours of RP and activities leading up to the heist. Similar to the GTA Online heists.... I disagree that the amount of money the bank has would be broadcasted or available via a script as that is not information a standard civilian would know in RL. If someone decides to rob the bank there needs to be serious consequences if caught... more then just 2hours of jail and some fines. For a crime such as this I think that greater risk needs to be put in place for it as-well, increased jail time... making it more of a rush for criminals as risk reward needs to balance... so you rob the bank.. it has 200k in its vault.... you get away A+.... you get caught, or part of your team gets nicked... well they or he goes to jail for like 12 ooc hours. well your also committing a crime in an ncz by taking a pursuit through there.... But I feel the fines should stay as it is a deterrent. I feel like a real system that if you cant pay the fines you'd be required to have your "base income" Unemployment garnished until the fines are paid. (Essentially putting you into a negative bank balance) Really all that needs to happen is people stop driving like this is GTA online. This is an RP server, drive like a normal person and the cops wont bother you, nor the speed cameras... but everyone tries to drive like Ricky Bobby and well....yea.... But I think perhaps seeing a warning system put in on top of the current one, where players are kicked if they are repeatedly committing offenses constantly... racking up hundred speeding/reckless operation charges then this would be a good addition. As personally as a criminal I prefer to go un-noticed by both cops and civilians, allows me to do my business peacefully and not get killed and/or arrested. As the cops in a city the size of Los Santos would number in the thousands especially with the crime rates here. Also this is a massive city likely rply sitting on a population in the millions, the streets are not Talladega speedway.

-1 If you want this idea to work I would suggest that when someone dies in the turf war they are to be removed from the faction, as with past experiences of turf wars, being in the fights and also as a member of a non criminal faction, all that happens is factions go to endless war, even when they required reason for KOS, other then on waring turfs. Turfs either faction owned they could defend and would have kos in that area. As I said if you modified your suggestion so one a person died in the war they were no longer permitted to participate as they would have zero recolition of the war as it would be part of the ic story leading up to their death. Then I suspect you would likely do a lot better with your suggestion, but currently with what your outlining, every criminal faction would go to war so they can play GTA - Online with players as cops... who they would shoot endlessly. I agree with the above mentioned... this suggestion would offer no roleplay benefits.

I feel that this is not a good option, as you would when putting the gun into your inventory you should still have it on your person... I propose the opposite, if a gun is in your inventory it is to be displayed on your person.... large caliber or small. I also would like to see /ame done for guns taken from inventory with a delay in time to do so... Variable time based on size of weapon.

The second turbo works on some cars and not others, this is a rage bug not an eclipse bug.

Would like to know how criminals have figured out the advanced ignition sequence of a helicopter along with the incredible skill and practice it takes to fly a helicopter... have any of you ever been in one? I have, actually got to hold the yoke for 2 mins... I would and will never say I can fly a helicopter, there is a lot of skills needed, and I assume/know no one has rply gone to attend any helicopter training other then PD members and MD. So this is a poor example as 99% of people in RL wouldn't be able to get a helicopter to start let alone get it off the ground and if they somehow managed... they would crash before they got 15' off the ground.

I like this idea, but in your video compilation, it would offer additional role-play on both sides, but if you steal a faction vehicle said vehicle needs to be traceable via a faction menu option open to specfic ranks/positions in said faction, as all Police Cars, Couriers, Ambulances have GPS tracking that is tied directly to the ignition, meaning if its removed then the car wont run, and inorder to remove it you need to be a specialized mechanic as its a complicated process. (Try stealing on in RL, bet you dont make it 100km before they onto you, especially after shooting a cop. :D)

Issue is some of the new cars implemented aren't supported by rage, and others are so un-realistically fast that they by far exceed the speeds of any other car in the server as a base model.... some of them reach speeds over 300kph, which would be un-realistic and would put both players on both sides of the law at a disadvantage and we would be back to the comet retro style cars where they go retarded speeds. I would love to see more cars added but they need to be checked for realism (server based realism) as the fastest cars on the server max out just above 200 (except the comet retro) so the new cars would need to be tested to ensure they match these kinds of speeds.

