  2. This is not possible on the server as the server does not see the world we do. There is no way to render the gta v world on server, unless you would run a game on the server, but that would require GPU, lots of CPU resources, something that doesn't come cheap in server space. Instead, I believe it should be possible for officers to use the store cameras if they get notified about a crime in the area ( if the store robbery alert triggers ) and for store owners to have access to the cameras 24/7

    The only thing current rules prevent you from doing is doing a drive by or other situations where you just mow down someone because you are at war with him you can hold up someone, you can jump someone, teach him a lesson with a bat. Not to mention, if you will be killing people by their clothing or vehicles, that will just end up with civilians getting hit. It happened before it will happen now

  9. +1 I agree, the inactive business should be put up for sale or auctioned like they were in the past. On the note of loan companies as it was mention, as a owner of a loan company, I try to limit the amount of loans I give out, if I do at all, because of lack of security in doing business. All other businesses have a secure way of earning money, while with loan companies you are risking your own money, without an IC way to recoup it. The only solution is refund request, but that takes time.
  10. Yes, I agree, people shouldn't get the additional fines, but currently that is the only way if there is no admin present. There is also the issue right now, I might know if someone escaped, but if I don't make a note or place charges on the person, other officers have no way of knowing who is wanted, even though IRL, someone escaping from a prison would get flagged up on background check I could place Prison break on them , but that doesn't tell the admin handling the situation, for how long they were actually in jail when they got released or how long they have left.

I think there was some misunderstanding, right now, if you escape from the prison your prison time is removed, so if cops are aware of your escape, the only way that prison time back is to charge you again for the crimes you were already in prison for, but didn't serve because you escaped. This is sub optimal as you have to pay the fines again What I am suggesting is that instead of removing your prison time, your prison time gets paused as you get released from the prison by using different command instead of the current one
  12. When someone successfully escapes from prison, staff members release them from prison, wiping their charges. My suggestion is that we receive an additional command to be used by staff members which will pause the sentence instead of serving it like the current command does. Current command should stay in case someone needs their sentence reduced. Example: Someone is in jail for 4 hours, they served 2 hours but escaped. The prison time would pause at 2 hours. If they get arrested for something else or brought back in, the timer would continue at 2 hours + any other charges that they received. I am suggesting this because of 2 reasons. 1st: Charges are being removed ICly by OOC command done by server admins due to the teleport script in the server. 2nd: If PD/SD is aware of the prison break and who the person escaping is, if the person successfully escaped, PD/SD could re-apply the charges as the the person hasn't served time ICly, which would rack up additional fees to the criminal, which hurts criminals

About the usage of /do checks, I believe that really depends on the people you are RPing with, if its someone that you know, your RP flow might be more fluent with less /do checks which are still needed at some parts of the RP. Even on heavy RP servers, you will see a /do check, but a higher RP level than here. For example, lets say that I would attempt to punch someone, on heavy RP server, the /do check wouldn't just be /do success?, but instead /do Would my fist connect with your face, etc. The issue is the way Powergaming rule is written, enforced and the way in your case criminals and PD interacts with each other in situations. We do /do check for every action that is forceable on the criminal, because we don't want to risk getting reported for it. As for the medic RP, even if someone says to them what happened, they can't just take someones IC word for it, they used /do for their character to actually see what happened to you and when it comes to treating the injuries, you have to know that they are not actual doctors, their job is to get you to the hospital as fast as possible and stop you from dying on the way by bleeding out, and that involves using gauze ( they should use a bandage on top of the gauze to keep the pressure on the wound ), which, looking at the state of the city, they would most likely be impregnated with clotting agents due to amount of gunshot wounds. And the last part, the actual injury. You were shot in the gut by a shotgun, your case is maybe one of those, where you were actually downed by 1 shot, but most of the time, we have to shot someone 5+ times to incapacitate them because of the state of the sync. Because people are shot 5 times on their screen, they roleplay being shot 5 times, when in reality, a well placed shot in the chest, or limbs would most likely get the suspect to give up. So you have situations where people are saying they have been shot 5 times in the chest and if we allowed them to RP dying, everyone would then request for that.