As a cop i can see this as both a good and a bad thing. 1. if you want lawyers, then create a faction, speak to the government and get your self licensed to practice. a. This will both benefit the server and its players, this has been discussed a few hundred times, the issue with its creation was. *Criminals do a crime, cop witness it directly, they call I want my lawyer. This doesn't work as with RL if a cop sees you rob a store, shoot someone, speed, run someone over.... your going to jail. *Criminals and cops a like are often not interested in spending 2 hours legal role-play for a situation that will be concluded the same. The few instances that I have had legal RP with player based lawyers was a waste of time as the only rp the criminal did was "I didn't do it" or "Prove it" and based on the penal code and the way the server is run. If a cop directly witnesses the crime that is enough, as we are held to corruption rules and regulations above that of the general populace. *The instances i have had RP with an Admin as the Lawyer, are generally with the person being arrested is being charged for a huge list of crimes via an investigation report, where both parties negotiate discuss evidence and conclude on agreement, which of course is capped at 2 hours of J-Time. b. Increase J-time from 2 hours. I have both a criminal and my cop, reason i say this is currently the fastest Admin lawyer situation i have been part of exceed 2.5hours and the criminal still received 2 hours of j-time, to which he just afk'd out while he slept. Mean while the other player, the cop and admin just spent 2.5hours discussing a situation where the cop directly witnessed the crime, (meaning it happened and you were seen doing it) so they just lost 2.5hours of their game time arresting and entertaining one player when they could of been interacting with dozens or dealing with multiple admin reports. c. The penal code is public you can find it on the gov't page, which i am sure very few people here have taken the time to read it and/or familiarize themselves with it. Lets look at realism of other aspects of the community, as mentioned people are either cops, medics, mechanics or criminals.... Since on average there are roughly 1000 unique logins to the server (ball park) PD composes of 100members of which about 50 are active daily, MD i'm not sure how many members lets say 28 (based on another forum) and likely 15 active daily. so that's 65 law abiding citizens logging in out of 1000. leaving 935 criminals/mechanics and misc other small jobs active daily. With the crime rate in our city, using homicides as a benchmark from LS and LA, our ratio of officers to civilians would need to be roughly 80% Cops.... 200players... that's 160cops... So lets put that into the equation here when we talk realism. I understand that as a criminal you feel you are getting "shafted" when it comes to jail, but there needs to be an ic punishment for ic crime, I personally feel that yes certain parts of our policies can be public and they are on the government forums. I dont think that criminals should become whistle blowers and cop reporters. If you have ic or ooc evidence of officers arresting you without witnessing or evidence them please file an IA report, they are all reviewed and officers are spoken to. Reports that are just "i didn't do it" are looked at laughed at and thrown out. If you didn't do it provide evidence, but understand it needs to be IC for ic issues (false arrests, speeding etc.) OOC for ooc based issues but for rule breaks always report via the player reports section of the forums. In Summary, Some of our policies are public, others are being drafted by the media relations team and will be slowly released via announcements on the police website. Police codes I don't feel should be public most players know them... and with the current kos rules as soon as a cop says the code of a criminal in custody everyone comes to kill them... cops die far to often in our RP city as it is let alone if it was public. I agree 100% that this is an IC issue and should be brought up at city hall, where a civilian spokes person with a list of petitioners and a representative from the pd can have a discussion with a representative from city hall, both voicing concerns and opions.

On the 16th of February, the LSPD Media Relations Division held a triathlon at the Los Santos Dam and Tataviam Mountains which was planned by Liason Jason Steel and Liason Ilai Daniels with help they received from the rest of the Media Relations Division. The triathlon's goal was to encourage a healthy way of life for all citizens of Los Santos. To prepare, The LSPD Media Relations set a list of goals which it aimed to achieve before the event's date. Some but not all of these included the following: *Choosing the track, the route in which participants will race during the event. *Obtain bikes for the biking part so that all participants have a fair chance to win without bringing their own bikes to the event. *Get in touch with TED to make sure all traffic is monitored and safely re-directed. *Contact LSEMS to ensure all participants will receive treatment in case of injuries. *Obtain prizes as rewards for the winners. *Design flyers and map for the event. The original date and time planned for the event were subject for the 8th of February at 10:00 PM (( UTC )) however, due to small problems with the planning of the event it was delayed for the 16th of February, 8:00 PM (( UTC )). After contact with TED and LSEMS were achieved and information was exchanged. The event was set in stone. With help received from Senior Liaison Sardinsky, a flyer was made which contained the map made by Liaison Steel and was ready to be sent. On the day of the event, Commanding Officer Bacon 10-1'd all officers at Mission Row one hour before the start of the event. Then, all officers headed out to begin preparations for the event. TED under the command of Captain Davis, began working on re-directing traffic from the highway to ensure all participants can safely follow the track. Media Relations, under the command of Lieutenant Bacon splint into 2 teams. One, in charge of setting up the registration and the other in charge of coordinating the track and making sure everything is going according to the plan. LSEMS which arrived 15 minutes before the start, patrolled around and followed the participants during the entire length of the track making sure no participant is injured. Further More, a few TED and General Patrol units joined Media Relations and assisted with registration and micro-managing of the event. The event began with a registration phase, in which Media Relations set up a registration table. Where all people that wished to take part in the event went through a search and a quick criminal record check to ensure they didn't have any active warrants on their record. Officer Romano, Sergeant Sardinsky, Officer Steel and Cadet White all assisted with the registration. At this time, Officer Daniels and Lieutenant Bacon. With the help of Chief Osborn, were going around placing tables and water bottles for all participants to mark and prepare parts of the track for the event itself. Sergeant Witherfork, was meanwhile bringing a police boat and a jet ski to the lake. While this was happening, TED with the help of a few General Patrol units began blocking off the parts of the highway in which the event took part in. After this was done, the bikes have arrived. With them, 2 mechanics. Jagger Carwyn and Mason Collins arrived. And began to make sure all bikes are in top condition. They were later assisted by 2 more mechanics. 15 minutes before the event's start, Commander Quinn and Senior Paramedic Cooper arrived to assist with the event. They arrived with one helicopter and one ambulance. At this time, Dalton Vane. A General Manager in Weazel News, also arrived with a Weazel News owned helicopter in order to film and broadcast the event live on LifeInvader (( https://www.twitch.tv/videos/381738342 )). Eventually, all participants were begging to become registered. And soon after, they were all brought onto a small pier to begin the swimming part. Chief Osborn, was on a jet ski, directing the participants. Behind him and all participants, were Officer Daniels and Sergeant Witherfork in a police boat. The event continued with the biking part and running part going smoothly, eventually. A second lap began, and at it's end. The 3 winners were selected. At the first spot was Dwayne Smith who stepped down and gave his prize to Jaden Hash, in the third spot was Roberto Calvi and in the fourth spot (who became third after Dwayne passed on his prize) was James Eriksen. They all received their perspective prizes, which were the following: *Maxed Penumbra+50k US dollars given to the 1st place. *Bati 801+50k US dollars given to the 2nd place. *50K US dollars given to the 3rd place. After the prizes were given, TED began picking up the blockades and placing them back in their respective vehicles. Shortly later, the bikes were taken away alongside with the jetski and police boat which were returned to Mors Oceanic Insurance. LSEMS has also returned to Pillbox Medical Center with the mechanics returning to LSC. After the event's finish, another 10-1 was conducted at the Los Santos International Airport. In which Lieutenant Bacon thanked all officers who helped with the event and all external assistance (Los Santos Customs and LSEMS) who assisted with the event.