    I don't think adding vehicle replacement or other kind of overhauls to the server should be done. While it looks good at the glance and server would look nicer, you have to know that if we suddenly started adding high quality vehicles to the game, certain people might not be able to run those. RAGE is currently not the best with stability when it comes to mods, especially when it comes to downloading and loading them for the 1st time. And because server side mods are not optional, if a overhaul is done that you don't like, then you are forced to see it every time you play, but if we keep the mods clientside then you can mod the game to your liking.
  18. Let me start this by saying this is a nice suggestion on the first sight, but there are few problems that I would like to point out. While average officers can't know someone's previous names, if you get a name change IRL, your criminal history moves over to your new name, so you can't escape your past. Now to the actual suggestion. The main issue here, that exhibits less IRL is that we don't have multiple levels of identification. I don't work in financing industry exactly, but I handle lots of bills and stuff between private entities and companies and vice versa. And while this is not exactly working in HR department, I still have lots of information on how to identify someone or track them down if we are looking for them for unpaid dues. In my country, one being in EU, we have 3 ( 4 if you count health insurance stuff, but identifying people over that is illegal as that is higly sensitive information ) forms of identification. 1st one is your normal ID cards, that can be your standard personal ID card, or drivers licenses. This is used for basic level of identifications, such as when people ask you to show your ID at a store when buying liquor or when you are paying with credit card. This check is done at a face value, meaning if all information looks legit and the ID is done well, you would pass this stage. 2nd one is identifying numbers on your ID card at face value. Both on my drivers ( 3 on drivers ) and personal ID card ( 4 here ), there are unique numbers which upon inspection and some common sense on how those numbers work, all of the unique numbers are connected each other and an experienced person can see if those match ( For example, we use a number which is generated from when you were born, what area and which child you were born on that day, its not the most unique thing, but there can be some discrepancy in it, which most of the people don't know. In this case its because of the rolling over number, ( to display a year they used 3 digits instead of 4, so if you were born in 1990 you would have 990 on the card) there has been an change to x position of a number, which is used as a flag to tell if the person has been born before or after 2000 ) 2 of these numbers, especially on personal ID, are written in a special way, like it would be on a bank note for example. Officers and people at government buildings, usually look for this signs, but if you had a very good fake ID, you could still pass this. 2nd one is also identifying numbers on your ID card by running them in a system. In my country, we have a database called "Central Population Database", this database contains pictures, information about you ( address, name, number ( in some cases ),other IDs, certain information about your family members, and most importantly, picture ). This is used in a traffic stop for example, when they run you and your vehicle information, checking if the information matches and if you need to be identified because you committed a crime. --- This was all about interacting with PD and general public, such as general stores and other business entities that require you to identify yourself. --- --- Now we are going in more job interactions, which I believe is the biggest point of this suggestion, allowing people to apply for jobs they can't anymore because of their crimes --- 3rd form of identifying people. Each person is assigned their "tax" number, in a sense same way as Social Security Number ( but only used for tax purposes and not general identification ), at their birth. Once they turn 18, I believe that number is changed and you have to request it again. This tax number is used to run a financial background checks people, but at the same time it contains some parts of their employment history. While you may fake an ID, combined with the identification numbers on your ID card + tax number, its pretty much impossible for someone with fake ID to get pass this, as there would be a miss-match with the tax number. The only way this would be possible, if you had complete background information on the person you are trying to identify fraud as, this means employment history, address history and you would also have to use their name on the fake ID, so if the ID is ever ran in the Central Population Database, which can be done by private entities with your permission, you would get busted. --- With this out of the way, I can now explain the issues/my opinion --- Eclipse has nothing more than /showlicense to identify people, PD has some database when it comes to arrest reports, but because easily available surgery ( this should not change, as people make mistakes and even I have realized 1 month later after changing my character, that I don't like an aspect of it because I haven't seen it from that angle before due to limitations of the character creator ) and limitations of the game, even when we take mugshots, they all look almost the same in the end. If you made a fake ID, there would either have to be more identifiers, or there would have to be a command which could be used to identify if the ID is fake ( shitty option imo ). If there are multiple identifiers, you could have multiple levels of fake ID and identities, one that is just fake ID to pass the age check at a bar, another where they use someones stolen identity to build your fake identity on. This comes at a issue though, while you can just steal someones ID card, people don't usually carry their tax numbers on them, especially in my country. ( This gives me a good business idea though ) Not everyone could just make these fake ID's, at least not the higher level ones, not even official factions. This should be a process where people have to apply to become suppliers of stolen identities, with the people applying showing their roleplay history, making sure its up to the higher RP standard and making sure that their backstory makes sense when applying for this. And every high level stolen identity, because it will impact people a lot, especially the ones that suffer from their identify stolen, should have some roleplay oversight by the staff team.

    Well, in that situation, the person who did so, was a staff member and the report was denied, so it really didn't send off a good message about roleplay when it comes to looting.

    Except a report got denied when a person just walked to a car, pressed I and looted it, same can be said for looting a wounded person, its going to be denied and rule should be put in place for this
  23. Because then its not CK, its just wiping criminal record while they will most likely roleplay with the same faction.
  24. If there is no oversight by admins, you will have situations where people will CK only because they want to get rid of their aliases and have a clean record without any asset loss. +1 to the original suggestion
